Your Milky Way Horoscope Jan. 4-10

By Milky Way Maid

Jupiter enters Aquarius on Monday morning. Humanitarian and philanthropic causes advance under this placement. Perhaps one result of the Madoff scheme is that the foundations hurt by the fallout will find more donors and volunteers than ever. Aquarius is also rules technology, so gadgets may sell like hotcakes tho the price (and company profits) may not necessarily follow suit. Jupiter's first aspect is a square to the Moon in Taurus; possibly Taureans will have to face up to problems in the home or with issues of pride (or lack of pride) in their home.

FULL MOON on Jan. 10 at 21 degrees Cancer: Moon opposes the Sun but trines Uranus and sextiles Saturn. This Full Moon may open a way for many of us to reconcile the opposition between Uranus and Saturn with this trine/sextile from the lights to the opposing planets. This is actually very heartening. Spend a few minutes Sat. evening lighting a candle for, and meditating on reconciliation, harmony, orderly change, supporting one's family, and-or governing one's impulses.

PS – I have had my own little run-in with Chiron in Aquarius, where my natal Chiron is also placed. A nasty fall on the ice mid-December laid me up and had me using a walker. No bone breaks, thank goodness, just a nasty muscle pull and sprained ankle. Those parts are ruled by Aquarius, of course: ankle and lower leg.
Readers can follow not only their Sun sign horoscope but also the sign of their Ascendant for further clues to how your week will develop.

ARIES - March 20-April 19 – The Moon is in Aries from Jan. 3 till Monday morning. Your Moon aspects Ceres early this Sunday morn; perhaps you are moved to make breakfast in bed today, or nurture a sick family member in other ways. Try not to get into a tiff with your spouse over cleanup not done; get the kids to help. The asteroid Vesta has moved into your solar second house of money, where it creates frustrations over having to restrict expenditures, especially spending for yourself. But Vesta will move into Gemini by May, and relieve some of that restriction.

TAURUS - April 20-May 20 – The Moon is in Taurus from Monday morning till Wednesday morning. Transiting Moon squares Jupiter in your solar fourth house Monday; face issues relating to your home, for example set a realistic repair, or begin looking for a new home if your needs are not being met. You can get a lot of chores done that night. Tuesday working with a partner is productive and pleasurable. That evening you feel like playing electronic games or watching comedies. Just be sure to retire at a decent hour.

GEMINI - May 21-June 20 - The Moon is in Gemini from Wednesday morning till midday Friday. You are in a generous and positive mood on Wed., and may even treat someone to lunch. Your analytical skills are sharp that afternoon so go ahead and pore thru spreadsheets and reports. That evening your calls get thru and you receive the info you were seeking. Thursday is full of squares to your transiting Moon: to Ceres, Uranus and Saturn. A challenging day that may include computer glitches but stick to it.

CANCER - June 21-July 22 – The Moon is in Cancer from midday Friday till next Sunday. Feelings of insecurity may plague you Friday but try to avoid falling back on eating to much, or any other negative habits when you are in stress mode. Talk things over with your spouse and/or a female relative to get your head on straight again. A cuppa tea with sympathy can work wonders. Saturday you may not feel like doing much at first but you have a great opportunity to get a lot done. Make a to-do list and check things off. End the day with games, perhaps a friendly game on the Wii.

LEO - July 23-Aug. 22 – The asteroid Ceres is in your solar second house, and may have already brought some opportunities to nurse and nurture others as a source of income; perhaps you work in child daycare or in arts training. Work in the health care field is also an option for you, as sixth-house Capricorn is so active with Sun, Mercury, Mars, Pluto and Juno placed there. Jupiter moves into your solar seventh house of marriage and other partners, and this may mean you suddenly have several people interested in you. Even troubled marriages will benefit from counseling under this transit.

VIRGO - Aug. 23-Sept. 22 – Your year starts off with a crowded solar fifth house of children, entertainments, arts and romance. The Sun, Mercury, Mars, Pluto and the asteroid Juno are placed there. Juno is so duty-bound that she inhibits romances, so I do not see new love affairs, etc. Juno is very duty-bound but also very interested in children's welfare, so you might be teaching, coaching or at least chaperoning field trips. Jupiter moves into your solar sixth house of health, so you may feel an upswing in health, perhaps due to finding the right doctor or health regimen. Venus moves into your solar seventh house of marriage, bringing small endearments and gifts between you and your partner.

LIBRA - Sept. 23-Oct. 22 – Your solar fourth house of home and family is very full: Sun, Mercury, Mars, Pluto and Juno. I have referred to Pluto's presence here before in a warning to have the house thoroughly checked out for safety. Pluto can also mean renovation, which is OK if you bought the house knowing that was your plan. Mars can be heat, fire, and arguments in the home, or just the debt load you carry as the mortgage. Jupiter has moved into your solar fifth house of fun, children, romance. Go ahead and lay a dollar on the lotto, but it is more likely that you might host some foreign exchange student. Do lay down the rules of the house before accepting the arrangement, tho. A very astute lawyer or advisor can resolve complex legal issues for you.

SCORPIO - Oct. 23-Nov. 21 - Vesta moves into your solar seventh house of partners; Vesta here is too self-sacrificing, too willing to live through others. Whether this applies to you or to your spouse, it is not a healthy attitude long-term. It sextiles Venus in the solar fifth house of romance; hope this does not bring a new love interest who negates her own life to live thru you because that can get old pretty fast. However, Venus and Uranus in the fifth are great for fun in every way: seeing a comedy, games of chance, affectionate children, exciting art exhibits or engaging in arts/crafts yourself.

SAGITTARIUS - Nov. 22-Dec. 21 – Sag types are getting their finances overhauled as Pluto enters their solar second house. Pluto joins Mars (debt) and the Sun and Mercury already placed there. Venus enters your solar fourth house of home and family; probably you become more comfortable with displays of affection, hugging other family members more often. Vesta in your solar sixth house may mean an underpaid position giving support services to handicapped people or in special education. Ceres is retrograde in your solar tenth house of career from Jan.-April, so do not count on raises or promotions at least thru this time frame.

CAPRICORN - Dec. 22-Jan. 19 - Your sign is still very busy, busy with Sun, Mercury, Mars, Pluto and Juno currently occupying your sign. People will be looking to you, rightly or wrongly, to DO SOMETHING about the mess we are in. Actually less might be more, actually maybe some joint efforts would be better long-term than just handing things over to you. But somehow everyone thinks you have the natural authority to do the job. Of course YOU think they are right, and I think the world of ya, too.

AQUARIUS - Jan. 20-Feb. 17 – Jupiter enters Aquarius on Monday morning. See note at top of column about this ingress. Jupiter in your first house can lead to weight gain as well as great confidence, so watch those calories and stick to the soups or salads for most meals. Finances take an uptick as Venus enters your solar second house of money; perhaps a raise or bonus comes thru, or perhaps a sideline brings a bit more income. Pallas Athena in your solar fifth house of arts and entertainments can mean you become an avid player of chess or bridge, or can also denote a new enjoyment in teaching kids the basics of arts or games.

PISCES - Feb. 18-March 19 - Venus enters your sign so get over to the beauty parlor for a new look to freshen your image. Venus and Uranus in your first house may make you more of a flirt than is good for you; you might try your hand at comedy (Uranus) on open-mike nights, too. Associations with clubs and charitable or community groups (and friends) may demand a great deal of your time this winter. That's because your solar eleventh house of friends and groups is filled with planets for the near future. Sun, Mars and Mercury will move along by late Feb., so enjoy the camaraderie while you can. Pluto may mean that some charitable organizations you belong to may fold completely as funding dries up.
