Your Milky Way Horoscope May 2-8, 2010

By Milky Way Maid

Mercury at 5 degrees Taurus (retrograde) trines Pluto in Capricorn on Monday morning favors going back to clarify some heavy-duty issues between you. It also favors any kind of detective work, or just reading a favorite mystery series novel. Those in scientific fields might announce new research discoveries.

The Sun at 14 degrees Taurus squares Mars in equally stubborn Leo at 9:09 am Tuesday. This is a classic irresistible force meets an immovable object. Something's gotta give! It does make for a great deal of determination on the part of one person, or if two people combine their energies. Best to sublimate your physical aggressiveness in sports or challenge others to a friendly match, otherwise this aspect can result in accidents.

Happy Cinco de Mayo on Wednesday! A Moon-Venus trine is at 7:11 pm so there will probably be lots of sweets offered, plus other gifts and tokens. A Moon-Mars opposition in Leo about 10 pm says it may be well to go home early; people may be irritable and take offense easily.

Venus in Gemini sextiles Mars about 6 pm Friday. This is great for a romantic outlet for your high Leo energies. With Gemini involved, the expression may only involve conversing about a sexy subject, or in other words flirting.

Readers can follow not only their Sun sign horoscope but also the sign of their Ascendant for further clues to how your week will develop. Also note: some aspects are exact on a weekend but may find opportunity for expression on the Friday or Monday nearest the exact aspect. Times given are in Eastern Standard or Eastern Daylight Savings Time depending on the season.

ARIES - March 20-April 19 – Monday has a nice Mercury-Pluto trine from your solar second house (money) to the tenth of career; you may earn rewards for finding errors in bills or other records. Wednesday night's Moon-Mars opposition favors working off some of your enormous energy in sports or other competition, but you may have to referee several disputes. Late afternoon Friday brings Venus in Gemini sextile Mars in Leo; unattached Rams may find an interesting romantic prospect at a local hangout.

TAURUS - April 20-May 20 – Late afternoon Sunday's Moon-Mercury trine favors getting together with a mentor or professional-type friend to explain some things that puzzle you. By evening, many issues will be so much clearer, and your confusion dispelled. You might make a point of thanking him/her with a Monday brunch, or early phone call. Wednesday is a day to keep a low profile; the Moon-Mars opposition makes a T-square with your natal planets, and you could get drawn into arguments or even fights.

GEMINI - May 21-June 20 – College students may consider giving up dorm life to move back home, or vice versa on Thursday. Late afternoon Friday brings Venus in Gemini sextile Mars in Leo; you are a social animal anyway, but you will sparkle even more under this aspect so schedule a date night here. Hang out at a local party or theatre if looking to fill a vacancy in the 'special friend' department.

CANCER - June 21-July 22 – Sunday favors enlisting a friend of yours to have a chat with your spouse if your have trouble expressing your concerns. However, another friend may cost you money on Tuesday morning; don't let someone else select the brunch date location. Tuesday afternoon, the Moon-Uranus sextile may help your spouse win a legal case, or earn a scholarship to go back to school.

LEO - July 23-Aug. 22 – On Wednesday, there is a flammable Moon-Mars opposition affecting you personally, so avoid arguments and confrontations. You might work off some steam in athletics, but if there are too many fouls or disputes over plays, call the game off. Late afternoon Friday brings Venus in Gemini sextile Mars in Leo; perhaps a friend introduces you to an amazing vision of beauty. You will be in a mood to party and your glitter quotient will be higher than normal.

VIRGO - Aug. 23-Sept. 22 – Best days are when Moon is in compatible Capricorn Sun-Tues. Monday morning's Sun-Moon trine with the other earth signs could be significant with your involvement in a joint effort. You may get saddled with more than your share of work on Tuesday afternoon, though, but with Saturn's help you can breeze through chores. Friday afternoon and evening bring congenial aspects again. The Moon-Mercury sextile can bring good news about your spouse's college work or law case.

LIBRA - Sept. 23-Oct. 22 – For you, the Moon-Mars opposition on Wednesday night may just mean you enjoy a film or play with a lot of conflict. There are sure to be great performances. You may have to bail out a child on Thursday night/early Friday, but that just makes parenting interesting, doesn't it? Alternatively, you may have to set down new rules for those who are near and dear, so that you can avoid further disruptions to both your lives.

SCORPIO - Oct. 23-Nov. 21 – Best days may be when the Moon is in compatible Pisces on Fri-next Sunday. You'll enjoy seeing your spouse and children in happy chatter midday Friday. Dinner may have serious conversations or power struggles under the surface; stop pushing too much food on children, or otherwise making decisions that they should start making for themselves. Instead, let them pick their dessert, or help make a dinner. They will learn far more from that.

SAGITTARIUS - Nov. 22-Dec. 21 – The week begins with the Moon in Sag till 6 am Sunday. You only get a few hours of a fire moon Sunday, but that's OK since you probably lived in triple time Fri-Sat. The Moon is part of a T-square with Saturn on one side and Uranus on the other, making you feel restricted in some way and ready to kick over the traces and run away. The feeling will pass; just count a few blessings, and make a small rebellion like wearing pj's all day, etc.

CAPRICORN - Dec. 22-Jan. 19 – The Moon is in Capricorn from 6 am Sunday till Tuesday afternoon. Be safety conscious if trying home repairs. Accidents are liable to happen any time, but I don't like the Chiron aspect on Sunday morning. Please, even if nothing happens, check out your safety kit and clear all aisles. It is well to toss out clutter if it presents a hazard. Monday is possibly your best day, especially for a congenial date with a Taurus. Conversation might center on serious topics (Mercury trine Pluto). On Tuesday you awake feeling super, but hard work follows in the afternoon (check off your to-do list). A mid-afternoon break to share a joke at the water cooler will do you good.

AQUARIUS - Jan. 20-Feb. 17 – The Moon is in Aquarius from 4:52 pm Tuesday till Friday morn. At 1:35 am Wednesday, a Moon-Mercury square makes for poor communications, especially with Mercury retrograde. However, a Moon-Venus trine at dinner hour favors a date with a lovely woman. Keep it short, tho, because irritability rules the late evening. On Thursday there are no exact aspects except a Sun-Moon square just past midnight. Friday starts off with a Moon-Neptune conjunction, which can make for interesting dreams but can make you fuzzy-headed during your commute.

PISCES - Feb. 18-March 19 – The Moon is in Pisces from 5:34 am Friday till next Sunday evening. I would advise avoiding any decisions early Friday under a Moon-Chiron conjunction; emotions muddle your mind. Midday brings much better aspects. The Moon sextiles Mercury (good communications; clear up any confusion); a Moon-Pluto sextile gives you a sense of knowing what you need to do. Saturday afternoon's Moon-Venus square might have you feeling sorry for yourself and envying gorgeous cousins, but a Sun-Moon sextile that evening favors having a Taurus friend over for a chat or dinner.

Your Milky Way Horoscope April 25 - May 1, 2010

By Milky Way Maid

We are now solidly into Taurus, the sign of the Bull. Taureans share their sun sign with famous people like Martha Graham, Fred Astaire, Audrey Hepburn, Shirley Maclaine, Irving Berlin, and Margot Fonteyn. Ancient Egyptians believed that at the winter solstice, the sky goddess Nuit gave birth to a newborn calf, the Sun. The Sun emerged from where the starry stream splits into two, forming the Cygnus Rift; the sun appears on the horizon at dawn at approximately Nuit's feet. Furthering the correspondence between humans and cows, is the fact that they share the same gestation period of 272 days, and that is also about the period between the spring equinox and the winter solstice. Some have pointed out that a sketch of a human uterus, with fallopian tubes and all, somewhat resembles that of a bovine skull. A herding society would have been well aware of the similarities between humans and their main food supply, cattle. Is it any wonder that Nuit and Hathor are cow-mothers, with crescent moons for horns?

On Monday at 7:23 pm, retrograde Saturn opposes Uranus in Pisces. In the outer world, the collapse or breakup of a symbolic building or group, or massive protests/riots, may dominate headlines. In your personal world, you are apt to want to rebel (Uranus) against the authorities (Saturn) or against unjust rules, or just leave your responsibilities behind. What is the point, you ask, of going to work every day when the only ones who profit are the credit card companies and the bank? A lot of people are asking themselves the exact same question. Well then, try going to work for yourself instead; it could work out.

This transit should ease by the end of May, but return when Saturn (in forward motion) again opposes Uranus (retrograde) in late July. This could be a frustrating year for a lot of us, so please try to give others the benefit of the doubt if they seem in bad moods.

ARIES - March 20-April 19 - On Monday Uranus in your solar twelfth house opposes Saturn in your solar sixth house of health. You always feel the urge to strike out on your own anyway, but if you still repress any of your individuality, these unexpressed urges can strike back as health problems (often as heart problems). Make a point of getting back into an exercise regimen, because this helps work off frustrations and stresses, and Aries always feels better about himself when he is fit. Heck, take the whole family out for a hike. (PS- Uranus is going to enter your sign, and Saturn will re-enter opposing Libra, while Pluto squares both from Capricorn. This coming T-square will really force you to be your authentic self and also to deal with long-standing problems. Be awake for it.)

TAURUS - April 20-May 20 – On Monday Uranus in your solar eleventh house opposes Saturn in your solar fifth house of romance-gambles-children. You may be tempted to resign from a club or organization, but reconsider till after the month's end. It's unfortunate that this is in your house of romance, because the passing mood is that you do not want anyone restricting you in any way. Look, relationships involve mutual bonds and mutual obligations. They are voluntary, and you get to write the 'house rules' just about any way you want. As long as you both agree to observe them as long as they work, and to rewrite them when it seems needed, everything's hunky dory.

GEMINI - May 21-June 20 - On Monday Uranus in your solar tenth house opposes Saturn in your solar fourth house. These are heavy-duty planets in basic sectors of your life. It will be awfully tempting to walk out of a mortgage that has you under water, or from a job that is unfulfilling. But both are processes, rather than finished works, on the way to achieving your life goals. You might in fact be happier in a smaller home, or in your own business, but move toward these objectives in as balanced and ethical a manner as you can.

CANCER - June 21-July 22 - On Monday Uranus in your solar ninth house opposes Saturn in your solar third house. You may feel frustrations due to construction in your locality, possibly on the route to the college campus or to municipal offices. Also your car may be a source of problems, requiring repeated repairs, getting towed, or just eating oil. Get mechanical problems checked out promptly.

LEO - July 23-Aug. 22 - On Monday Uranus in your solar eighth house opposes Saturn in your solar second house of finances. This seems like it may be better than it sounds; a spouse's legacy from his or her parents may be a windfall (Uranus) to you both. However, be sure to pay any proper taxes due on it, and shelter it using the best financial advice you can find. There is also the chance that your share of medical bills, after the insurance pays its share, can be quite a burden (Saturn).

VIRGO - Aug. 23-Sept. 22 – The week begins with the Moon in Virgo till late afternoon. The Moon opposes Jupiter early, tempting you to overdo everything. Moderation is the motto for Virgo, so hold to that. The Moon opposes Uranus and conjoins Saturn in early afternoon, producing feelings of restriction and rebellion. You may feel like kicking over the traces, but try to find some modest change you can adopt, so that you are not locked in to a soul-killing routine. It can be as simple as a new route to work, doing something with your non-dominant hand, finding a new radio station, or turning off the TV.

LIBRA - Sept. 23-Oct. 22 – The Moon is in Libra from 4:16 pm Sunday till Tuesday evening. The Moon trines Venus in Gemini late Sunday afternoon; perhaps a trek to a college performance with a woman friend or daughter will cap your day. On Monday morning, events may alter your opinion of a Taurus coworker for the better. Tuesday afternoon is dreamy so either stick to your list of tasks, or write down your 'wish list' and tuck it in a drawer. The afternoon may also produce a tip on how to get more from your electronic gadgets.

SCORPIO - Oct. 23-Nov. 21 – The Moon is in Scorpio from 6:28 pm Tuesday till Thursday night. The Moon trines Chiron the healer this evening; schedule a session with a practitioner and you could gain new insights and real progress. Wednesday is Full Moon in Scorpio so set aside some time tonight to tune in to what is best for you to do this month. The Moon opposes a Sun-Mercury conjunction in Taurus; this favors a heart-to-heart chat with your life partner, who may be unusually talkative today. Lay your heart on the table that night and discuss your true needs.

SAGITTARIUS - Nov. 22-Dec. 21 – On Monday Uranus in your solar fourth house opposes Saturn in your solar tenth house of career; rebalance your career and home life in as ethical a manner as you can. The Moon is in Sag from 10:36 pm Thursday till next Sunday morn. The Moon opposes Venus Friday morning; get in touch emotionally with loved ones, even if you have to shout, “I love you, dammit!” Events of the day may alter your opinion of a Taurean. A Moon-Mars trine in the evening revs your energy levels; get out for a game of ball or a walk. A Moon-Jupiter square in early evening Saturday favors intellectual or philosophical interests; visit the library or chew the fat with similar friends over drinks.

CAPRICORN - Dec. 22-Jan. 19 - On Monday Uranus in your solar third house opposes Saturn in your solar ninth house. You may feel frustrations due to construction in your locality, possibly on the route to the college campus or to municipal offices. Also your car may be a source of problems, requiring repeated repairs, getting towed, or just eating oil. Get mechanical problems checked out promptly. If you get even the most routine legal notice or ticket, get proper advice on how best to resolve the matter.

AQUARIUS - Jan. 20-Feb. 17 - On Monday Uranus in your solar second house opposes Saturn in your solar eighth house.

PISCES - Feb. 18-March 19 - On Monday Uranus in your solar first house opposes Saturn in your solar seventh house. This points to a major shakeup in your self-image, public image and in marriage or other partnerships. Uranus in the first house just wants to be free of any encumbrances, which is unfortunate because some of the richest experiences involve giving rather than taking. Saturn in the seventh house makes your spouse seem like the biggest villain, making impossible demands and milking you dry. The truth may be somewhere in between. Maybe a timeout would be wise.

Your Milky Way Horoscope April 18-24, 2010

By Milky Way Maid

Mercury goes retrograde at 12:06 am Sunday, April 18. Now stop that whining and crying. You will finally have a chance to catch up on some reading and messaging. AND if you take a trip under Mercury retrograde, you can be sure that you will always come home at the end of it.

The Sun enters calm and creative Taurus on April 20 at 12:30 am. Time to think about spring, planting a garden and being grateful for living on this planet. Mercury in Taurus (which is at about 12 degrees, and went retrograde on April 18) sextiles Moon in Cancer the same morning; you find it easier to talk about your feelings. Remember, too, that you might make someone's day by being sympathetic. The Moon trines Jupiter at 21 degrees Pisces that night. It's a good day to reach out to others with a helping hand.

Venus in Taurus squares Neptune at 28 degrees Aquarius on Friday at 3:54 pm. This is such a dreamy and impractical aspect that it is difficult to use it in a positive manner. You may be in love with love, or delude yourself into believing the most preposterous flim-flam story. Relationships begun now often end unhappily over lies and deception, often of one's own making. However, those who are involved in the arts can reach levels of beauty and truth they never imagined before.

Venus sextiles Uranus the same night at 10:06 pm, at 28 degrees Pisces. This is another falling-in-love aspect, so be sure you are with someone that you want to get mixed up with! Venus then trines Saturn (28 degrees Virgo) at 3:44 am Saturday. Differences between you and your significant other can be calmly thrashed out if there is a sense of mutual respect.

Venus enters Gemini on Sunday, April 25 at 1:05 am. Twins will find they look even more youthful and vibrant even if they do not go to a salon. But go anyway, just to freshen and update your look. Geminis always like to look up-to-date!

ARIES - March 20-April 19 – Sun in Aries sextiles Neptune in Aquarius about 4 am Sunday. Active Arians might take to water sports, or take a group on a boat excursion. The Sun inconjunct Saturn on Monday morning could bring nitpicking over a lack of perfection in yours or others' work. Try to accept the process of achieving a goal as one of shaping it ever closer to the one in someone's mind's eye.

TAURUS - April 20-May 20 – See all the notes above about what your ruler Venus is up to this week. Boy, that girl gets around. Venus in solid Taurus clashes with Neptune in airy Aquarius on Friday afternoon; it's OK to build your romantic castle in the air, but put a solid foundation underneath of communication, shared values, and mutual respect. Also the Sun enters Taurus at 12:30 am Tuesday. Happy birthday to all the Venus-ruled people of this sign. On Tuesday evening, Mercury you might say translates light from Moon in Cancer to Jupiter in Pisces. You might schedule a presentation that evening, perhaps at a club meeting.

GEMINI - May 21-June 20 – The Moon is in Gemini at week's start, till Monday morn. The Moon squares Jupiter about 4 pm Sunday; it is far too easy to overdo anything, so take a reliable buddy along if shopping or dining to keep you on your budget and diet. You may feel frustrated during the morning commute on Monday; allow plenty of time to get to work. But you call in if caught in a traffic jam, and everything works out fine.

CANCER - June 21-July 22 – The Moon is in Cancer from 7:39 am Monday till midday Wednesday. The Moon opposes Pluto early evening on Monday; leading to frustration over control or the lack of it over your own life. Change what you can and make peace with the rest. The Moon sextiles Mercury in Taurus then trines Jupiter in Pisces in your solar ninth house. A grant or scholarship may come through for you so you can finish your degree.

LEO - July 23-Aug. 22 – The Moon is in Leo from 11:42 am Wednesday till Friday afternoon. On Wednesday, conflict brews in a Moon-Sun square; try not to be so stubborn, everyone! Inconjuncts from the Moon to Ceres and Pluto that night suggest that creativity on your part can increase your self-reliance. You may decide to go back to the land. Emotional intensity can get out of hand when the Moon is conjunct Mars early Thursday morn; you might work off some steam in exercise or artistic expression.

VIRGO - Aug. 23-Sept. 22 – The Moon is in Virgo from 2:24 pm Friday till Sunday April 25. A Grand Trine forms Friday as the Moon in Virgo in turn trines Sun in Taurus and Pluto in Capricorn; you can produce something of real interest and value to the public. A Taurus may be your national spokesperson, and a Capricorn your creative genius. Moon-Saturn in your sign provides discipline and structure for the beautiful Taurus who fronts your product.

LIBRA - Sept. 23-Oct. 22 – Venus enters Gemini, trining your Sun from the solar ninth house of law, publishing, and higher education. Perhaps a grant or scholarship comes through for you. Best day is probably Sunday afternoon when Moon in compatible Gemini squares Jupiter at a creative angle to your own Sun. You may enjoy artistic performances or explore your own creative potential. Moon in Leo on Thursday also stimulates creative juices, especially if you are with friends or in a club.

SCORPIO - Oct. 23-Nov. 21 – Sun enters your opposite sign, Taurus, at 12:30 am Tuesday. Be generous as your partner gets a moment in the spotlight. Just be the dedicated power behind the throne who makes it possible for your partner to achieve something. Best days are probably when Moon is in compatible Cancer Monday-Wed. The focus is on college, publishing or law matters; a trine to Uranus on Wednesday may bring an unexpected resolution in your favor. You may also enjoy a laugh-out-loud comedy or a foreign film.

SAGITTARIUS - Nov. 22-Dec. 21 – The Moon in compatible Leo Wed.-Fri. are probably your best days. The Moon-Mars conjunction early Thursday adds intensity to arguments in legal or publishing matters. Make sure your emotion does not outstrip the solid research into defending your position. Friday is a bit difficult with Moon in Leo squared by Venus and then Neptune in your solar sixth house of health and work. Be careful not to overdo sweets especially (Venus), since Neptune is prominent in case of diabetes. Learn some moderation, willya!

CAPRICORN - Dec. 22-Jan. 19 – The Sun enters compatible Taurus early Tuesday, activating your solar fifth house of fun, romance, enjoyment, and all that good stuff. It is time you started to enjoy life a bit! Look for coupons, you scrimper, for interesting local events and historical observances. Grand earth trines form on Friday and Saturday, which are likely your best days. Just be sure to keep checking that your feet are on the solid ground.

AQUARIUS - Jan. 20-Feb. 17 – Aquarians get trines from the Moon in Gemini Sun-Mon. in your solar fifth house of children and creativity. Communications can flow more easily, and you relate more easily to the themes of films and novels. You might prefer to see classics on Monday, due to the aspect to Saturn. Sun enters Taurus and squares your natal planets from the solar fourth house of home and family. You take refuge in your home, and may preside over family gatherings and group meetings. The Moon-Mars conjunction in opposing Leo on Thursday does not favor public appearances unless you are on the debate team.

PISCES - Feb. 18-March 19 – Best days may be when the Moon is in compatible Cancer Mon-Wed. Uranus in Pisces is trine the Moon on Wednesday morn. A issue involving your children or romances receives a sudden resolution. (Does this mean a surprise engagement announcement?) Venus in compatible Taurus on Friday and Saturday can bring lovely local excursions so talk a friend into going with you.

Your Milky Way Horoscope April 11-17, 2010

By Milky Way Maid

There's almost all Moon aspects this week, with almost none between any other planets. Hope this means a fairly quiet week for most of you, since I am pretty sure you can use the opportunity to catch up on routine stuff. Jupiter in Pisces trines Pallas in Scorpio Monday; victims may find an ombudsman-type (this includes lawyers but also social workers and spiritual advisors) to take up their case. Saturn inconjuncts Chiron in Aquarius all week; you may learn about an alternative healing therapy or begin an actual formal course of study of it. Sufferers of mystery ailments may find a local practitioner who sheds light on their condition; this may mean that you are forced to make some changes in your lifestyle but if you want to get better, follow through with it.

A New Moon at 24 degrees 27 minutes Aries occurs at 8:29 am Wednesday. Follow through on projects already begun, since Mercury is about to go retrograde and may undo any new stuff. This must be terribly frustrating for Aries, who is all about starting new things. The good thing about this Aries New Moon is that at least Saturn has backed away from pressuring the cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn). On the other hand, the mutable signs are asked to tie up any loose ends from when Saturn left Virgo last fall, and that repeats the message of Mercury retrograde to go back to 'edit' and backup any recent changes.
Placing a chart for Washington DC for this New Moon puts Neptune right at the top of the chart in the tenth house. This does not bode well for the president or for the nation's business affairs, although it strikes a hopeful and idealistic note in sympathy with (sextile) the Sun-Moon conjunction in the eleventh house. OK, it is good to be optimistic, but let us not deceive ourselves that everything is rosy.

Venus in Taurus sextiles Jupiter in Pisces late afternoon Saturday. In other words the lesser and greater benefics are really chummy this weekend; kittenish Venus cuddles up with her sugar daddy who spoils her rotten yet again. Bring on the champagne and cake.

Oh no, I hear you groan, Mercury goes retrograde again 12:06 am Sunday, April 18. It will be at 12 degrees 38 minutes of Taurus, closely trine the North Node and roughly square Mars in Leo. I am going to take my cue from the trine to the node, and hope to grow toward my better self. Perhaps some constructive debate can clear the air between you and loved ones (Mercury-Mars aspect). Let them explain themselves to improve understanding between you.

Ugh, I confess I really do not want to write the column this week. Maybe it is spring fever, or maybe I am just a lazy Taurus looking for any excuse. Excuse me if I am brief this week.

ARIES - March 20-April 19 – The Moon is in Aries from 9:31 am Monday till Wednesday evening. The Moon squares Pluto-Ceres in Capricorn, which hardly favors planting anything in your spring garden. You might work the ground, though, and add missing elements or correct the Ph. Moon trines mars in Leo Monday night; time for a spirited pickup game of ball. There are no Moon aspects on Tuesday, a very unusual sight. Hope this allows you to follow your own priorities and get lots done. A New Moon at 24 degrees Aries occurs at 8:29 am Wednesday, so please read notes above about that.

TAURUS - April 20-May 20 – The Moon is in Taurus from 6:55 pm Wednesday till early Saturday. Moon square Mars in Leo Thursday morning makes for stubborn efforts that keep having to be redone; best to hire a pro to do it right the first time. Moon conjunct Mercury in Taurus Thursday evening favors memorizing a speech or a musical number. Moon conjunct Venus Friday morning may weaken your diet resolve, as you splurge on an extra Danish at the coffee shop. A Moon-Jupiter sextile mid-morning Friday will tend to make you overdo a lot of things, but at least you are in a good mood meantime. A square to Neptune late am can make you fuzzy-headed, so double-check the specs on a job or in an email to make sure you understand the request. That night you prefer to listen to classical music to relax.

GEMINI - May 21-June 20 – The Moon is in Gemini from about 2 am Saturday thru the weekend. The Moon is inconjunct Pluto midday Saturday; you resolve to take back control over something small that has annoyed you no end. The Moon-Mars sextile Saturday afternoon favors getting physical; go for a jog or swim, or attend sporting events with glee. Your ruling planet Mercury goes retrograde on Sunday, April 18. You probably dislike going back to check your work because you normally are so quick to do it the first time, but even if you do not find errors, you can benefit from seeing trends or spots where you are paying too much for a service.

CANCER - June 21-July 22 – The New Moon is in your solar tenth house of career, so I would expect some hopeful news regarding the work situation for the summer -- that is, if you already have a job. If you are looking for work, this can be a time to check for openings at places that you have already applied, since they may have related positions opening up. Best days this week have Moon in compatible Taurus on Thurs-Fri. Enjoy a chat with a sympathetic friend Thursday afternoon. Have brunch with a lovely woman friend Friday.

LEO - July 23-Aug. 22 – The New Moon in Aries trines Leo from the solar ninth house. Tie up classes and get your term papers done with, because the sooner you can get the work done, the earlier you can land your dream job. Alternatively, you may have legal or publishing matters to finish up. Hope you can get those things finalized before Mercury goes retrograde on the eighteenth and unravels everything. Best day this week is Wednesday when a Moon-Neptune sextile adds a touch of glamor to everything.

VIRGO - Aug. 23-Sept. 22 – Venus in compatible Taurus sextiles Jupiter in your opposite sign Pisces; you might enjoy attending a book reading or lecture with your S.O. Your ruling planet Mercury goes retrograde on Sunday, April 18. You probably dislike going back to check your work because you normally are so quick to do it the first time, but even if you do not find errors, you can benefit from seeing trends or spots where you are paying too much for a service. Best days this week have the Moon in compatible Taurus Thurs-Fri.

LIBRA - Sept. 23-Oct. 22 – The New Moon is in your solar seventh house of partners. You may find that an ongoing relationship becomes more solid, and perhaps more formalized (ie an engagement etc.). Best days this week are April 17-18 when the Moon is in compatible Gemini. The Moon-Mars sextile Saturday gives you a wonderful surge of energy for both work and fun.

SCORPIO - Oct. 23-Nov. 21 – The New Moon is in your solar sixth house of health and work. You might make a point of finishing medical or dental procedures so that they are out of the way before Mercury goes retrograde. Also double-check clerical or licensing matters and deadlines. Have you brought your pet's licenses and shots up to date?

SAGITTARIUS - Nov. 22-Dec. 21 – The New Moon in Aries trines you from your solar fifth house. This New Moon puts the accent on fun, your favorite subject. Yet you must proceed with caution and stick to venues and sports that you are familiar with -- not the time to experiment with a new sport or a new stock play. And if you have an ongoing romance that you thought was a bit ho-hum, it might really heat up this spring. Best days this week: Sunday and Tuesday. Jupiter squares your sign from the fourth house. You may enjoy playing host to friends or international visitors on Sunday. Tuesday has the Moon in compatible Aries but no aspects to trip you up.

CAPRICORN - Dec. 22-Jan. 19 – The New Moon in Aries squares your Sun from your solar fourth house. This puts the accent on home and family. Perhaps you have an ongoing renovation project that finally culminates with an open house, or you complete a transition to a new home. Adding the fire element can really enhance your enjoyment of home, whether it is a simple outdoor grill, or a fireplace in the family room. Best day this week is Thursday, when Moon and Mercury are in compatible Taurus, and trine Pluto in your sign. You can really penetrate mysteries or do a lot of good research that day. Since Taurus is your solar fifth house, you can have a frank chat with your romantic partner on your future.

AQUARIUS - Jan. 20-Feb. 17 – The New Moon in Aries is in your solar third house of communications. Tie up contracts and negotiations. Finish any trips, whether business or personal, before Mercury goes retrograde on the eighteenth. The Moon-Venus conjunction in Taurus on Friday is in your solar fourth house; perk up your home with springlike curtains and colors. You might also have a young guest in your home for dinner. Saturn's awkward aspect to Chiron in your sign on Monday can indicate changes to your insurance coverage or health plan. Perhaps you would do better under a group plan with an affiliation rather than with an employer.

PISCES - Feb. 18-March 19 – The Moon is in Pisces as the week begins till Monday morn. The Moon is conjunct Jupiter midday Sunday. Perhaps you find a church sermon uplifting, or perhaps you find a sense of peace in nature, music or philosophy. On Monday morning, the Moon first joins Uranus then opposes Saturn in Virgo. Something may upset you emotionally, enough to make you want to kick over the traces and escape the rat race. Maybe if you found a smoother commute route, one that allowed you to observe the signs of spring, you'd arrive at work in a much better frame of mind.
