Your Milky Way Horoscope Sept. 25-Oct. 1, 2011

By Milky Way Maid

Sun in Libra opposes retrograde Uranus at 2 degrees of Aries
at 8:15 pm Sunday. This is the “Born To Be Wild” aspect. Now, if you are driving that might not be a good thing if you ignore a stop light and plow into another car, so heads up on that. Pay attention to inner needs that come to light now, urges that you have suppressed so you could make brownie points. You may find some way of giving them an outlet, but it will take time to find it. Going from “Rebel Without A Cause” to one WITH a cause is the goal. Dying your hair purple may be amusing, but taking up a fight against some City Hall silliness brings longer-lasting satisfaction.

Mercury joins the other inner planets in the sign of Libra
at 5:09 pm Sunday. (This is followed by the Mercury opposition to Uranus at 2:30 am Tuesday.) Mercury in Libra can be too afraid to say what is really on his/her mind, for fear of losing acceptance. A strong Mercury expression would be communicating what people NEED to hear (rather than what they WANT to hear) – which better serves your ideals of truth, justice and balance. You can still sugar-coat hard messages with diplomacy, my dear.

A New Moon occurs at 4 degrees exactly of Libra at 7:09 am Tuesday. (We had the Libra ingress aka Fall Equinox on Sept. 23.) Moon and Mercury oppose Uranus, with the Moon conjoining Venus overnight. Moon-Mercury opposite Uranus could bring shocking news, one that truly alarms the public (Moon). Venus recalls us to our core values, and helps us to comfort one another. It might also cause a rush to pull cash out of banks or other accounts like the stock market.

Mercury in Libra squares Pluto at almost 5 degrees Capricorn at 10:26 am Wednesday. Pluto aspects often are related to taking control of some area of our lives, or with the Moon, wishing we had control of that area of our lives. Mercury-Pluto aspects, I suspect, respond to using affirmations or possibly self-hypnosis as an aid to regaining control of an area of our life, a habit that we'd like to break, or in voicing our concerns and thoughts to others so that they willingly change the way they treat you.

The Sun is conjunct Mercury later the same day (4:16 pm), at 5 degrees Libra. Generally a good day for finding things when shopping. Your mind is usually functioning at a high level, comparing facts and figures quickly and making fast decisions on what is a good deal or not. This is especially true when they are in discriminating Virgo, who is great at the purely clerical side of getting quotes and comparing numbers and getting paperwork done (with all the t's and i's properly crossed/dotted).

Mercury in Libra sextiles Mars at 6 degrees Leo at 10:12 am Thursday, followed by the Sun sextile Mars overnight. This is favorable for eye-hand coordination, whether in crafts, sports, working with heat/fire, or whatever. Debate should be even-handed and fair (Libra), tho Leo tends to believe that everything he believes is of course unalterably true.

Venus is conjunct Saturn at 18 degrees Libra at 7:48 pm Thursday. Saturn prefers to earn the money (Venus) that he gets – and it will be only as much as you need to get by, probably not too much more than that. Ambitious Saturn receives the benefit of Venus who softens the edges and helps you gain the favors of those who make hiring decisions, for example. If this transit contacts natal Venus or Saturn, there may be a separation in a relationship, or you may decide to “make it official” and announce an engagement.

The Venus-Saturn conjunction Thursday also contacts your third house of education and messages; you may enroll in a course of study related to Venus-ruled subjects, such as art, baking, candy-making, leather-working, crafts, furniture-making or cabinetry, jewelry-making, and of course music.

VIRGO - Aug. 23-Sept. 22 – The Moon is in Virgo from 12:49 am Sunday till the wee hours Tuesday. The Moon trines Pluto at 8:49 am Sunday; pull out an affirmation and start working on changing the things that you can. LIBRA - Sept. 23-Oct. 22 – Sunday night's Sun-Uranus opposition brings out the inner rebel in you; don't toss out mate without a great deal of thought. The Moon is in Libra from 12:51 am Tuesday till late Wednesday. Your mate could have shocking news, or you find out something about him that knocks you for a loop. By Wednesday pm you may be better able to talk things out. The Mercury-Pluto square today means you will just have to accept what the Boss at home decides. On Thursday you are able to debate someone and marshal the facts at will. Thursday also favors taking a hard look at finances and cutting out all extraneous items (Venus-Saturn conjunction).

SCORPIO - Oct. 23-Nov. 21 – The Moon is in Scorpio from 12:05 am Thursday till early Saturday. Thursday poses mid-morning frustrations, when you're wise to back off and re-read the instructions. Over-emotionalism may prevail that afternoon; try not to blow things out of proportion. Talking to a counselor (or lawyer) Friday afternoon may bring a new perspective. Cocooning with a bunch of DVDs Friday night beckons. The Venus-Saturn conjunction Thursday also contacts your twelfth house of hospitals or retreats; you may decide to attend a spiritual or other retreat.

SAGITTARIUS - Nov. 22-Dec. 21 – The New Moon in Libra affects your solar eleventh house; you may learn shocking things about a friend or even about a club that you belong to. The Moon is in Sag from 12:42 am Saturday thru the weekend. You enjoy time spent with a child or beau Saturday morn, possibly watching the cartoons but at any rate laughing yourselves silly. The afternoon calls for some physical activity, possibly rooting for a college team, with a friend in tow. The early evening favors chatting with friends either in person or online. CAPRICORN - Dec. 22-Jan. 19 - The New Moon in Libra affects your solar tenth house; a family member, or even your employer, may have a startling announcement. This may be related to politics, college education, law, religion, or publishing issues. The Venus-Saturn conjunction Thursday also contacts your ninth house, where a legal judgment may only cover expenses.

PISCES - Feb. 18-March 19 - The New Moon in Libra affects your solar eighth house; surprises may be in store regarding joint accounts or pooled funds. Creative projects are favored Thursday under the helpful Mercury-Mars sextile, beneficial for crafts and any eye-hand coordination. The Venus-Saturn conjunction Thursday also contacts your eighth house of insurance and estates; if receiving a bequest, it may come through but be smaller than expected, and if dealing with an insurer, they may cover a lesser service.
