Moon Void of Course List for the Rest of 2012

Supposedly William Lilly wrote about the Void-of-course moon in the 1600s in his book “Christian Astrology”, but for some reason astrologers stopped talking about it and it became a lost secret. Revived by Al Morrison centuries later in a lengthy campaign that more resembled a siege, it finally regained a measure of its former glory.

People wrote in to Mr. Morrison with their experiences using the moon sheets provided by Morrison. Supposedly a banker used it to decide whether to grant loans or not; he refused to grant loans if they asked during a void-of-course moon. He asked for more information from the applicants. And supposedly that banker became a vice-president of the bank because of his sterling loan management success. We will never know if he would have become vice-president anyway without the moon charts, but those are the breaks in the astrology biz.

So anyway the advice is to avoid decision-making during a void-of-course moon. This includes shopping for appliances or special clothing. You can shop for routine items such as your grocery items. I mean, you can't very well take a long siesta on every void-of-course moon, now can you?

People born under the void-of-course moon are a mixed lot. Jimmy Carter's nomination came under a void-of-course moon, yet he won anyway. Barack Obama's nomination came under a void-of-course moon, and he won. Will he be a one-termer like Mr. Carter? We don't know.

I started a job on a void-of-course moon – I stayed 6 years and left of my own volition. And I have read that some people born on a void-of-course moon can be quite self-determined. Their numbers include Winston Churchill, Shirley Temple, Judy Garland, Rod Stewart, Patti Smith, Christopher Columbus, Pope John Paul II, Princess Diana, OJ Simpson, Hillary Rodham Clinton.

You can find these moon charts online at www.debbikemptonsmith.com/original%20void_of_course_moon_sheet.htm
So I give you a void-of-course Moon Chart below for the rest of the year. All times are given in Eastern Time, so adjust accordingly.

I don't know about Carter (I didn't know about VOC moon periods then), but you are incorrect re. the timing of Obama's 2008 nomination. He normally would have been nominated during a void, but Hilary Clinton interrupted the roll call at 6:48 ET on August 27, 2008 and moved that Obama be unanimously nominated. This was several hours before the moon went void later that evening shortly after 8pm (all times Eastern). You can see it yourself with the time stamps here:

(Well, not several hours. I remembered it as being around 5pm, listening to C-span at the time, but according to the You Tube it was an hour later.)

Thank you, Leigh Scar for that tidbit. I did not watch that nomination live so I did not realize that Hillary had interrupted the normal course of events. THANKS!!
