Your Milky Way Horoscope May 25-31, 2014
By
Milky Way Maid
Dear
Readers-- Please visit the website of the National Blood Clot
Alliance at StopTheClot.org to learn more about blood clots and when
you might need to see a doctor about it.
Mercury at 29 Gemini
sextiles Venus in Aries at 9:58 am Wednesday. This is followed by a
New Moon at 7 degrees 21' Gemini at 2:40 pm. Ooh,
late degree of Aries and Gemini favors starting writing a book –
any kind of book, a novel or cookbook or biography, just anything. Or
if you really are not inclined to do any writing, you might take a
very pleasant drive out to the countryside to see lovely signs of
spring. You need to recharge your Beauty quota with scenic mountains
or beach or fields. If it contacts native planets, you may find it
easier to express your affection for dear ones. The Gemini New Moon
will reinforce themes of communication (keeping things light,
cocktail party chatter) as well as transit or travel. You may have to
do more traveling for work, for example.
The Sun at 7 degrees
Gemini squares Neptune in Pisces at 7:44 pm Wednesday. Any
planet in combination with Neptune brings the risk of fraud or
deception, but with the Sun there could indicate SELF-deception. You
might be only fooling yourself if you minimize warning signs of
trouble. Best to be proactive and check things out. Also a good
chance of getting lost if you out looking for an address without good
directions on how to get there.
Venus enters its home
sign of Taurus at 9:46 pm Wednesday.
Venus in Taurus likes to touch things. She likes the feel of silk,
velour, polished stones or woods, and your nice peach-fuzzy face.
Likes to smell the roses, too, or a bar of lavender soap, or any of
zillions of small luxuries. Needs to learn to share material
possessions, maybe loan out that garden tool or a book or two. Some
people feel that there is no such thing as platonic love where a
Venus Taurus is involved, but I am not so sure about that. Venus in
Taurus is pretty conventional, preferring to marry rather than live
with someone or play the field, although in later life they might
feel that such rules don't matter anymore. They want to fall in love
and know that it will last forever. Has artistic sensitivities, and
may be a musician, artist, or a mere collector of pretty things.
FAMOUS PEOPLE with Venus in Taurus include:
Doris Day, Charlie Chaplin, Richard Wagner, Bobby Darin, Ann-Margret,
Paul McCartney, Hayley Mills, and Prince Edward.
Mercury enters Cancer
at 5:12 am Thursday. Mercury
(or the Moon) in Cancer has a prodigious memory, especially memories
that are emotionally loaded. If well aspected, they are often great
ones for knowing historical facts and dates. Sometimes their rational
mind can be overwhelmed by emotional thoughts, so that their
communication with other is at times filled with an emotional content
that is not appropriate to the situation. Is capable of great
emotional sensitivity and empathy, and can reach out to others in a
caring way. Can be remarkably intuitive, of knowing something without
knowing HOW they know it. Usually prefers to make decisions based on
precedent rather than on daring innovations. Sometimes collects
antiques or historical relics. FAMOUS PEOPLE with Mercury
in Cancer include: actress
Leslie Caron, Nelson and David Rockefeller, composer Igor Stravinsky,
educator Thomas Mann, pianist Van Cliburn, singer-composer Paul Anka,
Mary McCarthy.

Readers
can follow not only their Sun sign horoscope but also their Ascendant
for further clues to how your week will develop. NOTE: some aspects
are exact on a weekend but may find opportunity for expression on the
Friday or Monday nearest the exact aspect. Times given are in Eastern
Standard or Eastern Daylight Savings Time depending on the season.
ARIES
- March 20-April 19 – The Moon is in Aries as the week
begins but only till Sunday evening. You may get someone to do you a
favor Sunday morning about 10 am, possibly trading favors such as
babysitting. The Moon is void all of Sunday afternoon so just stick
to routine matters. Venus' entry Wednesday into your solar second
house may bring some extra cold hard cash, particularly if you are
selling items of decorative or artistic qualities. Also Wednesday's
Mercury-Venus sextile touches your solar third house, so get going on
that novel if you are ever going to write anything!
TAURUS
- April 20-May 20 – The Moon is in Taurus from 5:28 pm
Sunday till the wee hours Wednesday. No aspects Sunday but the
Memorial Day holiday has a Moon-Neptune sextile, favoring spending
time doing lots of nothing with friends. You are in control of
emotional situations Monday pm. The Moon is void after 5 am Tuesday,
so stick to routine matters only. Venus' entry into your sign late
Wednesday may bring as many gifts or favors as your birthday did!
Mercury enters your solar third house on Thursday; the phone may ring
off the hook this month with people who want to cry onto your
shoulder (sob stories and that kind of thing).
GEMINI
- May 21-June 20 – The Moon is in Gemini from 12:48 am
Wednesday till Friday morning. Take advantage of the Wednesday
morning coffee break to start a new file for the novel you aim to
write. The New Moon that afternoon will help reinforce that
resolution, just be sure to apply lots of imagination to your fantasy
tale; just take not to deceive yourself about a new, pie-in-the-sky
career. Your energy is pretty good that afternoon for fun, romance or
sports. The Moon is void all day Thursday so stick to routine
matters. Your energy should be sky high Saturday morn.
CANCER
- June 21-July 22 – The Moon is in Cancer from 10:13 am
Friday through the weekend. With both Moon and Mercury entering, you
should feel a burst of cardinal energy about mid-morning Friday! Your
speech may be a bit too emotionally loaded midday Friday, so watch
for that. The afternoon favors spending time with a dear relative or
neighbor. Be careful to get tasks off on the right foot Saturday
morn. You may run into obstacles you cannot fight midday; just accept
things you cannot change with grace. Mercury enters your sign
Thursday; watch out for revealing Too Much Information.
LEO
- July 23-Aug. 22 – Sunday morning from about 9:30 to
noonish may be your best day of the week; you get plenty of offers of
help from dear friends. Venus' entry into your solar tenth house may
bring some perks to help you enjoy the career you have chosen.
Mercury enters your solar twelfth house Thursday; you may damage
relationships with inserting too much emotionally-charged speech into
places where it does not belong.
VIRGO
- Aug. 23-Sept. 22 – Best day of the week may be Monday with
the Moon in compatible Taurus; the coffee tastes so great in the
morning, and you get sound advice from a mentor about 5:30 pm ET.
Venus' entry Wednesday into your solar ninth house may bring some
good news re legal financial settlements, college grants, travel,
etc. Mercury enters your solar eleventh house, bringing friends who
want you to feel sorry for them. Friday from mid-morning to
mid-afternoon is also pleasant with helpful suggestions from caring
people.
LIBRA
- Sept. 23-Oct. 22 - Venus' entry Wednesday into your solar
eighth house may bring incentives from your insurance carrier to have
health screenings done. Wednesday's New Moon also accents law,
college, publishing and long trips. Mercury enters your solar tenth
house, where emotion may not be welcome unless you channel it into
making customers feel like the company cares about them. Trying to
get an early start Saturday and rushing will only make for more work
later when you have to redo everything.
SCORPIO
- Oct. 23-Nov. 21 - Venus' entry Wednesday into your solar
seventh house may bring a charming Significant Other into your life.
Mercury enters your solar ninth house; you apply for licenses,
titles, or other legal papers. Wednesday night is very unfavorable
for dates; the charming young man or lady is not all he/she claims to
be. Friday may be your best day, with the Moon in compatible Cancer
and lovely Mercury-Venus whispering sweet nothings from mid-morning
to mid-afternoon.
SAGITTARIUS
- Nov. 22-Dec. 21 - One of your sweet, charming children
offers to trade favors with you Sunday morning. Venus' entry
Wednesday into your solar sixth house may bring good news on the
health front, and possibly a dear friend among your coworkers. Angles
to Neptune in your solar fourth house make for a chaotic home life
Wednesday night. Mercury enters your solar eighth house; you compare
different insurance or investments plans. Your significant other is
just a bundle of energy Saturday morning.
CAPRICORN
- Dec. 22-Jan. 19 – Monday favors pipe dreams and laziness
at the beach. Tuesday may force you to make a detour on the morning
commute, but early arrival at the office is greeted with good
fortune. Venus' entry Wednesday into your solar fifth house favors
romance and children who are sweet to you. Mercury enters your solar
seventh house, where your life partner wants to talk more about how
you two feel about each other.
AQUARIUS
- Jan. 20-Feb. 17 -Sunday morning you may offer to do a favor
for a dear relative or neighbor. Venus' entry Wednesday into your
solar fourth house may bring a female house guest, or you may wish to
beautify the home with fresh paint and décor. Mercury enters your
solar sixth house, bringing more medical appointments for screenings
or cleanings. Also Wednesday's Mercury-Venus sextile touches your
solar third house, so get going on that novel if you are ever going
to write anything!
PISCES
- Feb. 18-March 19 - Venus' entry Wednesday into your solar
third house may bring love letters and charming neighbors. Also on
Wednesday, try not to promise more than you can possibly deliver.
Mercury enters your solar fifth house; possibly your kids invite
their little friends over to the house for parties or sleepovers. The
Moon in Cancer gets in on the Mercury-Venus act on Friday; you cannot
help but feel something when your honey whispers the sweet nothings
in your ear.

Your Milky Way Horoscope Nov. 24-30, 2013
By
Milky Way Maid
The
Sun at 2 degrees Sag is square Neptune in Pisces at 12:53 pm Sunday.
Ooh, Sun and Neptune together are not good. You might get lost when
driving somewhere, and that is the least innocuous thing that could
happen. Other possibilities include being scammed, getting sick with
something that is hard to diagnose or pinpoint the cause of, or you
could have your deep, dark secret revealed to the world in a most
embarrassing way. Sun is also square Pallas in Virgo.
Mercury
(direct this time) at 16 degrees Scorpio is conjunct Saturn at 8:55
pm Monday.
When we last saw this aspect on Oct. 29, Mercury was retrograde. So
try to recall if there were any serious discussions that day, and
what the topic was. You may have more information to go on at this
point, and can undoubtedly correct the data and move forward with a
better plan. They are square Juno at 15 degrees Aquarius, so one
partner may fluctuate between detachment and intensity, and just when
things start heating up, one is called in to a work emergency.
Arrgghh!! Will have to figure out a way to accommodate each other's
schedules, possibly with the aid of a personal assistant.
Mercury
at 18 degrees Scorpio is sextile Venus in Capricorn at 9:45 pm
Wednesday.
Mercury in positive aspect to Venus turns on the charm, which
includes perfect manners, compliments, sweet nothings, possibly a
love note or two, etc. Even if you are normally unexpressive, you
will be able to stammer out those three little words. You may be able
to get a good recipe for a sweet treat, shared by a dear friend. You
may take a short trip with a loved one, possibly to enjoy scenic
views, or to check out early holiday decorations. Take a camera
along, because the scenery may offer a memorable moment.
Mercury
at 19 degrees Scorpio trines Jupiter in Cancer at 2:24 am Thursday.
Mercury and Jove are both mental planets, so positive aspects favor
anything related to education, any course of study or a seminar or
private study. You will pick up the material very easily. On another
level, the two planets together spell joviality, having the gift of
gab, so that you successfully schmooze with the boss for example at
the company dinner. You are also optimistic that things will work out
in your life in general. You can handle even the most difficult
problems with style. Buying or selling real estate or other major
investments is favored, as is handling any legal matters.
Venus
at 19 degrees Capricorn opposes Jupiter in Cancer at 7:01 am
Thursday.
In some ways this can be a sad aspect, even though the two major
benefics are involved. You may be in love with someone who is far
beyond your social class or otherwise unreachable, and that is truly
tragic if you both decide to let love die rather than try to make it
work. One can start new relationships under this transit, or look
deeper under the superficial shell of the loved one. Can be a
pleasant day if you avoid overdoing guilty pleasures to the point of
getting sick.
The
Moon is in Libra on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day.
We will ooh and aah at especially artistic floats in the morning
parades, and later at the beautifully set table for the holiday
feast. Use your best dishes and napkins to set the table, and pick up
some flowers for a centerpiece. With Vesta and Ceres both in lovely
Libra for the holiday, her feast is sure to be spectacular.
The
Sun at 8 degrees Sag trines Uranus in Aries at 1:25 pm Saturday.
Sun-Uranus aspects put the wind in your hair as you blast yourself
out of a rut. You get encouragement or approval for your (possibly
quirky) uniqueness, or you may make others laugh when making them see
things from a different perspective. Be careful though, because the
Sun is square Chiron in Pisces; don't fall off your motorcycle! You
are excited and excitable, dancing around your new toy or exploring
new terrain. Possible interest in arcane subjects like astrology,
computer and other tech stuff, psychology, hypnotism, or signing up
for a class or session with a practitioner.

Readers
can follow not only their Sun sign horoscope but also their Ascendant
for further clues to how your week will develop. NOTE: some aspects
are exact on a weekend but may find opportunity for expression on the
Friday or Monday nearest the exact aspect. Times given are in Eastern
Standard or Eastern Daylight Savings Time depending on the season.
ARIES
- March 20-April 19 – You get away with all kinds of
shenanigans on Sunday. Early risers on Thursday have helpers to put
on a special holiday breakfast; this is followed by making wisecracks
about all the floats on the televised parades. Friday shopping is
frustrating and work is pointless because you cannot get hold of
anybody. On Saturday you crack everybody up, possibly by putting a
funny video clip on the internet.
TAURUS
- April 20-May 20 – Your mate may want to have a serious
chat Monday night, so lend a sympathetic ear even though it may be
confusing when he shifts from cool logic to rampant emotion and back
again. You might elect to have your holiday dinner on Tuesday; the
Moon is in compatible Virgo, and in nice aspect to both Venus and
Jupiter. Thursday is not bad, but the table may be so pretty that you
hate to dig in and break up the picture-perfect image. Let your mate
sleep in on Saturday.
GEMINI
- May 21-June 20 – You have a rather idealistic picture of
the perfect holiday that you want to achieve for Thursday, but give
yourself a break if it falls short a bit. At any rate, you will put
in a lot of effort on Tuesday to spruce up the house and decorate. A
rather serious meeting may be held at work either late Monday or
early Tuesday. The holiday itself has the Moon in compatible Libra,
so you keep the flow of light-hearted chatter going very easily.
CANCER
- June 21-July 22 –
Sunday's preliminary seating chart for the holiday will have to be
redone more than once. You may get stressed out by too many errands
Monday; take a tip from Santa and make your list, check it twice.
Tuesday favors showering the object of your desire with flowers,
compliments and love notes. Stick to routine matters on Friday.
You may have a Saturday session with a practitioner of hypnotism,
Geo-Trans, or other system that blasts you out of your rut.
LEO
- July 23-Aug. 22 – The Moon is in Leo on Sunday, but is
void-of-course all day; stick to routine matters. On Monday your mate
addresses serious matters, which is good, but the cold logic used can
be unbearable. On Tuesday you may be prevailed upon to share your
secret recipe for a beloved holiday treat. Thursday is definitely a
day to practice pushing yourself away from the table, lest you overdo
to the point of getting sick. You laugh with pleasure Saturday when
one of the kids posts a funny clip online.
VIRGO
- Aug. 23-Sept. 22 – The Moon is in Virgo from 7:11 am
Monday till Wednesday afternoon. Be careful what you eat at lunch
Monday, lest you set off your allergies. You feel so unappreciated
that afternoon. Love notes and compliments fill the air on Tuesday.
Offers to help (with the Turkey Day duties?) come in Tuesday night.
You may have to make another place at the table in return, tho.
Pallas has entered Virgo, so you are probably the Ask-the-Expert that
everyone calls for details on the correct way to prepare the turkey.
LIBRA
- Sept. 23-Oct. 22 – The Moon is in Libra from 5:00 pm
Wednesday till late Friday. Wednesday morning finds you energized and
ready to start preparations for the big day. An agent of change may
walk into your life Thursday, but don't be alarmed. With Vesta and
Ceres both in your sign for the holiday, your feast is sure to be
spectacular. Friday is spent ruing how you fell off your diet.
SCORPIO
- Oct. 23-Nov. 21 –
Thursday finds you in an optimistic mood, also eager to learn all
there is to know about arcane subjects. The Moon is in Scorpio
from 11:03 pm Friday thru the weekend. On Saturday someone may give
you a good tip regarding a lucrative job opening; maybe you can sign
on as last-minute holiday help. You enjoy doing puzzles or reading a
mystery in the afternoon.
SAGITTARIUS
- Nov. 22-Dec. 21 – On
Monday and Tuesday the Moon is in compatible Gemini, when you
probably contact everyone who is expected to attend the holiday
gathering to coordinate travel and schedules. The second half of the
week may find you spending as much time with friends as with
relatives; perhaps there are too many miles between you and siblings
this year. Stick to routine matters on Friday. A child makes
you break up laughing on Saturday.
CAPRICORN
- Dec. 22-Jan. 19 – You are too likely to get hopelessly
lost on Sunday, so leave the driving to someone who has been at your
destination many times. Tuesday is probably your best day of the
week, with the Moon in compatible Virgo and many lovely, easy
transits involving friends and your beloved mate. Thursday is sure to
be a day of hustle and bustle to get the feast ready and wait on your
visitors. Friday can be frustrating and it may be better to stay in
rather than shop.
AQUARIUS
- Jan. 20-Feb. 17 – Long-distance calls keep your phone busy
the second half of the week. The holiday favors schmoozing with the
boss, at least by making an unofficial phone call to wish him a
lovely feast. Thursday is definitely a day to practice pushing
yourself away from the table, lest you overdo to the point of getting
sick. Saturday's Moon in Scorpio favors shopping with the help of a
friend who makes it a fun expedition.
PISCES
- Feb. 18-March 19 – On Sunday, you are an example of
someone who does not see himself clearly, and so your ambitions could
be totally unrealistic. Monday is good for facing medical test
results with a cool head. Thursday may not be lucky for romantic
matters. Chiron goes direct in your sign this weekend, so do be aware
of safety issues re handling the stuffing of your bird, and in
storing leftovers.

Your Milky Way Horoscope May 26-June 1, 2013
By
Milky Way Maid
The Sun at 5 degrees
Gemini squares Neptune in Pisces at 6:27 am Sunday.
This is such a problematic aspect because we fool (Neptune) ourselves
(Sun) into thinking the situation is better or at least different
than it really is. Hold off on any decisions until you have bounced
your ideas off your fave sounding board. This aspect sometimes brings
something we've denied out into the public eye. The Moon is also void
for most of the day so adds to the futility of trying to start
anything new. Stick to routine chores.
Mercury at 23 degrees
Gemini is conjunct Jupiter at 3:56 am Monday.
Mercury in good aspect to Jupiter is excellent for academic studies,
although the conjunction could make your ideas or mental processes
too fast to pin down. You may need a notebook or Dictaphone to
capture your thought for later analysis. Also good for all hand-eye
coordination whether in sports, art or crafts.
The major and minor
benefics, Jupiter and Venus, are conjunct at 23 degrees Gemini at
3:29 pm Tuesday. (Mercury is
only a half-step ahead of them.) One thing to watch out for is
over-indulgence in food, and in sweets especially. You can really
give yourself the mother of all belly aches with this aspect.
Mercury enters Cancer
at 3:07 am Friday. Everybody
seems to love Cancerians but Mercury here does have a downside (in
immature natives) and that is that they can continually appeal to
others' sympathies in a way that expects indulgence. Mature
Cancerians reach out to others with their intuitive emotional
antennae (their silent communicators), and readily show they
sympathize and care. Theirs is the warm shoulder to cry on, and the
ever-ready cuppa tea, and the sage advice. They will not endlessly
hold your hand, but they will soothe you until you can go out the
door and face the world again.
Mercury
in Cancer is good for scholars,
historians, antique dealers, and lawyers who rely mostly on legal
precedent. Famous people with Mercury in Cancer include: Nelson and
David Rockefeller, pianist Van Cliburn, Igor Stravinsky, and educator
Thomas Mann.
Mars enters Gemini at
6:39 am Friday. This Gemini is
able to use words as a weapon, either in formal or informal debate,
in politics, or academia, and the goal is to show that he has the
sharpest and fastest mind. Reminds me of Cyrano de Bergerac, who
created a rhyme as he dueled with his sword – demonstrating that
his wit was as rapier-sharp as his sword, indeed. However in real
life someone with this approach can win his battles but lose the war,
as modern folks are less admiring of cleverness when it is so
aggressive. A positive side to this placement is a real eagerness to
learn. You may find lifelong students here.
Mars
in Gemini can use words as a
call to action, even tho the native may not be very active or
athletic. Examples of that include Franklin Delano Roosevelt and
Martin Luther King, Jr. Other famous people with this placement
include: comedienne Phyllis Diller, Prince Philip, author Ernest
Hemingway, Barbra Streisand, author Virginia Woolf, dictator Benito
Mussolini, and painter Marc Chagall.
The Sun at 11 degrees
Gemini sextiles Uranus in Aries at 9:46 pm Saturday.
Sun-Uranus aspects almost always bring unusual people or foreigners
into our lives in some way. We sit next to some very interesting
people at a dinner or play, the company brings in a consultant who
was born in another country and has the most fascinating accent, etc.
We are exposed to those who live or think or talk very differently
from ourselves, and that can be a real mind-opener.

advance. Thursday can be a power day for air signs; do some

solar tenth house; you may chair meetings or make the Power Points.
Mars enters your solar ninth house; this is the most eager Mars to
