Your Milky Way Horoscope April 20-26, 2014
By
Milky Way Maid
Dear
Readers-- Please visit the website of the National Blood Clot
Alliance at StopTheClot.org to learn more about blood clots and when
you might need to see a doctor about it.
Happy Easter,
everybody! Hope the Easter Bunny hopped over to your house and left
you lots of nice things.
The Grand Square
tightens this week. Jupiter in Cancer squares Uranus and opposes
Pluto on Sunday. Uranus in Aries squares Pluto on Monday. Mars in
Libra squares Jupiter on Tuesday. Mars opposes Uranus and squares
Pluto on Wednesday. All of
these occur on 13 degrees of the cardinal signs, a critical degree
and a world degree. It would not surprise me if the Russia-Ukraine
issue breaks wide open. It would not surprise me if the giant El Nino
forming these last several weeks sets off a deluge and mudslides in
California. Anything can happen, and natives of the cardinal signs
Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn will all feel the effect the most.
Mercury enters Taurus
at 5:16 am Wednesday. Mercury
in Taurus can be amazingly plodding and literal-minded. They are not
bad students but they may need time to turn ideas around in their
heads before the light goes on; sometimes they are better students
when they can try things hands-on rather than just reading words on a
page. But once they have learned something, they know in backwards
and forwards and inside out. Is most interested in tangible results
and practical applications of ideas. Can be very stubborn, taking
years to change his or her mind about something. A well-aspected
Mercury here can indicate a pleasing voice, either for speaking or
singing.
FAMOUS people with
Mercury in Taurus include:
ballerina Margot Fonteyn, Henry Fonda, Barbra Streisand, composer
Richard Wagner, Eddie Arnold, J. William Fulbright, conductor Otto
Klemperer, Perry Como, Bing Crosby, Willie Mays, Nikolai Lenin,
painter Willem de Kooning.
Venus at 21 degrees
Pisces trines Saturn in Scorpio at 1:15 am Friday.
Venus and Saturn work together surprisingly well. Venus smooths over
the ambition of Saturn, and helps him schmooze with influential
people. Saturn gets serious about love, and may formalize (Saturn) a
relationship with an engagement ring or wedding.
The Sun is conjunct
Mercury at 6 degrees Taurus at 11:27 pm Friday. Sun with Mercury
is a key turning point in the market cycle, so pay attention to Wall
Street news that day. Natives with the conjunction can be
intellectually brilliant, or great salesmen who are convincing at
putting across their message.
Mercury at 7 degrees
Taurus sextiles Neptune in Pisces at 1:27 pm Saturday. Even the
favorable aspects between Mercury and Neptune can cause a lot of
confusion. However, this transit might be a help at playing music
that requires accurate fingering such as clarinet or a stringed
instrument. Can be helpful in arts and crafts that requires color
sense or following a chart or instructions.

for further clues to how your week will develop. NOTE: some aspects
are exact on a weekend but may find opportunity for expression on the
Friday or Monday nearest the exact aspect. Times given are in Eastern
Standard or Eastern Daylight Savings Time depending on the season.
ARIES
- March 20-April 19 – Cardinal signs are stressed, um make
that challenged, all week beginning Sunday. You may get competitive
with family members Tuesday. Mercury enters your solar second house
Wednesday; you turn into a little bookkeeper about everything,
enjoying putting things into order. The Moon is in Aries from 6:01 am
Saturday thru the weekend. The Moon makes no aspects that day, but
Mercury's sextile to Neptune might prompt you to donate items for a
charitable fundraiser. A secret Santa-type may do you a favor Friday
afternoon.
TAURUS
- April 20-May 20 – On
Monday morning you are kept busy satisfying requests from others.
You may get competitive with coworkers on Tuesday. Mercury enters
your sign on Wednesday so read the above notes on that. You may find
yourself with a microphone in your hand this month – or a ledger.
On Friday afternoon, Venus favors asking your BFF for a huge favor.
Late Saturday you may buy something from a friend just because they
need the money.
GEMINI
- May 21-June 20 – A faraway friend has you laughing Tuesday
night. Mercury enters your solar twelfth house Wednesday; you quietly
turn ideas over in your own mind and may discuss them privately with
those close to you. Promises, promises seem to be the keyword at work
Thursday so try not to be disappointed if they are forgotten.
Finances can blossom Friday seemingly without effort. Your fifth
house of creativity is stressed all week, tho this may mean you hear
knocking, and you have to scramble to open the doors.
CANCER
- June 21-July 22 – Cardinal signs are stressed, um make
that challenged, all week beginning Sunday. Mercury enters your
eleventh house Wednesday; you may serve as bookkeeper for the local
club, or handle the fundraising mailings and newsletter. Friday
afternoon a prof or editor does you a huge favor so think of some way
to say thanks. The home is the busiest place to be all week, which is
your fave place anyway. You may be supervising renovations.
LEO
- July 23-Aug. 22 – An unexpected expense blows the budget
on Sunday. You may get competitive with a neighbor Tuesday, but don't
bet anything that you will miss much if you lose. Mercury enters your
solar tenth house Wednesday; you have a relaxed authority that
provides a calm hand on the tiller. On Thursday afternoon your plans
are really just pipe dreams, but enjoy them as something to aim for.
You may get a good tip Friday afternoon about insurance or wills.
VIRGO
- Aug. 23-Sept. 22 – Your ruling planet Mercury enters your
solar ninth house Wednesday in compatible Taurus; you may want to
either teach or enroll in a class related to practical skills or
how-to's. Your mate does you a great favor Friday afternoon so thank
him or her properly. Friday night you may find a good accountant or
banker who can help grow your plans for the coming year. Making music
provides special enjoyment on Saturday afternoon.
LIBRA
- Sept. 23-Oct. 22 - Cardinal signs are stressed, um make that
challenged, all week beginning Sunday. Mars in your sign gets
competitive, especially on Tuesday; be careful of accidents on
Wednesday. Mercury enters your solar eighth house Wednesday; you are
concerned about getting your money's worth from insurance and
investments, so compare deductibles and fees. The workplace is
confused Thursday, with misplaced papers or messages. You swap favors
with a coworker Friday afternoon; say thanks.
SCORPIO
- Oct. 23-Nov. 21 – You may have a bet going with a coworker
Tuesday, possibly about something in the news. Mercury enters your
solar seventh house Wednesday; you want to talk with your mate more,
and may actually learn a lot more about him or her in the next month
than in the last year. Friday night you may meet quite an impressive
person, possibly a future mate, possibly at karaoke night. Making
music provides special enjoyment Saturday afternoon.
SAGITTARIUS
- Nov. 22-Dec. 21 – A sudden expense may blow the budget
Sunday. You get competitive with a friend on Tuesday. Mercury enters
your solar sixth house Wednesday; safeguard your voice and wrap your
neck against chills. Arguments over money can cause a rift with a
friend Wednesday. Aggravations abound at home Thursday due to
misplaced papers or garbled messages. You swap favors with a family
member Friday afternoon.
CAPRICORN
- Dec. 22-Jan. 19 – The Moon is in Capricorn from Sunday
till early Tuesday. Easter with a Moon in Capricorn emphasizes the
traditions of the holiday, so don't try to buck it. On Monday morning
you are able to be more objective about your friends and what they
want; maybe you will be able to horse-trade favors with each other.
You get totally absorbed in a home project Monday night. Mercury
enters your solar fifth house on Wednesday; you may break into song
at the drop of a hat this month. A neighbor does a favor Friday.
AQUARIUS
- Jan. 20-Feb. 17 – The Moon is in Aquarius from 12:18 am
Tuesday till early Thursday. Tuesday night provides some amusement
from a wry sense of humor, possibly from a long-distance source.
Mercury enters your solar fourth house Wednesday; changes to the home
are aimed at practical considerations and comfort. You will be
frustrated if trying to accomplish errands on your lunch break
Wednesday.
PISCES
- Feb. 18-March 19 – A
sudden expense may land in your lap Sunday. Mercury enters your solar
third house Wednesday; you might splurge on some traditional
monogrammed stationery. The Moon is in Pisces from 2:55 am
Thursday till Saturday morning. You may receive offers to help from
relatives or neighbors Thursday morning. Thursday afternoon is quite
confused or chaotic. Friday afternoon may present a guilt trip; call
your mother anyway. You swap favors Friday afternoon so that's good.
Late Saturday you may buy something from a neighbor just because they
need the money.

Your Milky Way Horoscope Dec. 22-28, 2013
By
Milky Way Maid
Mercury
enters Capricorn at 5:12 am Tuesday.
Mercury in Capricorn is all business!! Mercury here also wants to be
the Answer Man, the one who at least wants
to be the one people turn to for the answers. He may even gather all
sorts of factoids and expect you to be quite impressed by his
knowledge, whether it is pertinent to the matter at hand or not. A
more mature Capricorn personality focuses more on filling others'
need for the facts, just the facts, ma'am. Cappy needs to focus less
on what he knows
and more on what information he shares
for mutual benefit and advancement. To his credit, Capricorn has a
steady and serious mind that readily studies long and hard, and
absorbs details while never losing sight of the Big Picture. Does not
like to be disagreed with! Famous people with Mercury in Capricorn
include: Edgar Allen Poe, Lord Byron, Louis Pasteur, Douglas
MacArthur, Everett Dirksen, Barry Goldwater, Shelley Berman, Margaret
Chase Smith, Richard Nixon, and curiously enough, W. C. Fields!
The
Sun at 3 degrees Capricorn sextiles Neptune in Pisces at 12:06 pm
Tuesday. If
this contacts any natal planets, this transit can find you more
disposed to entertain spiritual ideas and ideals, to meditate, to
deeply enjoy listening to music, to study occult subjects like
astrology or the tarot. You may also be more sensitive to others'
feelings. It's a good time to sit quietly by a fountain or waterfall,
and just listen to the babbling and burbling waters.
Mars
at 8 degrees Libra opposes Uranus in Aries at 3:33 am Wednesday,
Christmas Day.
The personal energy of Mars needs to work off some steam, but runs up
against restrictions that cramp its style. Hence the Uranus energy
goes to work to break down those confining walls and strictures.
Rebellion! Revolution! Stand back, everybody! You're irritable and
impatient and may lash out without planning to – or your projected
resentment is directed back at you. Yes, you probably need to
liberate yourself on some level, but telling off the boss doesn't do
you any favors in the long run. Creative change that is suppressed
may boomerang on you as health problems OR as accidents, so do try to
manage your own change. Whoa, the Moon is also conjunct Mars that
night, intensifying feelings and possibly leading to heated exchange
of words. Don't let it be you that starts something.
Mercury
at 3 degrees Capricorn sextiles Neptune in Pisces at 4:04 am
Thursday. To
me, Mercury and Neptune just do not mix well at all. Some may believe
that there is room for positive growth in spiritual thought, or the
use of mantras or affirmations, working with artistic imagination,
intuition, etc. It may actually be helpful to focus on creative work
under this transit. But frankly I think that most of us let this
transit go by with an hour or a day of mere daydreaming, with nothing
to show for it. Or even worse, they let some huckster rip them off
with promises of all kinds of freebies and sweeteners.

are exact on a weekend but may find opportunity for expression on the
Friday or Monday nearest the exact aspect. Times given are in Eastern
Standard or Eastern Daylight Savings Time depending on the season.
ARIES
- March 20-April 19 - Mercury enters your solar tenth house
on Tuesday; you are better able to communicate your confidence and
authority in your field. Cardinal signs get stressed by the
Mars-Uranus opposition on Christmas morning (Wed.); Aries might rebel
against all they are “expected” to do and just take off with solo
plans for the day. You unwind with an eggnog party Friday afternoon.
TAURUS
- April 20-May 20 – You enjoy a relaxed Sunday afternoon
with professional friends. Mercury enters your solar ninth house on
Tuesday; you may feel a desire to teach, but need to avoid a pedantic
mode. Mechanical problems may affect air flights on Tuesday or
Wednesday, so I think it is best to travel earlier in the week. You
unwind with an eggnog party Friday afternoon.
GEMINI
- May 21-June 20 - Mercury enters your solar eighth house on
Tuesday; you pick up on hidden motives and needs in the messages
others give out. A child may have a temper tantrum Wednesday night;
no doubt this is merely from the strain of being good for so many
days. You unwind with an eggnog party Friday afternoon.
CANCER
- June 21-July 22 - Mercury enters your solar seventh house on
Tuesday; you can get really good at addressing the concerns of others
once you have identified them. Cardinal signs get stressed by the
Mars-Uranus opposition on Christmas morning (Wed.); It does no good
to pout, Moon-baby, so just go with the flow. Pallas sextiles and
Ceres squares Jupiter in your sign this week; your organizational
talents take precedence over your cooking skills.
LEO
- July 23-Aug. 22 – The Moon is in Leo Sunday until
mid-afternoon. You may receive a phone call from one of the kids
early Sunday, probably just to touch base and confirm travel
arrangements. Mercury enters your solar sixth house on Tuesday; you
become stronger at synthesizing all the data into a cohesive
statement. Have a merry Christmas Wednesday! You probably enjoy
playing Santa!
VIRGO
- Aug. 23-Sept. 22 – The Moon is in Virgo from 2:19 pm
Sunday till 1:17 am Wednesday. Sunday afternoon favors enjoying the
company of children or other loved ones. Sunday night is movie night.
Monday favors a lunch with your mentor. Mercury enters your solar
fifth house on Tuesday; your communication style is both strengthened
and weakened by your need to have the last word. You are please
Tuesday night with your children's progress in school. You reach
loved ones by phone Friday evening for a good chat.
LIBRA
- Sept. 23-Oct. 22 – Mercury enters your solar fourth house
Tuesday; you pick up on others' insecurities and are able to validate
them while taking them apart rationally. The Moon is in Libra from
1:17 am Wednesday till Friday morning. Cardinal signs get stressed by
the Mars-Uranus opposition on Christmas morning (Wed.); have any
nicks or cuts tended to to avoid infections. Don't be the one to
start any arguments Wednesday night, either. You unwind with an
eggnog party Friday afternoon.
SCORPIO
- Oct. 23-Nov. 21 – You may receive several calls asking for
information Tuesday morn, the kind of info that only you can provide.
The Mars-Uranus opposition on Wednesday threatens accidents if you
are distracted, so drive safely. You know exactly what your kids are
thinking Thursday morning. The Moon is in Scorpio from 8:58 am Friday
till midday next Sunday. You enjoy a movie matinee Friday, followed
by an eggnog party. You feel rather generous midday Saturday.
SAGITTARIUS
- Nov. 22-Dec. 21 – You send out holiday greetings bright
and early Sunday, complete with animations. Mercury enters your solar
second house on Tuesday; your practical side comes to the fore this
month. A friend gets a wee bit testy Wednesday night; jolly him
along, buy him a drink, or go out for a walk together. Hold onto your
money Thursday, and avoid signing contracts unless the other party
has been thoroughly vetted.
CAPRICORN
- Dec. 22-Jan. 19 - Mercury enters your sign on Tuesday; you
do go on, don't you? Cardinal signs get stressed by the Mars-Uranus
opposition on Christmas morning (Wed.); you might have to soothe
ruffled feathers and figure out a Plan B. You unwind with an eggnog
party Friday afternoon.
AQUARIUS
- Jan. 20-Feb. 17 - Mercury enters your solar twelfth house on
Tuesday; you may benefit from attending writing workshops or other
quiet retreats. Juno is powering to the end of your sign this month;
honor the idea of marriage, possibly by congratulating the happily
married couple who are your best friends. Have a merry Christmas
Wednesday! You probably kept some people busy with a group decorating
project sometime this month.
PISCES
- Feb. 18-March 19 - Mercury enters your solar eleventh house
on Tuesday; you are able to soften your communication style with a
friendlier, folksier approach. Also midday Tuesday, the Sun
highlights any spiritual tendencies you have; you may enjoy sitting
by a stream or maybe the water feature at the mall. You may
unintentionally mislead someone Thursday morning, so don't leave out
key details. Chiron in your sign is irritated by Mars; maybe you
should have a health issue checked out.
