Your Milky Way Horoscope June 29-July 5, 2014

By Milky Way Maid

Dear Readers-- Please visit the website of the National Blood Clot Alliance at StopTheClot.org to learn more about blood clots and when you might need to see a doctor about it.

The Sun at 7 degrees Cancer trines Neptune in Pisces at 3:23 am Sunday. This is followed by: Venus at 7 degrees Gemini squares Neptune in Pisces at 3:31 pm Sunday. Both transits hitting the same day are probably going to cause lots of confusion and lost objects on the mundane level. I know I had a bit of a tizzy earlier today with trying to locate some items I had misplaced, etc tho I eventually found most of them. Neptune, whether in supposedly good or bad aspects, is just as likely to cause losses or the fear of losses in your personal life.

Mercury is Stationary Direct at 24 degrees Gemini at 8:50 am Tuesday, July 1. Yay! Some of you out there hardly breathe until Mercury goes direct again, so now you can finally exhale. Let's hope you learned some previously unrevealed details about whatever issues concern you. I know that I have gone through a period of temporary fixes and the long-term solution will go into effect on the day that Mercury just happens to go direct. So I couldn't hold my breath and refuse to make any decisions. What happened was that I put in the temporary fix, but went for help in finding something else that might save me money and still protect my interests.

The Sun at 12 degrees Cancer opposes Pluto in Capricorn at 4 am Friday. This is the kind of transit that calls on us to dig deep for inner resources and fortitude to overcome obstacles. And yet, if you are trying to “fight City Hall” you may have to throw in the towel and accept defeat. If this contacts personal planets especially the Sun or Mars, you might truly have to fight for your life. On the positive side, you have the chance to clear the air, get to the bottom of whatever is a stumbling block in a relationship, and start afresh. Since Pluto is also symbolic of transformation, this is also an opportunity to remake yourself, make vital changes in your life now that you see what must be done.

Readers can follow not only their Sun sign horoscope but also their Ascendant for further clues to how your week will develop. NOTE: some aspects are exact on a weekend but may find opportunity for expression on the Friday or Monday nearest the exact aspect. Times given are in Eastern Standard or Eastern Daylight Savings Time depending on the season.

ARIES - March 20-April 19 – Monday afternoon finds you in a friendly game with friends, or offering a friendly wager on a sports event. Tuesday's Mercury station in your solar third house brings a rain of messages tumbling all over each other so take time to read every one and sort them out. Relationship issues burst into arguments Saturday pm; make a point of showing up for major events and being mutually supportive or seek counseling.

TAURUS - April 20-May 20 – Financial matters may finally go forward as Mercury turns direct on Tuesday; you get things straightened out and on a better footing, and probably will save some money in the bargain. You may be able to borrow a few bucks from a pal Saturday morning. Health matters may suddenly demand attention Saturday pm so do not delay seeing your practitioner.

GEMINI - May 21-June 20 – Sunday's Venus square Neptune is also conjunct Juno in your sign; you may be very confused or worried about relationship status but this should get cleared up pretty quickly. Mercury goes direct at 24 degrees of your sign on Tuesday morning; expect a backlog of messages to suddenly be dumped in your lap. It might be best to read all messages before responding. It would be prudent to delay any financial decisions until midweek. You may find someone who can trade favors with you Saturday morning.

CANCER - June 21-July 22 – It would be prudent to delay making decisions until midweek, or whenever updated facts can be gathered. You may succeed in getting that moneybags hubby of yours to give you a few bucks Wednesday at dinner. A family member may secretly do you a favor Saturday morning.

LEO - July 23-Aug. 22 – The Moon is in Leo from 4:43 am Sunday till Tuesday evening. The Moon in Leo sextiles Venus Sunday night, putting a glow on social gatherings with friends; however do keep an eye on their drinking since you may have to close the bar early. You will probably have to keep the nose to the grindstone Monday, but the evening looks energetic – you might get in a few rounds of basketball before dinner. Early risers catch messages at the office that would otherwise have gone to the voicemail.

VIRGO - Aug. 23-Sept. 22 – The Moon is in Virgo from 5:24 pm Tuesday till Friday morning. Thursday fireworks may or may not go off without a hitch due to the timing mechanism being off a bit; nevertheless you enjoy being out with boon companions. You may be able to borrow a few bucks from a pal Saturday morning.

LIBRA - Sept. 23-Oct. 22 – The Moon is in Libra from 5:43 am Friday till next Sunday afternoon. The office may be snowed under with a backlog of messages Tuesday, so you might have to stay late. Friday fireworks displays will probably be quite artistic, so bring a camera along to the show. Mid-morning Saturday favors time spent with dear ones, or concentrating on creative projects. The afternoon and evening can be emotionally explosive so remember to count ten before shooting off your mouth.

SCORPIO - Oct. 23-Nov. 21 – Insurance matters and any other eighth house stuff gets straightened out by the time Mercury goes direct Tuesday; you could save a bit of money in the bargain, too. Health matters may suddenly demand attention Saturday pm so do not delay seeing your practitioner.

SAGITTARIUS - Nov. 22-Dec. 21 – Relationship matters are improved by the time Mercury goes direct on Tuesday, so you might even celebrate this weekend with some fireworks of your own. Friends may not be supportive of your creative efforts or of all the time you are spending at classes or rehearsals, especially on Saturday.

CAPRICORN - Dec. 22-Jan. 19 - The office may be snowed under with a backlog of messages Tuesday, so you might have to stay late. Saturday pm focuses tensions on trying to juggle demands of career and family; try to make time for loved ones and make a point of attending as many family events as possible.

AQUARIUS - Jan. 20-Feb. 17 – Prudence may demand you delay decisions about children until at least midweek when messages are confirmed, etc. Get-togethers with dear ones are favored for Saturday; try to organize a picnic or a morning outing with children.

PISCES - Feb. 18-March 19 – Family matters or housing issues should be ironed out by the time Mercury goes direct on Tuesday; celebrate with a family gathering for the holiday at your place. Saturday morning favors working on creative pursuits to exercise your artistic muscles. Saturday pm raises financial tensions and arguments over money; work out that budget and keep to it.

Your Milky Way Horoscope Oct. 6-12, 2013

By Milky Way Maid

Mercury at 9 degrees Scorpio sextiles Pluto in Capricorn at 9:55 pm Sunday. While Sag supposedly worships and seeks Truth more than any other sign, I think it is Scorpio that is more determined to ferret out what the Truth is. I may be prejudiced about this, since I have Scorpio rising. Scorpio will be driven to get to the heart of the matter, possibly with an eye to bringing about positive changes in one's life. This aspect can poke you into taking up study of esoteric subjects like astrology, psychology, handwriting analysis, or into picking up crossword puzzles or Sudoku, etc. Can do a great job of forensic analysis of bookkeeping or other documents like contracts.

Venus enters Sag at 1:54 pm Monday. Venus goes from serious Scorpio to footloose Sag this week. Venus lightens up and is more inclined to just flirt rather than consider a serious romance. That is mainly because Venus in Sag spends so much time out of town, unavailable for a spontaneous date at the pizza joint. Sag's emotional rootlessness can be seen by others as fear of commitment, tho it is really a fear of loss of freedom. Is inclined to joke too much with a serious romantic partner. A mature Sag is able to foster trust in the relationship so that they can endure short separations necessitated by career demands. Venus in Sag makes a better friend, due to his loyalty combined with a certain detachment.

Famous people with Venus in Sag include: Dwight David Eisenhower, James Thurber, Cary Grant, Winston Churchill, Robert Louis Stevenson, Lewis Carroll, Rudyard Kipling, Mark Twain, Douglas MacArthur, Johnny Carson, Joan Baez, Jane Fonda, Charles de Gaulle, and Pablo Casals.

Mercury is conjunct Saturn at 10 degrees Scorpio at 3:39 pm Tuesday. The shorthand for this aspect is “serious talk”, altho it may also include study or reading on serious subjects. Another shorthand is “negative thinking” which you really gotta fight against and analyze whether there is any factual basis for your negativity. You want to stick to the facts, get to the point, get to the bottom line – “Are you in or are you out?” It can also mean crunching the numbers or talking with an older person or mentor. It can mean guilt and worry altho the Moon is often involved when emotions are stirred up. It can mean saying Goodbye, especially for responsible reasons. Hitting your Moon or other personal planets can make you somber and nit-picky and no fun at all. (This aspect kind of echoes the Mercury-Pluto sextile of earlier this week.)

Venus at 3 degrees Sag squares Neptune in Pisces at 5:06 am Thursday. Now this is a bit hard for me to understand the shorthand of this. Normally Venus and Neptune together spell “in love with love” feelings. But Sag is not very serious or romantic, as opposed to Pisces who would like to live in dreams. So this is hard to reconcile. It may be that one party thinks this match is the Real Thing, and the other party thinks this is just a convenient arrangement. A romantic interlude for those already committed, and a secret affair for new liaisons. Possible increased sensitivity and creativity in the arts such as music and painting. The other meaning of Venus square Neptune is that it tends to bring the get-rich-quick schemes (and other scams) out of the woodwork. Don't sign contracts under this aspect! Someone is not telling you the whole story, or is fabricating lies wholesale.

The Sun at 19 degrees Libra squares Jupiter in Cancer at 11:09 am Saturday. Sun-Jupiter squares generally force you to see the effects of overdoing stuff – you wake with the killer hangover, and so you finally decide to grow up and accept your limits when it comes to alcohol. It also tends to make us loosen the purse strings a bit and spend more than usual. You may buy multiples at the shirt sale, plus three pairs of shoes, or replace all your socks. Altho with Cancer, your spending may be on the home and décor.

Your Milky Way Horoscope May 12-18, 2013

By Milky Way Maid

Venus at 5 degrees Gemini squares Neptune in Pisces at 4:48 pm Monday. Venus square Neptune is telling you to guard your wallet or purse! A light-fingered person may lift your wallet, or a fast-talker may get you to sign a contract that does you no good, or a totally shifty person tries to romance you. The only good I can see for it is to go to the early show at the cinema. Another positive side: one's creative imagination and artistic sensitivity can be remarkable, so do practice your piano or write down those songs in your head.

Mercury enters its home, Gemini, at 4:41 pm Wednesday, which oddly enough is Woden's day, the Norse equivalent of Mercury. Those with Mercury in Gemini can be masters of the game Trivial Pursuit, knowing a little bit about a lot of subjects. Can make a fine editor or writer, since they have mastered clarity of expression. In debates, can deliberately omit a key assumption and arrive at a wrong conclusion, but it takes a sharp listener to catch the error.

Sometimes Mercury in Gemini gives excellent manual dexterity, so they make fine seamstresses, craftsmen, carpenters, secretaries, etc. If a native with this placement continually lives on a high level of mental activity without balancing it with practical matters, one can too easily drift into mental strain and nervous breakdown. Famous people with Mercury in Gemini include: comic Bob Hope, onetime Defense Secretary Robert McNamera, former governor Laurence Rockefeller, author William Styron, and singers Bobby Darin and Steve Lawrence.

Mercury at 5 degrees Gemini squares Neptune in Pisces at 3:20 am Saturday. This is very similar to the Venus-Neptune square on Monday. We may be deceived, although this may be due more to confusion than deliberate trickery. But as with the other aspect, avoid signing any papers or contracts at this time. Also, people may feel a bit spaced out that morning, unable to stay focused on daily chores. People may make unrealistic decisions. Even if you give in to the vibe of the day and study mystical or metaphysical matters, one needs to stay grounded.

Venus at 11 degrees Gemini sextiles Uranus in Aries at 12:40 pm Saturday. Venus-Uranus aspects usually have something to do with meeting fascinating strangers, foreigners, or people who are unusual in some way. These are usually short-term relationships or chance meetings, but they do stretch one's horizons and sometimes force one to dispose of limiting beliefs.

ARIES - March 20-April 19 – Talk over decisions with a trusted person Monday before impulsively signing anything. Mercury enters your daily-life sector on Wednesday; you may be busier than ever with calls, errands, and presentations. A charming foreigner may move into the neighborhood over the weekend. Chiron in one of your health houses demands that you pay attention to scheduling regular checkups.

TAURUS - April 20-May 20 – Try not to promise money you do not have early Sunday. Be especially careful Monday afternoon of your money and where you put your purse. Early Wednesday brings good will from women and the general public. Mercury enters your money sector on Wednesday; you may look for a tax advisor, or crunch a lot of financial data. Late afternoon Thursday you enjoy some private quiet time to yourself. Pallas was on the eclipse degree last week so you may find out what you are really good at, and become the go-to person.

GEMINI - May 21-June 20 – The Moon is in Gemini from Sunday till early Monday. The Moon is void most of Sunday, so stick to routine – except for the early morning, when your bucket of feel-good stuff overflows. Mercury enters your solar first house on Wednesday; you may have a lot more visitors be asked to do more speaking engagements. Thursday favors asking a favor of a friend over lunch. With Ceres and Vesta both well into your solar second house of finances now, you may not only manage your own money but others' funds as well.

You may enjoy a very private lunch Saturday with a charming foreigner.

VIRGO - Aug. 23-Sept. 22 – Stick to routine on Sunday. Be alert Monday afternoon against a shifty business offer. Tuesday morn may be a bit hectic when you handle scrambled schedules. Mercury enters your career sector on Wednesday; you may do the Power Point presentations or field conference calls, or be asked to mentor a new associate. The Moon is in Virgo from 5:33 am Saturday thru the weekend. Saturday afternoon is best if you just relax. Dinner hour is a bit annoying because no one wants to talk about what you want to talk about.

LIBRA - Sept. 23-Oct. 22 – Avoid finalizing any legal or religious matters on Sunday. Mercury enters your travel sector on Wednesday; you look for ways to broaden your mind with travel or classes. You could meet a charming foreigner at lunch on Saturday. Chiron in your health house demands that you pay attention to your daily regimen and diet.

SCORPIO - Oct. 23-Nov. 21 – Indulge your artistic pursuits on Wednesday, when Neptune increases sensitivity and imagination. Mercury enters your joint finances sector on Wednesday; you may have to talk about those difficult subjects with your mate, things like writing a will or financial planning. You may also wonder more about other peoples' real agenda. A charming foreigner may join the company staff over the weekend.

SAGITTARIUS - Nov. 22-Dec. 21 – The week looks quite stressful with family members possibly being victimized by a scammer. Mercury enters your partnership sector on Wednesday; there's a chance you may meet a dead ringer for yourself, but more likely you will find out more about your mate. Juno in your solar third house suggests you may work closely with a relative or neighbor on some project.

CAPRICORN - Dec. 22-Jan. 19 – Maybe you should consider posting a warning in the workplace, possibly in the newsletter, about the latest scam or phishing alert. Mercury enters your workplace sector on Wednesday; Mercury fills your appointment book and brings calls two at a time, and you may also schedule health checkups. Vesta and Ceres in your opposite sign ask you to provide at least moral support for your partner.

AQUARIUS - Jan. 20-Feb. 17 – The week is filled with recurrent threats to the security of your finances; hang up on phone scammers. Mercury enters your entertainment sector on Wednesday; you may take charge of reserving a bus for an excursion or chaperone school class trips. Ceres and Vesta in your workplace sector suggest you are more involved in the caring professions. Pallas in your solar fourth house gives your more authority with the family.

PISCES - Feb. 18-March 19 – Always maintain scrupulous honesty in all personal dealings, and inform clients of their rights. Mercury enters your home sector on Wednesday; you may work on a family history project, such as videotaping seniors reminiscing about life “back when”. Authority may pass to a sibling as the head of the family. You may take or plan for a nice quiet retreat with your mate in a secluded spot.
