Your Milky Way Horoscope Dec. 29-Jan. 4, 2014
By
Milky Way Maid
The Sun at 8 degrees
Capricorn is conjunct Mercury at 1:28 am Sunday.
This is a key point in the economic cycle (as are all the
conjunctions between Sun, Mercury and Venus) so keep an eye peeled
for stock market moves and hot sectors. Since this is in Capricorn,
the sign of both Big Business and of government, those areas should
feel the biggest impact. The Sun opposes Jupiter a week later, which
may mean that gold (Sun) hits a correction point.
Mercury at 8 degrees
39' Capricorn squares Uranus in Aries at 3:48 am Sunday. This is
followed by the Sun square Uranus at 12:05 am Monday.
Mercury-Uranus squares are generally bad for buying electronic or
mechanical items; it may mean that repairs are called for on items
you already have. To avoid accidents, avoid doing things on impulse –
the key word there is impulse. Think what to do, use your signals,
communicate your intentions. You might have some brainstorms, but
your thoughts tend to be chaotic and so you benefit from writing down
what needs to be done, step by step. Your nerves may also be jittery;
skip the second cup of java. This is followed by the Sun's hunger for
change. You may change your routine, shake yourself out of a rut.
Once I got on a plane under this transit, for a quick weekend trip.
You need a change of scene instead of staring at the same four walls.
Instead of channel surfing or web surfing, try visiting a museum show
or gallery. Pick up a magazine you never heard of before about a
subject you might not be familiar with. At the same time, expect the
unexpected.
Mars at 11 degrees
Libra squares Pluto in Capricorn at 8:16 pm Monday.
If the Uranus squares are not channeled into constructive changes
(see above) then this Mars-Pluto square may blast you out of your
cozy cocoon. Mars and Pluto together are such an explosive combo,
it's like dynamite plus a nuclear bomb. Avoid dangerous places or
hi-energy crowds. There can be ego conflicts or power struggles
between business partners or marital partners. Ambition or control
issues may be a sticking point. On the plus side, you can harness
this energy to get a lot of work done, like cleaning out a garage or
demolishing a building. You might also conceive a child if you have
not been able to before.
Mercury is conjunct
Pluto at 11 degrees Capricorn at 6:24 am Tuesday, and soon squares
Mars in Libra at 9:59 am Tuesday.
This is a lot like Mars-Pluto, but more verbal. Mercury plus Mars in
particular is argument or debate, although Pluto wants to totally
demolish the opponent's assumptions and data.
Then the Sun is
conjunct Pluto (again at 11 degrees) at 1:54 am Wednesday, New Year's
Day. I am going to make a
suggestion on how to harness the power of the conjunction with Pluto
(PS – there is also a New Moon in Capricorn on New Year's Day at
6:14 am on 10 degrees 57' of Cappy). Pluto has many meanings but I
want to focus on the one that helps you to take control of your own
life. You might want to also harness the power of the 11 degree
number by waiting for the clock to hit 11:11 on your digital readout,
and making a very concentrated, very earnest wish for your life, for
the year, or for the near future. The numbers lady, Glynis McCants
talked about how an actress made a wish for herself to get a plum
role when the clock read 11:11; she got the part and hit it big with
that role.
The Sun at 12 degrees
Capricorn squares Mars in Libra at 7:14 pm Thursday. After
all the heavy-duty transits listed above, this one may seem like a
piece of cake. All ya gotta do is get into the gym and work off your
frustrations. Because the square can mean being blocked or hemmed in
somehow, and you really wanna dig in your heels and fight back. This
is good in an athletic contest, where one team is down 10 points at
the half and comes back to win the game in the second half.
Mercury at 15 degrees
Capricorn opposes Jupiter retrograde in Cancer at 2:11 am Friday.
Fifteen degrees is the world degree in cardinal signs, so there might
be rather significant news in the wind. Pay attention to the fine
print in any deals, or have someone with you who will take care of
that. A tendency to arrogance sometimes with this transit, so don't
come across as a know-it-all. A sense of humor really helps lighten
the mood.

Friday or Monday nearest the exact aspect. Times given are in Eastern
Standard or Eastern Daylight Savings Time depending on the season.
ARIES
- March 20-April 19 - The powerful New Moon on New Year's is
in your solar tenth house of career and rank; you may have to risk
public failure, but doing so may lead to fulfilling your ambitions.
Uranus transiting your sign also ties in to the New Moon; you may
upset the status quo, possibly as a gadfly or activist. You may rely
on your mate more than ever in the first half of 2014, due to the
strength of the transits of Ceres and Vesta in your seventh house.
TAURUS
- April 20-May 20 – The powerful New Moon on New Year's is
in your solar ninth house of publishing, college, law, religion, the
internet; your intellect delivers amazing insights and intuition not
just for your benefit but for all the world. Pallas transiting your
fifth house and Mars in your sixth house tie in to the New Moon;
health challenges lie ahead, but so does a very bright, capable
person as a love interest. Pay attention to the fine print in any
contracts Friday, or take along a confederate who will do so.
GEMINI
- May 21-June 20 – The powerful New Moon on New Year's is in
your solar eighth house; you may learn how to tap into others' true
motivations, and push them into greater self-awareness. You are very
proud of an accomplished child in 2014. You challenge yourself to

can do some athletic feat; getcher tennies on.
CANCER
- June 21-July 22 - The powerful New Moon on New Year's is in
your solar seventh house of partners; opening up to your mate can
catapult you into a deeper and more intimate bond. A neighbor may
have very good advice for you about practical matters like software
or keeping a datebook. A male family member may be a bit disruptive
this year. The year 2014 may get off to a trying start, but the
protective power of Jupiter still in Cancer is in effect.
LEO
- July 23-Aug. 22 - The powerful New Moon on New Year's is in
your solar sixth house of health and work; you clean up disorder and
install efficiencies in the office or in a volunteer situation. A new
personal accountant or tax adviser may offer excellent guidelines for
getting your finances in order this year. Think carefully before
sending letters or email out there; have a friend scan thru them
first.
VIRGO
- Aug. 23-Sept. 22 - The powerful New Moon on New Year's is
in your solar fifth house of creativity and fun; you can tap into a
deeper level of creative power when entertaining others, if you are
able to set aside inhibitions. Pallas in your sign ties in to the New
Moon; you may be a guide or mentor of some kind to children. Watch
out for excess fees and taxes on your bills in 2014, and ask for
unjustified charges to be removed. Juno moves into your sign for the
New Year; unmarried persons may not remain so for long.
LIBRA
- Sept. 23-Oct. 22 – The phone may ring off the hook Sunday
(or the previous Saturday) so keep in touch. The powerful New Moon on
New Year's is in your solar fourth house of home and family;
accepting your deep feelings increases your sensitivity to others and
deeper ties. Pallas in Libra trines the New Moon, probably indicating
that you may play a greater role as mentor or adviser to family
members.
SCORPIO
- Oct. 23-Nov. 21 – The Moon is in Scorpio Sunday morning.
Exchange a favor Sunday morning with a loved one, possibly a young
niece or cousin. The powerful New Moon on New Year's is in your solar
third house of messages and gadgets; you can ask penetrating
questions that provoke others into new insights, kind of like
Socrates did. Pay attention to the fine print in any contracts
Friday, or take along a confederate who will do so.
SAGITTARIUS
- Nov. 22-Dec. 21 – The Moon is in Sag from 12:37 pm Sunday
till midday Tuesday, New Year's Eve. I would probably skip the
matinee Sunday afternoon. If you are off work Monday, a morning game
of pickup basketball with a friend might be the thing to work off
some of those holiday calories. The powerful New Moon on New Year's
is in your solar second house; you may have to draw upon hidden
talents if you are to transform your financial situation.
CAPRICORN
- Dec. 22-Jan. 19 – The Moon is in Capricorn from 1:01 pm
Tuesday till midday Thursday. Tuesday afternoon favors pipe-dreaming
up your goals for next year. Do some serious wishing on your stars at
11:11 Wednesday morning. Don't be too stingy Wednesday afternoon. The
powerful New Moon on New Year's is in your own sign; “extreme
makeover” might be the keywords for 2014, whether you change your
image, your name or your career. You are likely to dig in your heels
Thursday night.
AQUARIUS
- Jan. 20-Feb. 17 – The
powerful New Moon on New Year's is in your solar twelfth house;
you feel the presence of the
unseen world and of the spiritual dimensions. The
Moon is in Aquarius from 12:03 pm Thursday till midday Saturday. Your
energies are excellent on Friday; you may even do some rock climbing.
Frustrations set in Friday night, tho, so have a Plan B and C.
PISCES
- Feb. 18-March 19 – The powerful New Moon on New Year's is
in your solar eleventh house of groups; you shape the organizations
you belong to into alignment with universal values. The Moon is in
Pisces from 11:58 am Saturday and thru the rest the of the weekend.
You vote for a nice long film festival Saturday afternoon and
evening; take notes on the movies to share with others online!

Your Milky Way Horoscope Dec. 22-28, 2013
By
Milky Way Maid
Mercury
enters Capricorn at 5:12 am Tuesday.
Mercury in Capricorn is all business!! Mercury here also wants to be
the Answer Man, the one who at least wants
to be the one people turn to for the answers. He may even gather all
sorts of factoids and expect you to be quite impressed by his
knowledge, whether it is pertinent to the matter at hand or not. A
more mature Capricorn personality focuses more on filling others'
need for the facts, just the facts, ma'am. Cappy needs to focus less
on what he knows
and more on what information he shares
for mutual benefit and advancement. To his credit, Capricorn has a
steady and serious mind that readily studies long and hard, and
absorbs details while never losing sight of the Big Picture. Does not
like to be disagreed with! Famous people with Mercury in Capricorn
include: Edgar Allen Poe, Lord Byron, Louis Pasteur, Douglas
MacArthur, Everett Dirksen, Barry Goldwater, Shelley Berman, Margaret
Chase Smith, Richard Nixon, and curiously enough, W. C. Fields!
The
Sun at 3 degrees Capricorn sextiles Neptune in Pisces at 12:06 pm
Tuesday. If
this contacts any natal planets, this transit can find you more
disposed to entertain spiritual ideas and ideals, to meditate, to
deeply enjoy listening to music, to study occult subjects like
astrology or the tarot. You may also be more sensitive to others'
feelings. It's a good time to sit quietly by a fountain or waterfall,
and just listen to the babbling and burbling waters.
Mars
at 8 degrees Libra opposes Uranus in Aries at 3:33 am Wednesday,
Christmas Day.
The personal energy of Mars needs to work off some steam, but runs up
against restrictions that cramp its style. Hence the Uranus energy
goes to work to break down those confining walls and strictures.
Rebellion! Revolution! Stand back, everybody! You're irritable and
impatient and may lash out without planning to – or your projected
resentment is directed back at you. Yes, you probably need to
liberate yourself on some level, but telling off the boss doesn't do
you any favors in the long run. Creative change that is suppressed
may boomerang on you as health problems OR as accidents, so do try to
manage your own change. Whoa, the Moon is also conjunct Mars that
night, intensifying feelings and possibly leading to heated exchange
of words. Don't let it be you that starts something.
Mercury
at 3 degrees Capricorn sextiles Neptune in Pisces at 4:04 am
Thursday. To
me, Mercury and Neptune just do not mix well at all. Some may believe
that there is room for positive growth in spiritual thought, or the
use of mantras or affirmations, working with artistic imagination,
intuition, etc. It may actually be helpful to focus on creative work
under this transit. But frankly I think that most of us let this
transit go by with an hour or a day of mere daydreaming, with nothing
to show for it. Or even worse, they let some huckster rip them off
with promises of all kinds of freebies and sweeteners.

Friday or Monday nearest the exact aspect. Times given are in Eastern
Standard or Eastern Daylight Savings Time depending on the season.
ARIES
- March 20-April 19 - Mercury enters your solar tenth house
on Tuesday; you are better able to communicate your confidence and
authority in your field. Cardinal signs get stressed by the
Mars-Uranus opposition on Christmas morning (Wed.); Aries might rebel
against all they are “expected” to do and just take off with solo
plans for the day. You unwind with an eggnog party Friday afternoon.
TAURUS
- April 20-May 20 – You enjoy a relaxed Sunday afternoon
with professional friends. Mercury enters your solar ninth house on
Tuesday; you may feel a desire to teach, but need to avoid a pedantic
mode. Mechanical problems may affect air flights on Tuesday or
Wednesday, so I think it is best to travel earlier in the week. You
unwind with an eggnog party Friday afternoon.
GEMINI
- May 21-June 20 - Mercury enters your solar eighth house on
Tuesday; you pick up on hidden motives and needs in the messages
others give out. A child may have a temper tantrum Wednesday night;
no doubt this is merely from the strain of being good for so many
days. You unwind with an eggnog party Friday afternoon.
CANCER
- June 21-July 22 - Mercury enters your solar seventh house on
Tuesday; you can get really good at addressing the concerns of others
once you have identified them. Cardinal signs get stressed by the
Mars-Uranus opposition on Christmas morning (Wed.); It does no good
to pout, Moon-baby, so just go with the flow. Pallas sextiles and
Ceres squares Jupiter in your sign this week; your organizational
talents take precedence over your cooking skills.
LEO
- July 23-Aug. 22 – The Moon is in Leo Sunday until
mid-afternoon. You may receive a phone call from one of the kids
early Sunday, probably just to touch base and confirm travel
arrangements. Mercury enters your solar sixth house on Tuesday; you
become stronger at synthesizing all the data into a cohesive
statement. Have a merry Christmas Wednesday! You probably enjoy
playing Santa!
VIRGO
- Aug. 23-Sept. 22 – The Moon is in Virgo from 2:19 pm
Sunday till 1:17 am Wednesday. Sunday afternoon favors enjoying the
company of children or other loved ones. Sunday night is movie night.
Monday favors a lunch with your mentor. Mercury enters your solar
fifth house on Tuesday; your communication style is both strengthened
and weakened by your need to have the last word. You are please
Tuesday night with your children's progress in school. You reach
loved ones by phone Friday evening for a good chat.
LIBRA
- Sept. 23-Oct. 22 – Mercury enters your solar fourth house
Tuesday; you pick up on others' insecurities and are able to validate
them while taking them apart rationally. The Moon is in Libra from
1:17 am Wednesday till Friday morning. Cardinal signs get stressed by
the Mars-Uranus opposition on Christmas morning (Wed.); have any
nicks or cuts tended to to avoid infections. Don't be the one to
start any arguments Wednesday night, either. You unwind with an
eggnog party Friday afternoon.
SCORPIO
- Oct. 23-Nov. 21 – You may receive several calls asking for
information Tuesday morn, the kind of info that only you can provide.
The Mars-Uranus opposition on Wednesday threatens accidents if you
are distracted, so drive safely. You know exactly what your kids are
thinking Thursday morning. The Moon is in Scorpio from 8:58 am Friday
till midday next Sunday. You enjoy a movie matinee Friday, followed
by an eggnog party. You feel rather generous midday Saturday.
SAGITTARIUS
- Nov. 22-Dec. 21 – You send out holiday greetings bright
and early Sunday, complete with animations. Mercury enters your solar
second house on Tuesday; your practical side comes to the fore this
month. A friend gets a wee bit testy Wednesday night; jolly him
along, buy him a drink, or go out for a walk together. Hold onto your
money Thursday, and avoid signing contracts unless the other party
has been thoroughly vetted.
CAPRICORN
- Dec. 22-Jan. 19 - Mercury enters your sign on Tuesday; you
do go on, don't you? Cardinal signs get stressed by the Mars-Uranus
opposition on Christmas morning (Wed.); you might have to soothe
ruffled feathers and figure out a Plan B. You unwind with an eggnog
party Friday afternoon.
AQUARIUS
- Jan. 20-Feb. 17 - Mercury enters your solar twelfth house on
Tuesday; you may benefit from attending writing workshops or other
quiet retreats. Juno is powering to the end of your sign this month;
honor the idea of marriage, possibly by congratulating the happily
married couple who are your best friends. Have a merry Christmas
Wednesday! You probably kept some people busy with a group decorating
project sometime this month.
PISCES
- Feb. 18-March 19 - Mercury enters your solar eleventh house
on Tuesday; you are able to soften your communication style with a
friendlier, folksier approach. Also midday Tuesday, the Sun
highlights any spiritual tendencies you have; you may enjoy sitting
by a stream or maybe the water feature at the mall. You may
unintentionally mislead someone Thursday morning, so don't leave out
key details. Chiron in your sign is irritated by Mars; maybe you
should have a health issue checked out.

Your Milky Way Horoscope Dec. 15-21, 2013
By
Milky Way Maid
Uranus makes a Direct
Station at 12:39 pm Tuesday at 8 degrees, 35' of Aries. A
period of rebellion and non-conformity and unexpected events comes to
a close – Uranus went retrograde on July 17 at 12 degrees Aries, so
try to think back to events since that time which shook up your life
a bit. Dane Rudhyar said that Uranus “is the power of
Transfiguration – it releases Light through the personality.” On
some level you may have felt like you were struck by lightning!
Things were probably a bit chaotic, although a Grand Trine in water
signs of Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune may have eased things a bit, or
may have heightened your emotional reactions to events. I know that I
have experienced a roller coaster of emotions since about that time,
and look forward to things settling down. Complacency tries to lull
us to fall back into our old ruts, but the work is to apply your new
insights into breaking through your old limitations. There is no
going back!!
The Sun enters
Capricorn at 12:11 pm Saturday. Sun
in Capricorn natives seem to naturally take leadership positions;
they like to have some control over others, although they are not
necessarily malicious in wanting power. They just like being in a
position where they are not helpless against the tide of events!
Sometimes they do get hung up on the respect thing, rather than
focusing on getting the job done. Cappy is a natural-born organizer,
and is also good at recognizing and developing organizational talents
in others. Is willing to delegate. Capricorn natives seem old when
they are young, and young (or at least well-kept) when they are old.
They have a strong sense of duty and are self-disciplined. Famous
people with the Sun in Capricorn include:
Cary Grant, Joan Baez, Barry Goldwater, Artur Rubenstein, Muhammad
Ali, Kit Carson, Benjamin Franklin, Danny Kaye, Rudyard Kipling,
Louis Pasteur, Sir Isaac Newton, and Saint Joan of Arc.
Venus makes a
Retrograde Station at 4:53 pm Saturday at 28 degrees 58' of
Capricorn. Venus will go direct
again on Jan. 31 at 13 degrees Capricorn. So for these six weeks you
may reconsider expressing love, or may doubt the love offered by
others. You may also have trouble attracting money into your life. On
the plus side, you may have a change of heart about someone, and
decide you did not really understand them before. Capricorn is not
what you call a forgiving or magnanimous sign, and may insist that
you give only as much as you are being given. However, Venus stations
represent a change in values, or a change of heart according to Dane
Rudhyar. Maybe Capricorn represents “what remains” – and the
Venus stations illuminate What Really Matters, and that is generally
speaking NOT mere dollar signs. PS-- Thursday is the worst day to ask
anyone for a favor.
Also, we have a Full
Moon this week at 4:28 am Tuesday, at 25 degrees 36' of Gemini.
Jupiter and Saturn remain in
trine in water signs, at odds with the air and fire of the Full Moon.
Vesta and Ceres remain in a paso-doble at 13 and 17 degrees of Libra
this week; relationship matters retain high priority. Use this energy
to tackle nagging issues with your partner.

ARIES
- March 20-April 19 – Uranus goes direct in your sign on
Tuesday; make an effort to apply your new insights into remaking
yourself as a new and better person. You can reach across barriers of
race and class, becoming a leader who is respected by all. The Sun
enters your solar tenth house on Saturday; you may feel an extra
responsibility at year-end to mind the store in a responsible way.
TAURUS
- April 20-May 20 - Uranus goes direct in your solar twelfth
house on Tuesday; you may be eccentric just to be perverse. But
following your personal insights and inspiration can lead you to a
more authentic self. The Sun enters your solar ninth house on
Saturday; you enjoy being consulted as an expert in your field, and
are generous with advice.
GEMINI
- May 21-June 20 - Uranus goes direct in your solar eleventh
house on Tuesday; you desire freedom and independence within the
framework of a group. This may express itself as impersonal and cold
rationality, but of course you manage to treat everyone as equals yet
as individuals, too. The Sun enters your solar eighth house on
Saturday; you resist dipping into the joint account or even the
rainy-day fund for holiday splurges.
CANCER
- June 21-July 22 - Uranus goes direct in your solar tenth
house on Tuesday; there is the tendency with this transit to
deliberately disrupt the status quo, without thinking about what to
replace it with. The positive side involves creative change for the
benefit of all. The Sun enters your solar seventh house on Saturday;
you insist on being treated as an equal this month and you speak up
about your needs and values.
LEO
- July 23-Aug. 22 - Uranus goes direct in your solar ninth
house on Tuesday; you have the tendency to attack or try to
invalidate the belief systems of all others. It is far better to try
to extract the germ of wisdom from every creed or person you meet.
The Sun enters your solar sixth house on Saturday; while you carry
out your duties this month you still manage to derive a sense of deep
satisfaction from them.
VIRGO
- Aug. 23-Sept. 22 - Uranus goes direct in your solar eighth
house on Tuesday; dealings with investment firms or insurance
carriers can be erratic and unreliable, with many ups and downs. Know
when to get out. The Sun enters your solar fifth house on Saturday;
you enjoy pleasures this month but they will generally center on the
children of the clan.
LIBRA
- Sept. 23-Oct. 22 - Uranus goes direct in your solar seventh
house on Tuesday; you may get involved with a foreigner or someone
with an accent. This may come after a series of short-term or erratic
relationships with undependable people. The Sun enters your solar
fourth house on Saturday; you dominate the household this month,
deciding where and how the holidays will be celebrated.
SCORPIO
- Oct. 23-Nov. 21 - Uranus goes direct in your solar sixth
house on Tuesday; you fill unusual job opportunities, although in a
material sense you may express this as temping. The Sun enters your
solar third house on Saturday; your writing may become more formal or
you may communicate with government offices this month.
SAGITTARIUS
- Nov. 22-Dec. 21 – Uranus goes direct in your solar fifth
house on Tuesday; the key phrase here is free expression. You may
latch onto a medium for the more perfect self-expression of your
unique slant on life. The Sun enters your solar second house on
Saturday; you attract financial success by saving a little here and
there, not by a big score.
CAPRICORN
- Dec. 22-Jan. 19 – Uranus goes direct in your solar fourth
house on Tuesday; you may insist on your freedom from tired family
traditions this year, which is all right as long as you promise to
return to the fold next year. The Sun enters your sign on Saturday;
you assert leadership this month, the way cream rises to the top.
Just remember not to gloat too much.
AQUARIUS
- Jan. 20-Feb. 17 - Uranus goes direct in your solar third
house on Tuesday; you might find you have a knack for mind-to-mind
thought transfer. On other levels, you are innovative in creating
practical applications for technology, but take care not to focus on
mere gadgetry that amuses only you. The Sun enters your solar twelfth
house on Saturday; your private dreams receive an energy jolt and you
may see more clearly how to build a foundation under them.
PISCES
- Feb. 18-March 19 - Uranus goes direct in your solar second
house on Tuesday; your ability to innovate can mean a second income
from new structures you create. The alternative may be unreliable and
erratic income over the long term. The Sun enters your solar eleventh
house on Saturday; you lead this month but in a very messy, amorphous
Pisces-like manner.

Your Milky Way Horoscope Dec. 8-14, 2013
By
Milky Way Maid
Mercury at 8 degrees
Sag trines Uranus in Aries at 12:05 pm Tuesday.
Ah, another of my favorite days for checking out buys in anything
mechanical, electrical, electronic, etc. Anything from cars to
computers to iPads to toasters. If your are shopping for holiday
gifts, this is probably the best day to buy the electronic stuff.
Bear in mind that Mercury is not really at home in Sag and might act
like it wants to be in Gemini, its home. That says to me that things
that record the written word, like a Kindle, would be a very
appropriate item for this transit.
Jupiter at 18 and a
half degrees Cancer trines Saturn in Scorpio at 7 pm Thursday.
Studies have shown that people who have success in the performing
arts have a good natal aspect between these two planets. It indicates
that their hard work (Saturn) is rewarded with lucky breaks and
success (Jupiter). So I would think that this transit would favor
kicking off a business venture like a store or website, or making a
flurry of introductions to people in your chosen field. Being
recognized in terms of an award, like Best New Artist, reaching a
milestone in terms of hours put in, graduating from being just a temp
to a regular employee – any of those types of things could also
come your way if this contacts a natal planet or angle.
Vesta
and Ceres in the Via Combusta. While
I had not paid much attention to the Via Combusta till now, a recent
perusal of an article about Saturn completing its transit of the Via
Combusta (the degrees from mid-Libra to mid-Scorpio) made me sit back
and think this over a bit. At any rate, Ceres reaches 15 degrees
Libra about Dec. 11, and Vesta reaches that point about Dec 25. The
Via Combusta represents a trial by fire for any unfortunate
transiting planet or other celestial body. I expect that any sense of
ease and comfort will have to be severely cut back for Libra natives
or anyone with natal planets being contacted. Ceres, representing
bounty, will of course have to experience the winter of its
hibernation, you might say. Ceres, the quiet and demure caretaker,
nurse and homemaker, might cast about for a new home to take care of.
Saturn officially left the Via Combusta Nov. 21. You might enjoy
reading and reflecting on the New Moon eclipse conjunct Saturn of
Nov. 3 in an article written by Willow at
http://willowsweb.blogspot.com/2013/10/new-moon-eclipse-in-scorpio-conjunct.html
She wrote: “My interpretation of the Via Combusta is
humanized and comes from the point-of-view of a person experiencing
life with key natal placements in this area. When the Via Combusta
is strongly highlighted, there is a feeling of running the gauntlet
through sometimes seemingly insurmountable odds, collective karma,
booby traps and friction, very often related to relationship
dynamics...”

Readers
can follow not only their Sun sign horoscope but also their Ascendant
for further clues to how your week will develop. NOTE: some aspects
are exact on a weekend but may find opportunity for expression on the
Friday or Monday nearest the exact aspect. Times given are in Eastern
Standard or Eastern Daylight Savings Time depending on the season.
ARIES
- March 20-April 19 – The Moon is in Aries from 8:06 am
Tuesday till Thursday afternoon. You may have a huge chip on your
shoulder mid-morning on Monday, but there is hardly any reason for it
to be there. Wednesday may be stressful because you feel squeezed
between family and career obligations, though you get to relax in the
evening. Thursday may bring an opportunity related to a family
business or legacy. Pallas and Chiron oppose each other in your
health sectors; a second opinion may identify your ailment.
TAURUS
- April 20-May 20 – The Moon is in Taurus from 3:40 pm
Thursday till early next Sunday. You enjoy a movie on Thursday night
under an easy aspect to Neptune, but it may be best to let someone
else drive.. Friday favors lunch with your mentor or an older
advisor. Saturday night calls for family gatherings to enjoy the good
life under Venus' charming rays.
GEMINI
- May 21-June 20 – Your best day of the week may be Tuesday,
when the Moon is in compatible Aries you may find some charming
miniature electronics to play with, favored by the transiting
Mercury-Uranus trine. Thursday could bring a financial opportunity,
possibly related to turning an avocation into a profitable going
concern.
CANCER
- June 21-July 22 – Best
day of the week is probably Monday, when the Moon is in compatible
Pisces and there are easy aspects between the Moon and the
heavy-hitter planets. Do some brainstorming on Monday and/or
Thursday on ways to get your life and career moving forward, when
Jupiter and Saturn are in trine.
LEO
- July 23-Aug. 22 – Your best day of the week may be
Tuesday, when the Moon is in compatible Aries and you may find
pleasure in electronic toys of some kind, favored by the transiting
Mercury-Uranus trine – probably something that makes a lot of noise
and is preferably red in color. On Thursday you may work behind the
scenes on family matters, such as a family business.
VIRGO
- Aug. 23-Sept. 22 – Your
best days of the week are when the Moon is in compatible Taurus,
Thursday night thru Saturday. Monday's quarter moon presents
agreeable windows for progressing in your holiday agenda. Still, it
would be well to take a break some evening for taking the kids to
view the official tree lighting or to enact some family tradition.
LIBRA
- Sept. 23-Oct. 22 – Tuesday favors buying an electronic
gift for a relative, also buying or selling a car. Your salary scale
could take a boost Thursday with the help of Jupiter and Saturn
ensuring that past effort is rewarded. Pallas and Chiron oppose each
other in your health sectors; a second opinion may identify your
ailment.
SCORPIO
- Oct. 23-Nov. 21 – Best day of the week is probably Monday,
when the Moon is in compatible Pisces and there are easy aspects
between the Moon and the heavy-hitter planets. Do some brainstorming
on Monday and-or Thursday on ways to get your life and career moving
forward, when Jupiter and Saturn are in trine.
SAGITTARIUS
- Nov. 22-Dec. 21 – Tuesday may bring an interesting
experiment in thought transfer with a child. Tuesday may be the best
day of the week anyway, with the possibility of a bolt from the blue
(Uranus) late at night bringing real insight into how to solve a
problem. Venus favors creative pursuits on Saturday night, so pull
out the paint brushes or pen and paper.
CAPRICORN
- Dec. 22-Jan. 19 – Best days of the week may be Thursday
night thru Saturday, when the Moon is in compatible Taurus. You may
develop a business plan for bringing a long-held dream to fruition
Thursday, when a legacy gives you something to work with. You pause
to enjoy the good life Saturday night.
AQUARIUS
- Jan. 20-Feb. 17 – Best day of the week may be Tuesday,
when not only is the Moon in compatible Aries, but the Mercury-Uranus
trine plus your fascination with new technology helps you find a new
toy to play with. Turning a sideline into a viable business might be
on your agenda Thursday; make sure to get the best advice you can.
PISCES
- Feb. 18-March 19 – The Moon is in Pisces from 3:34 am
Sunday till Tuesday morning. Sleeping late Sunday morning, then
self-absorbed at midday – you are hardly the social butterfly
today. Monday you are called upon to put in extra effort, possibly
with a whip poised over your head to help you stick to the task.
Thursday might be the best day of the week for you, a day when it
would be good to brainstorm on ways to get your career moving, when
Saturn and Jupiter are in good position to help.
