Your Milky Way Horoscope June 29-July 5, 2014
By
Milky Way Maid
Dear
Readers-- Please visit the website of the National Blood Clot
Alliance at StopTheClot.org to learn more about blood clots and when
you might need to see a doctor about it.
The Sun at 7 degrees
Cancer trines Neptune in Pisces at 3:23 am Sunday.
This is followed by: Venus at 7 degrees Gemini squares
Neptune in Pisces at 3:31 pm Sunday. Both
transits hitting the same day are probably going to cause lots of
confusion and lost objects on the mundane level. I know I had a bit
of a tizzy earlier today with trying to locate some items I had
misplaced, etc tho I eventually found most of them. Neptune, whether
in supposedly good or bad aspects, is just as likely to cause losses
or the fear of losses in your personal life.
Mercury is Stationary
Direct at 24 degrees Gemini at 8:50 am Tuesday, July 1.
Yay! Some of you out there hardly breathe until Mercury goes direct
again, so now you can finally exhale. Let's hope you learned some
previously unrevealed details about whatever issues concern you. I
know that I have gone through a period of temporary fixes and the
long-term solution will go into effect on the day that Mercury just
happens to go direct. So I couldn't hold my breath and refuse to make
any decisions. What happened was that I put in the temporary fix, but
went for help in finding something else that might save me money and
still protect my interests.
The Sun at 12 degrees
Cancer opposes Pluto in Capricorn at 4 am Friday. This
is the kind of transit that calls on us to dig deep for inner
resources and fortitude to overcome obstacles. And yet, if you are
trying to “fight City Hall” you may have to throw in the towel
and accept defeat. If this contacts personal planets especially the
Sun or Mars, you might truly have to fight for your life. On the
positive side, you have the chance to clear the air, get to the
bottom of whatever is a stumbling block in a relationship, and start
afresh. Since Pluto is also symbolic of transformation, this is also
an opportunity to remake yourself, make vital changes in your life
now that you see what must be done.

Readers
can follow not only their Sun sign horoscope but also their Ascendant
for further clues to how your week will develop. NOTE: some aspects
are exact on a weekend but may find opportunity for expression on the
Friday or Monday nearest the exact aspect. Times given are in Eastern
Standard or Eastern Daylight Savings Time depending on the season.
ARIES
- March 20-April 19 – Monday afternoon finds you in a
friendly game with friends, or offering a friendly wager on a sports
event. Tuesday's Mercury station in your solar third house brings a
rain of messages tumbling all over each other so take time to read
every one and sort them out. Relationship issues burst into arguments
Saturday pm; make a point of showing up for major events and being
mutually supportive or seek counseling.
TAURUS
- April 20-May 20 – Financial matters may finally go forward
as Mercury turns direct on Tuesday; you get things straightened out
and on a better footing, and probably will save some money in the
bargain. You may be able to borrow a few bucks from a pal Saturday
morning. Health matters may suddenly demand attention Saturday pm so
do not delay seeing your practitioner.
GEMINI
- May 21-June 20 – Sunday's Venus square Neptune is also
conjunct Juno in your sign; you may be very confused or worried about
relationship status but this should get cleared up pretty quickly.
Mercury goes direct at 24 degrees of your sign on Tuesday morning;
expect a backlog of messages to suddenly be dumped in your lap. It
might be best to read all messages before responding. It would be
prudent to delay any financial decisions until midweek. You may find
someone who can trade favors with you Saturday morning.
CANCER
- June 21-July 22 – It would be prudent to delay making
decisions until midweek, or whenever updated facts can be gathered.
You may succeed in getting that moneybags hubby of yours to give you
a few bucks Wednesday at dinner. A family member may secretly do you
a favor Saturday morning.
LEO
- July 23-Aug. 22 – The Moon is in Leo from 4:43 am Sunday
till Tuesday evening. The Moon in Leo sextiles Venus Sunday night,
putting a glow on social gatherings with friends; however do keep an
eye on their drinking since you may have to close the bar early. You
will probably have to keep the nose to the grindstone Monday, but the
evening looks energetic – you might get in a few rounds of
basketball before dinner. Early risers catch messages at the office
that would otherwise have gone to the voicemail.
VIRGO
- Aug. 23-Sept. 22 – The Moon is in Virgo from 5:24 pm
Tuesday till Friday morning. Thursday fireworks may or may not go off
without a hitch due to the timing mechanism being off a bit;
nevertheless you enjoy being out with boon companions. You may be
able to borrow a few bucks from a pal Saturday morning.
LIBRA
- Sept. 23-Oct. 22 – The Moon is in Libra from 5:43 am
Friday till next Sunday afternoon. The office may be snowed under
with a backlog of messages Tuesday, so you might have to stay late.
Friday fireworks displays will probably be quite artistic, so bring a
camera along to the show. Mid-morning Saturday favors time spent with
dear ones, or concentrating on creative projects. The afternoon and
evening can be emotionally explosive so remember to count ten before
shooting off your mouth.
SCORPIO
- Oct. 23-Nov. 21 – Insurance matters and any other eighth
house stuff gets straightened out by the time Mercury goes direct
Tuesday; you could save a bit of money in the bargain, too. Health
matters may suddenly demand attention Saturday pm so do not delay
seeing your practitioner.
SAGITTARIUS
- Nov. 22-Dec. 21 – Relationship matters are improved by the
time Mercury goes direct on Tuesday, so you might even celebrate this
weekend with some fireworks of your own. Friends may not be
supportive of your creative efforts or of all the time you are
spending at classes or rehearsals, especially on Saturday.
CAPRICORN
- Dec. 22-Jan. 19 - The office may be snowed under with a
backlog of messages Tuesday, so you might have to stay late. Saturday
pm focuses tensions on trying to juggle demands of career and family;
try to make time for loved ones and make a point of attending as many
family events as possible.
AQUARIUS
- Jan. 20-Feb. 17 – Prudence may demand you delay decisions
about children until at least midweek when messages are confirmed,
etc. Get-togethers with dear ones are favored for Saturday; try to
organize a picnic or a morning outing with children.
PISCES
- Feb. 18-March 19 – Family matters or housing issues should
be ironed out by the time Mercury goes direct on Tuesday; celebrate
with a family gathering for the holiday at your place. Saturday
morning favors working on creative pursuits to exercise your artistic
muscles. Saturday pm raises financial tensions and arguments over
money; work out that budget and keep to it.

Your Milky Way Horoscope Feb. 23 – March 1, 2014
By
Milky Way Maid
The
Sun and Neptune are conjunct at 5 degrees Pisces at 1:11 pm Sunday.
As I was saying in last week's column, perhaps you ought to let
someone else drive; it is way too easy for you to get confused and
lost today. To put it another way, you probably couldn't find your
way out of a paper bag. It is a good day for shooting yourself in the
foot, literally or metaphorically, so leave new matters for another
time. In some ways it can be an expression of the anxious or confused
energies around you, which you have absorbed like a psychic sponge.
It may be good to reinforce a kind of protective blue aura around
yourself.
Venus
at 23 degrees Capricorn sextiles Saturn in Scorpio at 11:50 pm
Monday.
One interpretation is “kind advice” – which to me is the best
type of advice to give. If one of the planets is in a money house, it
may bring an opportunity to earn what you need. If one of the planets
is in a career house, it can help you schmooze with the movers and
shakers in your corner of the world.
Jupiter
at 10 Cancer squares Uranus in Aries at 2:33 am Wednesday.
This aspect is basically generational but can be quite disruptive in
one's personal chart. You may feel like you are on a roller-coaster
ride. You may feel like you were “born to be wild” while at the
same time reporting as usual to a button-down job. You may burn a
bridge or two, hopeful that you can now journey to a land where the
grass is really greener.
Mercury
makes its Direct Station at 18 degrees 10' Aquarius at exactly 9 am
Friday.
Yeah, I can see you breaking out the confetti and balloons. I hope
you have taken the opportunity to clear the air (since it occurs in
air sign Aquarius) and put communications on a solid footing, with
all parties on the same page. If you have Mercury retrograde in your
natal chart, you may have enjoyed a vacation from miscommunications
or internal chatter.
The
Sun at 10 degrees Pisces trines Jupiter in Cancer at 11:05 pm Friday.
Luck can land in your lap under this transit, or maybe you are
king/queen for a day. Try not to be too haughty! Travel is generally
favored since you are optimistic and open-minded, ready to make
friends wherever you go. It is a good day for visualizing a better
life in every way. I must add, however, that sometimes a Jupiter
transit contacting your personal planets is more protective than
lucky, although given the current economic realities, protection of
your main source of income is very lucky indeed.
Mars
makes a Retrograde Station at 23 degrees 32' Libra at 11:24 am
Saturday.
Just as Mercury gives us a chance to correct erroneous thinking, Mars
retrograde gives us a chance to change bad health habits, possibly
because you are forced to by some health wake-up call. If this is
close to natal planets, your energy may be low, so make sure to get
enough rest. You may have difficulty with sports, competition in
general, or with expressing anger or standing up for yourself. On the
plus side, it is easier to count ten before responding with
inappropriate anger. On the minus side, you may let resentments
fester until you explode later; to fester is BAD, do not fester.
Depleted physical energy can make it harder to heal, slower to
recover from ordinary infections, fevers, injuries. You may find it
helpful during this time (and for the long term) to take up some yoga
exercises, if only some breathing exercises, to help your body
recharge its battery.

for further clues to how your week will develop. NOTE: some aspects
are exact on a weekend but may find opportunity for expression on the
Friday or Monday nearest the exact aspect. Times given are in Eastern
Standard or Eastern Daylight Savings Time depending on the season.
ARIES
- March 20-April 19 – Monday night is definitely a time to
schmooze with the higher-ups at the company. On Wednesday Uranus in
your sign squares Jupiter, when the roller-coaster ride you have been
on these past several months takes a spin and a jerk. The Mercury
station occurs in your solar eleventh house Friday morning; make sure
that friends are clear on who is meeting whom and where and what. A
profitable role with a family business may fall into your lap Friday
night; get all the details before deciding.
TAURUS
- April 20-May 20 - The Mercury station occurs in your solar
tenth house Friday morning; check with the boss that his memo says
what he meant it to say. Your guardian angel may prevent a traffic
accident Friday night, but buckle up anyway. The Mars retrograde on
Saturday affects your health sector; you may need to rest more, or
find a regimen that helps charge up your inner battery. Ceres enters
your solar seventh house of partners, where a quiet and mutual
nurturing strengthens the bond between you.
GEMINI
- May 21-June 20 – Geminis are generally unhappy while their
ruler Mercury is retrograde, so the Direct Station is probably a
federal holiday as far as you are concerned. Undoubtedly you will
pick up where you left off, in mid-sentence while conversing with
Aunt Jane... Career matters look confused for the long-term, unless
you are working for a non-profit or humanitarian concern. You discuss
your needs with a romantic partner, possibly with the help of a
counselor.
CANCER
- June 21-July 22 – Mars goes retrograde in your fourth
house on Saturday; there may be problems with the heating system or
with a stove, so have the phone numbers of repairmen handy. Shakeups
in the career sector may affect you very personally, as Uranus
squares Jupiter; you may wonder if the grass is greener elsewhere.
Ceres enters your solar fifth house, spurring you to spend time
outdoors or bring the outdoors inside. Ceres in your fifth house also
can coincide with the adoption of a child, either of the two-legged
or the four-legged-and-furry variety.
LEO
- July 23-Aug. 22 – Mercury goes direct Friday in your house
of partners, so take the opportunity to get on the same page again
with your mate, as you synchronize your watches. Mars goes retrograde
in your solar third house Saturday, where you lack the energy to make
the rounds of daily errands and meetings; get copies of the meeting
minutes, and do as much as possible via email and fax. NOTE: Pallas
is about to retrograde back into your sign, so be prepared to finesse
every situation and know instinctively how to approach others in a
way that instills confidence in you.
VIRGO
- Aug. 23-Sept. 22 – Pallas is still in your sign tho
retrograding back into Leo in March, so if you need to wrap up any
consulting jobs please do so promptly. If you are having problems
with a newish partner, possibly someone who is not completely honest
with you, be aware that this is a long-term situation and not
something that is going away soon; do not sign over any power of
attorney or similar legal powers. On the plus side, Ceres has entered
your solar second house of finances and that should help you to grow
your bank account. But right now Mars goes retrograde in your money
house, where you are hit by fees, commissions or taxes; demand a full
quote before signing papers with contractors.
LIBRA
- Sept. 23-Oct. 22 – A family member may help you find a way
to earn some extra money Monday. Vesta is almost conjunct Mars in
your sign and next week it will go retrograde, retracing its steps,
and therefore will not leave your sign until the beginning of August.
Vesta with Mars this week should spur you to find an outlet for your
physical energies; since Libra is a natural dancer, that might be
your ticket to fitness. Vesta in Libra tends to sacrifice itself for
the sake of the partner, and your lesson is to learn to state your
own needs in a loving way.
SCORPIO
- Oct. 23-Nov. 21 – Definitely schmooze with the higher-ups
at the company you work at (or wish to work at) mid-week. The Mercury
station occurs in your solar fourth house Friday morning; check out a
company's reputation before signing contracts for repairs. Mars goes
retrograde Saturday in your solar twelfth house, when you want to
recharge your batteries at the retreat or a rustic cabin hideaway.
Ceres enters your sign and gives you a certain spartan yet classic
quality to your style, also making you more dedicated to creating a
house beautiful.
SAGITTARIUS
- Nov. 22-Dec. 21 – The Moon is in Sag from Sunday till
Monday morn. On Sunday you may have an opportunity to play the
gallant knight by assisting some poor stranded traveler. You put
something extra into your early morning jog Monday. The Mercury
station occurs in your solar third house Friday morning; think before
putting mouth in gear. Mars goes retrograde in your solar eleventh
house of groups; you may feel like your friends drain your energy,
and need to get away to the mountains and wilderness to recharge.
CAPRICORN
- Dec. 22-Jan. 19 – The Moon is in Capricorn from 8:50 am
Monday till Wednesday morn. It is easy to fall in love with your mate
all over again Monday night. Monday ends with dispensing or receiving
some kind advice. You are in Power Mode Tuesday morning. On Wednesday
morning it is too easy to zip thru a task only to find that it has to
be redone. The Mercury station occurs in your solar second house
Friday morning; check your bank balance before writing just one more
check.
AQUARIUS
- Jan. 20-Feb. 17 – The Moon is in Aquarius from 9:55 am
Wednesday till Friday morn. You talk out your feelings at the
breakfast table Thursday. Schedule uninterrupted work time for midday
Thursday. Early risers Friday can ride out the day on a burst of
energy, although the Mercury station in your sign that morning calls
for some caution and safety awareness. Ceres enters your solar tenth
house of career, and makes you a good administrator. Mars goes
retrograde in your solar ninth house, and legal matters may be
delayed or put on hold.
PISCES
- Feb. 18-March 19 – The Moon is in Pisces from 9:53 am
Friday till mid-morning next Sunday, March 2. The Mercury station
occurs in your solar twelfth house Friday morning; it is very easy to
shoot yourself in the foot, so think before speaking. Your feelings
are apt to be very confused Friday night. On Saturday you awaken
convinced that you can accomplish anything that day. You may enjoy a
heart-to-heart chat late Saturday. Juno in your sign is inconjunct
Vesta and Mars in Libra; you may clash with your partner over sexual
issues and this ought to get resolved with the help of some couples
counseling.

Your Milky Way Horoscope Nov. 10-16, 2013
By
Milky Way Maid
Mercury goes direct
at 4:12 pm Sunday, Nov. 10 at 2 degrees 32' of Scorpio. By
this time you may have stumbled upon some information that you were
not supposed to find out, or anyway, info that explains a small
mystery in your life. A past event may prove to be the deeply rooted
trauma that prevents you from moving forward in some way, and now
that you have brought it to the light, it no longer has power over
you.
A forward-moving
Mercury trines confusing Neptune at 2 degrees Pisces at 3:48 pm
Monday. Mercury and Neptune do
not get along too well, even with a trine aspect. It becomes TOO EASY
to get confused, to get scammed, to lose you way or lose your wallet,
to be worried out of your mind. Try selecting an affirmation to
conquer a fear (Neptune), or sessions of altered consciousness like
hypnosis or meditation to resolve or dissolve old programming.
The Sun at 20 degrees
Scorpio trines retrograde Jupiter in Cancer at 11:39 am Tuesday. A
lot of benefits are ascribed to a Sun-Jupiter trine, but more often
it merely lends a screen of protection around one's person. You may
lose one job, but financial supports or other income kick in and you
manage to pay your bills. Or, you lose an apartment but find shelter
with relatives or other friends. Since Jupiter just went retrograde
last week, it is yet virtually at a standstill and exerting
especially strong power in this transit. You could be thrust into the
limelight under this transit, if it falls on an angle in your natal
chart.
Neptune
makes its Direct Station on 2 degrees, 35' Pisces at 1:43 pm
Wednesday. I
wish to quote extensively from Dane Rudhyar's brilliant chapter on
Neptune (in An
Astrological Triptych)
to explain the influences of this planet and effects of the
stations---
“The
Neptunian era that followed during the nineteenth century actually
built the substance of our modern society – its machines, it
industries, its commerce and travel – but it built upon the
intellectual foundations of scientific materialism. It built upon
spiritual scarcity and upon the power vested in the remnants of
ancient feudalism to corner the more abundant life under the cloak of
rugged individualism. Neptune is the wholesale builder of collective
substance. Its power of proliferation is immense, but it builds only
according to man's attitude toward Uranian creativeness. If this
attitude is one of resistance to the unfamiliar New, of fear before
the revealed Glory, of weary withdrawal into the Saturnian shells of
social security and privilege, then Neptune's power of growth leads
to the senseless mushrooming forth of hectic cities, tabloid
newspapers, glamor-crazy motion pictures, murder-storied radios,
(hallucinogenic) drugs – and to generalized cancerous conditions
due to unorganic living and unnatural habits of physical or
psychological feeding.
“Neptune, nevertheless, in its
true positive being, is the substantiality of the spirit. Neptune is
the substance of creative space, the astral light, the Ocean of
spiritual Sound, the encompassing gift-waves of divine grace the
all-inclusive charity of the compassionate ones. Is it the divine
Substance which feeds what the Uranian spirit has aroused into
creative being. . .
“In the physical body, this power
is the source whence are derived the antibodies, white corpuscles,
and special hormones or enzymes which are sent through the blood to
heal and purify whatever part of the organism has been injured or
exhausted. At the level of the great spiritual organism that may be
called Man, this Neptunian power is Grace (Charis) – Grace which
comes to every soul that has recognized and accepted its
participation in the 'works if the spirit', and its companionship in
the mystic Christ with all that is of the spirit.
“To the individual limited and
bound within the structures of his ego, the universe as a whole
answers as Karma, the Mosaic Law of exact compensation. But to him
whose soul has become a hallowed shrine for the Living God, whose
circumference of self includes potentially the whole universe, whose
mind establishes its formulations in terms of the reconciliation of
all opposites, leaving nothing outside of its all-inclusive
multi-dimensional logic – to him God answers as grace. Though his
path be strewn with collective obstacles and harsh memories of his
individual past, he is nevertheless secure – with the only security
that is of value, the security that comes from being the Whole in
active expression at one point, and this point, one's immortal self.
“This faith in Grace is the
Neptunian consequence of a courageously met and assimilated
confrontation with Uranus and its creative transfigurations. The two
factors cannot be separated, and both are expressions of an utterly
changed conscious relationship to spirit and to God, its cosmic
Source. Spirit is the 'universal creative' not in the sense of it
being the builder of worlds and physical organisms, but because it is
that constant harmonic Motion which emanates and releases incessantly
whatever is necessary to compensate for and to harmonize any
disturbance in the equilibrium of the universal Whole. Spirit creates
solutions to every need – including that vast solution to the need
of chaos which we understand as universe or solar system. Every human
birth, considered as the release of an immortal self can be
harmonized and balanced by the potentiality of a victorious future,
is a solution presented by the spirit. Every birth-chart is a plan
for regeneration an individual creation of the spirit, a logos sent
by the Father to save a portion of humanity. . .
“Grace comes to pervade the soul
that has left behind the sense of individual lack inherent in the
nature of the ego. As an ego, man knows himself apart from the
spiritual Whole; as a soul, he experiences himself a part of this
spiritual Whole. In and through this experience he becomes actually
and consciously suffused with the vitality of the Whole. He partakes
of the Blood of the Whole, of the creative substance of the spirit –
the mystic Wine and Bread. He partakes of the Eucharist – the
perfect gift of Grace – as the cell of the body partakes of the
vital essences and the healing chemicals of the forever flowing blood
in which it lives and has its being.
“This is the life more abundant,
the life in Grace; a life from which has vanished the gnawing sense
of frustration and lack, and the regrets or remorse of ego-bondage,
ego-fulfillment and ego-conditioned tragedies; a life now filled with
the presence of the unfolding God-seed within the soul and with the
downflow of Grace this unfoldment summons because it requires it. It
is also the life of charity, for charity is man's only true way of
responding to the charismal gift of the spirit, Grace. Faith in the
creative power of the spirit, Hope that the Transfiguration shall
come and find us fully awake to behold this 'marriage of heaven and
earth'; and the greatest of all, Charity to men everywhere – in the
name of the spirit.
“True charity (agape) can only be,
at the level of still ego-bound men and women, the pouring out of
what the traveler on the Illumined Road has received as Grace. The
man flooded with Grace must give charity, which is perfect love, if
he is to receive greater spiritual abundance in his soul; but that
charity can only be true to the spirit, if it comes indeed from the
divine spirit, even though it be released through the individual man.
To give out charity means, first of all, to experience oneself as an
agent of the spirit, as a focusing of the divine Whole. Charity is
not of the ego, but of God through the ego transformed into soul. It
is as the soul overflows with Grace that the whole organism of the
spirit-illumined man or woman is also able to radiate charity. The
gifts of a privileged nation filled with earthly goods, egocentricity
and collective self-complacency can be bitter to the peoples ravaged
by a catastrophe for which the whole o humanity is responsible.
“Yet it was as the
presence of Neptune became revealed to Western man that society at
large began to respond to the call of mercy and humanitarianism, and
even the most egocentric business baron found it necessary to
henceforth to bestow the social semblance of charity to the victims
of the system that had enthroned him...”
Venus at 9 degrees
Capricorn squares Uranus in Aries at 8:13 pm Thursday. Venus-Uranus
aspects seem to always involve meeting foreigners or unusual people
who shift you out of your comfort zone. These are almost always
short-lived relationships, even the romantic involvements. The
Uranian person serves his purpose and moves on . . . Sometimes this
aspect accompanies a sudden job change.
Venus at 9 degrees
Capricorn is conjunct intense Pluto at 4:30 pm Friday.
The conjunction (and the square) are often aspects of obsession,
especially romantic obsession. Sometimes comes with meeting one's
Soul Mate. It may just bring intense experiences in that department
of your life. Capricorn is not a very romantic kind of guy, so maybe
it will take the form of a transformation (Pluto) of his financial
(Venus) condition.
Looking Ahead – We
have a Full Moon at 25 degrees Taurus at 10:16 am Sunday, Nov. 17 –
this is way too close to the dreaded Algol for my comfort, tho
Jupiter is in a kindly and protective trine to the Sun.

for further clues to how your week will develop. NOTE: some aspects
are exact on a weekend but may find opportunity for expression on the
Friday or Monday nearest the exact aspect. Times given are in Eastern
Standard or Eastern Daylight Savings Time depending on the season.
ARIES
- March 20-April 19 – The Moon is in Aries from 2:39 am
Wednesday till Friday morning. Avoid shopping after work Wednesday.
Someone really gets your goat Wednesday night. A good laugh
accompanies dinner, possibly at a comedy club. It is too easy to
overdo Thursday afternoon. On Thursday night, a new Someone finds you
exotic and fascinating. By Friday afternoon you may be totally
bonkers for one of those new friends. Friday is also an
all-or-nothing day career-wise.
TAURUS
- April 20-May 20 –
Wednesday's Neptune station in your eleventh house may accent
impossible hopes and dreams, just make sure to build a solid
foundation under them. The Moon is in Taurus from 9:49 am
Friday into next Sunday. A friend may tempt you to play hookey from
work Friday afternoon, but you know better than that. A dear one may
offer Saturday to pay your way so you can accompany him or her on a
long trip. On Saturday afternoon, you feel like your companion is
cramping your style.
GEMINI
- May 21-June 20 – The
first half of the week finds much activity in the workplace. Watch
out for gossip that affects your professional reputation Monday. A
coworker may be lucky for you Tuesday. Neptune goes direct in your
career sector Wednesday; keywords include Charity, Grace, Altruism,
and Mercy. Insurance issues and prices are under consideration
Friday. Saturday afternoon may find you visiting elders in the
hospital; take a book to loan out.
CANCER
- June 21-July 22 – Your
mate does you a favor and takes one of the kids to school Monday
morning. Monday afternoon might actually be a highly favorable time
for a bull session; write down any old pipe dream that pops into your
head. You get to play the hero Tuesday. Your mate enjoys putting on a
fake accent to make you laugh Thursday. Try to avoid making
power grabs in relationships Friday. You may not like your instructor
in the Saturday art class at first, but I think you will learn a
great deal in the course.
LEO
- July 23-Aug. 22 – Pay
something forward Monday morning. Family issues are high on the
agenda this week. A family member helps you find a favorable
insurance policy Wednesday. The news may be very inspiring mid-week.
Be very careful what kind of gossip you feed the rumor mill at work
Friday. Playing practical jokes is on your mind Saturday, but think
twice.
VIRGO
- Aug. 23-Sept. 22 – You
can have fun Tuesday generating a list of ideas for later evaluation.
Midweek can mark a turning point in realizing you have a psychic
connection with your child. A coworker can upset you terribly
on Wednesday, or make you laugh yourself silly. You realize your baby
is growing up Friday. Saturday may be your best day of the week, when
a mentor and a relative play a part in an idea-generating bull
session.
LIBRA
- Sept. 23-Oct. 22 – On
Monday you may have to track down a lost paycheck or misplaced office
funds; it may be in a drawer. An altruistic, sharing spirit infuses
the workplace from midweek. An addition to the family may be
announced Friday.
SCORPIO
- Oct. 23-Nov. 21 – Your sign is very active all week.
Mercury goes direct in Scorpio Sunday; shake the tree for some more
of those details you wanted. Mercury then trines Neptune Monday;
hypnotize yourself into believing you can do it. Sun in Scorpio
trines Jove Tuesday; success! A coworker introduces you to a new,
rather strange, friend on Thursday. Be extra careful online Friday.
On Saturday try to let up on your partner a bit, because he or she is
feeling cramped.
SAGITTARIUS
- Nov. 22-Dec. 21 – The Moon is void all day Tuesday so
stick to routine matters. Neptune goes direct in your fourth house of
family on Wednesday; give even the little tykes a disposable camera
and orders to take pictures – assemble the results in a scrapbook.
Finances can be shaken up Friday; be sure to have cash on hand until
the tyme machine is fixed. You might visit sick relatives in the
hospital Saturday.
CAPRICORN
- Dec. 22-Jan. 19 – Tuesday
might be favorable for a vacation day when you take the family on the
road to a rustic campground. A family member gets everyone laughing
at the dinner table Wednesday – have everyone share funny stories
or jokes. Thursday night brings fascinating or even strange
new people in your life. It gets even better on Friday when you meet
a Soul Mate. You enjoy talking about characters from the family
history Saturday morning.
AQUARIUS
- Jan. 20-Feb. 17 – The Moon is in Aquarius from Sunday morn
till Sunday night. The Moon is void all day Sunday till it enters
Pisces, so stick to routine matters. Your ruler Uranus shakes up the
life of a potential loved one; visit relatives who may be shocked yet
fascinated by your strangeness. You may find a financial backer
Friday. On Saturday you enjoy a quiet family getaway, possibly at a
campground.
PISCES
- Feb. 18-March 19 – The Moon is in Pisces from 9:36 pm
Sunday till Wednesday morning. Monday morning favors having breakfast
with a dear friend, or sharing the commute. Monday afternoon includes
meeting with your mentor. Best day may be Tuesday morning, when Jove
is good for luck and good for you personally. But Tuesday p.m. hours
are only suited to routine matters. You want to give your mentor a
special thank-you Friday.

Your Milky Way Horoscope July 14-20, 2013
By
Milky Way Maid
We have an
interesting week, astrologically speaking.
We have two planetary stations – Uranus goes retrograde and Mercury
goes direct. Then we have not just one Grand Trine in water signs,
but a series of Grand Trines being triggered as two planets become
exact at any one time.
First
up – the Uranus retrograde station
will be at 1:20 pm Wednesday, at 12 degrees 31' of Aries. Where will
that fall in your chart, and will it contact any natal or progressed
planets for you? It will make major aspects to two of my natal
planets, so it will be interesting to see what transpires. Dane
Rudhyar says that Uranus stations express an ego that becomes an
expression of “the God whose countenance is now at least dimly
perceived – The Star in the sky has become the pulsating heart of
the Christ-child within the utterly renewed human person.”
He also
says that at times “the Uranian challenge to ego-structures and
social-religious privileges . . . is perceived as a kind of
Visitation from the spirit – It may be a vision, a summons to
action, a sudden realization of the next step to be taken or of the
distant goal.” Uranus is the power of the Annunciation, or of a
Transfiguration that allows spiritual light to shine from within.
Uranus can throw off the base matrix stone that encases the brilliant
diamond of the soul.
Stephanie
Clement says of the Uranus retrograde period that “you can expect
the unexpected. Things are subject to sudden fluctuation and you may
be feeling a bit stubborn, rebellious, your emotions explosive and
uncooperative toward anyone or anything that represents the status
quo.” [for her complete article please, go to
http://www.skyviewzone.com/astrology/retrogradeplanets.htm]
I
should also add that when Uranus has a station, whether
retrograde or direct, things can be rather chaotic or even manic.
Mercury
goes direct at 2:22 pm Saturday, at 13 degrees 23' of Cancer.
Note that this is square the Uranus station, so if you have natal
planets in aspect to the one, you will likely feel another whack on
the side of the head when the other makes its station. We have
covered Mercury retrogrades several times already, but in summary,
the retrograde gives you time to correct your thinking, try a
different formula, find the error and fix it, or find out new
information that causes a re-evaluation of the situation. Also,
people may find that it is easier to write things down than to
communicate verbally.
Jupiter makes two
trines Wednesday – Jove trines Saturn at 1:32 pm, and trines
Neptune at 8:16 pm. They are at
4 degrees, 50-some minutes of the water signs. The Moon in Scorpio
trines Jupiter and Neptune on Tuesday. The Saturn-Neptune trine
becomes exact at 9:28 am Friday. Mars gets into the act on Saturday,
trining Neptune at 3:43 pm, and then Saturn at 5:34 pm. The Moon in
Capricorn sextiles Neptune and Saturn the same day, and opposes Mars
and Jupiter late that night. (Mars won't be conjunct Jupiter until
next Monday.)
So you can see that the
Grand Trine is continually urging new beginnings on many of us this
week – which also means that we may have to say good-bye to
something first. Good-byes and losses are part of the Neptune dynamic
– sometimes translated as “easy come, easy go”! So if that part
applies to you, I hope that you took the opportunity to make good use
of the good that came into your life to get on your feet again.

Friday or Monday nearest the exact aspect. Times given are in Eastern

ARIES
- March 20-April 19 – Sunday may be stressful, and end with
a bit of a power struggle. Monday night is perfect for a dinner out
or for loving family times. Wednesday and indeed most of the week
favors a family getaway. A friend may provide surprising insights
this month. A joy and a boon can arrive by the weekend. Mercury's
direct station on Saturday can deliver some surprising information.
Be careful who you confide in this week.
TAURUS
- April 20-May 20 – Ruler
Venus receives loving support Monday and midday Saturday. Ceres in
your solar fourth house may find you trying out more new recipes and
storing summer's bounty in the freezer. If you have not partnered up
with someone at work by now, do so in a hurry, in order take
advantage of Juno's energy in your solar tenth house. Visit ailing
friends. Organizations which had previously supported you may
suddenly withdraw that support, or your position may be eliminated.
GEMINI
- May 21-June 20 – There is
a great deal of energy in your solar second house, with Mars-Jupiter,
Mercury and the Sun; you have many resources to draw upon to improve
your earning power. One avenue may be creative writing, because Ceres
in your solar third demands expression. Friends can be relied upon
for laughs, and come back from vacations with the best stories to
tell. Career matters may suffer reverses this week, but you
will likely bounce back next week.
CANCER
- June 21-July 22 – Pallas is entering your sign; attempts
to logically analyze feelings will likely come to naught. However,
your executive abilities may come to the fore. You can come up with
creative ways to get new income streams going this summer, possibly
renting out seldom-used equipment. Saturn in your solar fifth house
indicates photography as a hobby, odd as that may sound. The water
signs can ride emotional highs and lows this week; put your
sensitivity to good use in artistic expression and in relationships.
LEO
- July 23-Aug. 22 – Ceres in Leo is trined by the Uranus
station in Aries on Wednesday; you may find that creative work with
the hands is very rewarding – consider pottery or sculpture. Vesta
is in your sign until mid-September; this can make you even more
closed-minded. Now don't be that way, Leo; be magnanimous enough to
concede that others may possess a sliver of the truth! Joint finances
are not favored this week; get advice from others rather than
trusting your own judgment just now, or put things on hold.
VIRGO
- Aug. 23-Sept. 22 – You may find it helpful to buddy up
with a pal for jogging around the neighborhood. Opportunities to
teach may open up at local schools or the college extension. You have
great energy to offer local non-profits or other local groups, so get
into volunteering. You may enjoy a seminar or retreat focused on
creative arts this summer. You may find your mate's emotionalism this
week a bit hard to deal with.
LIBRA
- Sept. 23-Oct. 22 – The Moon is in Libra from 3:41 am
Sunday till Tuesday morning. The Moon receives nothing but squares on
Sunday, which might ignite your “I'll show you!” sense of
determination to get things done. Friends offer favors and pats on
the back Monday and Saturday. You have to bite your tongue to keep
from mentioning the M word to your beau, at least until September.
Meanwhile, careful attention to your health needs will keep ailments
from stealing your summer from you.
SCORPIO
- Oct. 23-Nov. 21 – The Moon is in Scorpio from 10:24 am
Tuesday till midday Thursday. Tuesday night would be so great with
those trines to Jove and Neptune, except for a depressing conjunction
to Saturn – but you just get your head on straight and square your
shoulders, and march right up there. Mid-morning Wednesday brings an
offer to help but nail that down before Mercury goes retro on
Saturday. Jove makes his Grand Trine to Saturn in your sign and to
Neptune, so put that emotional sensitivity to good use.
SAGITTARIUS
- Nov. 22-Dec. 21 – The Moon is in Sag from 1:54 pm Thursday
till Saturday afternoon. Your thinking may be confused late Thursday
night; maybe you better sleep on it. You really would like to carpool
with someone, but its been hard pairing up with anyone. Housing
issues continue to plague you, with moisture problems top of the
list. You greatly enjoy foreign friends or the beau with the
delightful foreign accent. Be careful to pay all proper fees and
taxes, or that could bite you late on.
CAPRICORN
- Dec. 22-Jan. 19 – Sunday is a stressful day for various
reasons, plus it can end in a bit of a power struggle. You can get a
lot done by working with a group Tuesday afternoon. The Moon is in
Capricorn from 2:39 pm Saturday thru the weekend. You amuse others on
your morning coffee break Friday. You are awfully tempted to take off
early for the weekend. Midday Saturday you may be surprised by how
much people really care about you.
AQUARIUS
- Jan. 20-Feb. 17 – Juno is at the midway point in your sign
now; by now you probably have definite mixed feelings about your
independent and outspoken partner. Money seems to leak away lately;
track all expenses and look for tips in cutting expenses. Relatives
have hilarious stories to tell about their trips and family life.
Your creative works may finally be ready for a showing. Personal
finances are not favored this week; get advice from others rather
than trusting your own judgment, or put things on hold.
PISCES
- Feb. 18-March 19 – Money comes in spurts and squirts
lately; analyze how to keep a steady stream coming in. You may be
dating an athlete, or at least someone very energetic and talkative.
You could get very creative about applying massage and other health
techniques to yourself. The water signs can ride emotional highs and
lows this week; put your sensitivity to good use in artistic
expression and in relationships. Watch your step at all times; make
sure walkways are well-lit.

January 15, 2010 A Very Eventful Day in Astrology: Mercury Direct and a Solar Eclipse with Venus
by Milky Way Maid
I had to send out this bulletin because I hardly touched on the Annular Solar Eclipse of Jan. 15 in my regular weekly column. This will serve as the “What Will 2010 Bring to You?” article that I promised at the end of 2009. Not only does it kick off the first month of the new year and new decade, the eclipse is conjunct Venus, and the day also sees Mercury go direct. Talk about multi-tasking! There are portents affecting love, business (especially Big Business), government, transit, mail and email and all the other communications and tele-communications that tie our world together, and probably all the transfers of money that go on every second from one bank on one side of the world to another bank on the opposite side of the world. This is reiterated by the fact that the chart has Capricorn straddling the second and third houses in a chart set for Washington DC or even for a midwest location.
The eclipse is at 25 degrees 2 minutes CAPRICORN. It is the longest annular eclipse to occur this century with a duration of 11 minutes 08 seconds. The eclipse point is at one degree Capricorn, in the Vedic or sidereal system. The eclipse will begin at 05:14 Universal Time (UT) and end at 08:59 UT. This is about 2 hours and 45 minutes, and by some rules of thumb, that means that this eclipse's immediate effects will last nearly three months; its long-term effects may last nearly three years. And because Capricorn is a cardinal sign, you may actually start having 'events' in your life as much as six weeks ahead of the eclipse.
Those with planets conjunct the eclipse may feel a 'stop' signal in their lives. They may get a message from the Universe that they are not on the right track to getting what it is they want, or rather what is the best thing for them. Capricorn, as a very practical sign anyway, and at 25 degrees it is a very practical, here-and-now phase of that or any sign, and the conclusion I make is that this eclipse carries messages about what is actually working or going to work for you -- not what you wish would work, or what ought to work according to some textbook.
BTW according to another astrologer, the ascendant of the Federal Reserve is 24 degrees Capricorn. So we ought to keep an eye on any hints in the news about whether the role of this institution is in for a shakeup or alteration in any way. Has having a Federal Reserve actually worked for the United States?? Are we better off with it or without it? Those are questions that require a hard look and honest answers.
Much is being made of the fact that this eclipse contacts President Obama's Saturn exactly, which is positioned in the twelfth house. It is also widely conjunct his Jupiter a zero degrees Aquarius. In addition, the eclipse also contacts the 26 Capricorn Midheaven of the Jan. 2009 inauguration chart. He may have to deliver some bad-tasting medicine, you might say, to the American public. He may have to make some hard choices that he wished he did not have to make. And he may have to come clean about some sweetheart deals to Big Business or Big Banks in last year's bailout bills. These are all going to bring him down to the level of mere mortals instead of Chosen Ones, but hey, we are being called to deal with practical realities not textbook examples by this eclipse in practical Capricorn.
Mercury, which goes direct the same day, is conjunct Pluto in the second house and square Saturn in the eleventh house. Delays and misunderstandings may rule the day, so postpone signing contracts or holding important meetings or speeches. We are not saying you should stay home and hide under your blanket, but be aware this is a better day for bringing up matters for clarification rather than uttering final pronouncements.
And many of those matters will certainly be related to money and/or love, since Venus is standing at the side of the Sun-Moon wedding. Let you and your honey have a real heart-to-heart over what is really important to both of you. It is much more important, for example, to have a low-key date every week (say, at the local soda shop over a nice ice cream sundae) rather than a big, expensive vacation once a year. And maybe if you are able to meet each other at the soul level, all those other mis-communications will resolve themselves.
Readers may go to http://www.shadowandsubstance.com/ to view a nice animation of the eclipse path as it begins over the Congo basin of Africa, progresses to Nairobi, crosses the Indian Ocean to touch the southern tip of India, then goes on to Mandalay and China.
What does an eclipse in Capricorn and conjunct Venus portend? Most of the answer to that question will come from your natal chart and which house is affected, and whether there are any natal planets affected by conjunction or other aspects.
ARIES: The eclipse falls in your solar tenth house of career and reputation. Venus high in your chart certainly gives you a very good chance at earning more cash this year. The North Node is also very near the eclipse, and promises that the events that transpire in 2010 will be favorable to your soul development. Mercury and Pluto in your solar ninth house are incredibly favorable for publishing or telecom ventures. Do you have a book project in the works? This is a good year to promote your book using the internet, social media, word-of-mouth campaigns, and other mass communication media.
TAURUS: The eclipse falls in your solar ninth house of travel, college, publishing and law. Where have you failed to follow through on any of these issues? With Venus conjunct the eclipse, love or cash are somehow tied in with these areas. Do you have a book project? You may finally find a publisher who extends a handsome advance. Prospective college students may locate loans and grants. Legal cases may finally come to a conclusion where you are awarded a just sum in compensation. But you did not have the right information or contact info until now, and so you can finally move forward on commissioning the right attorney, writers' agent, or whatever to represent you in your ventures.
GEMINI: The eclipse falls in your solar eighth house of wills, estates, insurance, taxes, loans and debt. Geminis will have a great opportunity to clear their financial decks of the burden of debt. If you are deeply in debt, get the proper help you need and listen, it should not cost you anything. Look up your state online, and there will be state offices with a list of bona-fide counselors to help you learn to manage your finances. Go online also to find info on what you need to know in order to contest an insurance denial, or refile your taxes, or any of a million things related to these financial issues. The eighth house also covers generational matters, which means that families may see a new addition, elders may come to live with an adult child, and adult children may come boomeranging back to their parents' home.
CANCER: The eclipse falls in your solar seventh house of partnerships and marriage. You will have cleared up the communications difficulties with your prospective partner, and can now move forward with drawing up contracts specifying your division of responsibilities. You may have been stymied in finding a counselor or other help in ironing out any difficulties in your marriage, but now you finally locate a book, counselor, or program that works for you. You might look up the book, “The 5 Love Languages”, which is probably available at your library.
LEO: The eclipse falls in your solar sixth house of health and occupation, as well as hobbies. Here again, one's hobby or avocation may become a second source of income for you, if you are able to figure out how to communicate your skills to the public. Learning a few marketing skills would benefit you now. Perhaps you can share ad space with a related service company, or simply put an ad on Craigslist like everyone else. Guard your health, and control your intake of sweets (Venus rules sugar). You can greatly improve your health over the year to come if you are diligent about taking painless baby steps to improve your diet and exercise regimen.
VIRGO: The eclipse falls in your solar fifth house of children, sports and risk-taking. Venus smiles on you for 2010 if you are hazarding the stock market or other investments, or if you gamble on sports events, or take other calculated risks. Be very careful that you understand the game, tho. Venus may bring another child into the family, or at least a house guest who is quite charming and attractive. If you have been trying to conceive or adopt, you should finally find out what agency or clinic can be of the most help to you in achieving your goal. Virgo athletes may win scholarships.
LIBRA: The eclipse falls in your solar fourth house of house and family. Perhaps you finally manage to get your home loan adjusted in the mortgage relief program signed by Pres. Obama. Your home is very, very important to you Librans, and you have fought tooth and nail to save it all through this horrible mortgage crisis. Now at last some light shines at the end of the tunnel. You find out what info was missing from prior applications for relief, and your request sails through. Family matters brighten, and you are able to express the love that you really feel for one another. Perhaps you are able to live in some kind of extended family arrangement, possibly with one family living upstairs and one downstairs.
SCORPIO: The eclipse falls in your solar third house of siblings, neighbors, local schools, automobiles and transit, and your own community. You may be able to mend fences with estranged siblings (or with problem neighbors), and finally express the love that you feel for each other. Repairing and opening the lines of communication will be paramount in the following months and long-term.
SAGITTARIUS: The eclipse falls in your solar second house of money and personal resources. This does not promise lottery wins, Sag, this is just a promising indicator that your efforts at work will continue to be recognized and compensated accordingly. But it also could indicate a change in jobs, with the new job paying more than your present position. Make sure you understand all the details of the compensation package, because employers are not throwing money at employees for nothing. Check out the manager's or president's record with the company or prior companies.
CAPRICORN: The eclipse falls in your solar first house of self and appearance. This eclipse affects you the most personally, not just in your material needs but also your innermost emotional needs for love and affection and acceptance. Capricorn often is treated as Mr. Mealticket because they are quite good at making money, but they really need to know that they are loved for themselves as well as for how well they provide for their wives and families. I think that this eclipse will bring you a special someone who does love you for yourself, although the communication part of the relationship may well need ironing out first.
AQUARIUS: The eclipse falls in your solar twelfth house of privacy and retreat and hospitals. This eclipse may bring you an opportunity to withdraw and concentrate on developing a special talent or project. Writers may finally get the chance to attend a writers workshop or retreat, or musicians may get invited to a Chautauqua music camp. And if any of you have unfortunate drug habits that you wish to be rid of, then a stay at a progressive detox facility may help you to finally shake off a self-destructive lifestyle.
PISCES: The eclipse falls in your solar eleventh house of hopes and wishes, as well as friends, groups and social and charitable organizations. You may join a charitable organization or one that provides grants or special events such as Make-A-Wish. OR you and your significant other may join a club together, hoping that the shared experiences will help keep you together.
In addition you may try looking at which house is touched by this eclipse in your NATAL chart. Use the list that follows here. My thanks to Kaye Shinker for this list.
1.The appearance you present to the world -- personality/persona, image, appearance.
2. The income you acquire one dollar at a time
3. The vehicles in your life, siblings and neighbors, community, local schools, how-to.
4. The home, your house, where you start and finish your day. Family matters too.
5. Entertainment and your ability to take a risk; children, games and sports, stock market.
6. The actual work you accomplish; hobbies, health.
7. Your partnerships: business, and otherwise
8. Insurance and taxes, loans, debts.
9. Travel and higher education
10. Career, reputation, honors and rank.
11. Earnings and dividends resulting from career; friends, charities, organizations, all groups
12. Chronic problems, enemies, retreats, hospitals.
Then, one may take note of which planets are near or are aspecting the eclipse point. If the eclipse contacts your Sun, you may experience a milestone and find new ways to make money. Your work increases your income, and you find intelligent ways to set aside the extra money you have earned. If the eclipse contacts the Moon, you may take great risks with your money, and it may actually pay off. Income can be volatile. And the biggest impact on your life is that you may move to a new home.
Eclipses that contact Mercury improve your chances for success in schooling and other intellectually demanding programs. You may be in transit a lot, either driving on the road or piling up the frequent-flyer miles. Eclipses that contact Venus improve your chances of winning money, prizes, and other bonuses during the years following the eclipse. Business partnerships formed now can be very successful, and you enjoy the pleasures that money can bring you. Eclipses that contact your Mars may bring a desire to take risks, so be careful. It is great for buckling down to outline your goals and taking steps to achieve them!
Eclipses that contact Jupiter increase your income and returns on investments, but also you may decide to spend on capital improvements, hopefully ones that will increase your income in years to come. Eclipses that contact Saturn help you learn to drive a good bargain, and thrift becomes an ingrained habit. There is nothing wrong with buying on sale, after all. You tally up your accounts and analyze where your best profits are coming from.
Eclipses that contact Uranus may bring sudden opportunities in whatever house is affected. It may be a business or travel opportunity, for example, but it may carry some risk which you need to research how to manage successfully. But it will probably be worth taking that risk.
Eclipses that contact Neptune revitalizes your creativity; your avocation may become your vocation. Your hobby may become your business if you can finally figure out how to present it to the paying public. Eclipses that contact Pluto serve to close a chapter of your life. Maybe you need to scale down possessions in order to move into a smaller place; Pluto will give you the strength to consign items to the trash or the Goodwill box. You may have a household or a business where you have to prune the payroll; Pluto will give your the strength to make these hard decisions.
And a final note: If you have a relationship that is troubled, or that you wish to resume, you might try the 40-day prayer. It is a very simple ritual that requires only that you repeat the following words at least once a day: “(name of other person), I am praying to you. Thank you, (name) for everything you have done for me. I am sorry for anything I have done to you.” Many stories of reunions or phone calls out of the blue could be related here.
I had to send out this bulletin because I hardly touched on the Annular Solar Eclipse of Jan. 15 in my regular weekly column. This will serve as the “What Will 2010 Bring to You?” article that I promised at the end of 2009.
