Your Milky Way Horoscope June 29-July 5, 2014

By Milky Way Maid

Dear Readers-- Please visit the website of the National Blood Clot Alliance at StopTheClot.org to learn more about blood clots and when you might need to see a doctor about it.

The Sun at 7 degrees Cancer trines Neptune in Pisces at 3:23 am Sunday. This is followed by: Venus at 7 degrees Gemini squares Neptune in Pisces at 3:31 pm Sunday. Both transits hitting the same day are probably going to cause lots of confusion and lost objects on the mundane level. I know I had a bit of a tizzy earlier today with trying to locate some items I had misplaced, etc tho I eventually found most of them. Neptune, whether in supposedly good or bad aspects, is just as likely to cause losses or the fear of losses in your personal life.

Mercury is Stationary Direct at 24 degrees Gemini at 8:50 am Tuesday, July 1. Yay! Some of you out there hardly breathe until Mercury goes direct again, so now you can finally exhale. Let's hope you learned some previously unrevealed details about whatever issues concern you. I know that I have gone through a period of temporary fixes and the long-term solution will go into effect on the day that Mercury just happens to go direct. So I couldn't hold my breath and refuse to make any decisions. What happened was that I put in the temporary fix, but went for help in finding something else that might save me money and still protect my interests.

The Sun at 12 degrees Cancer opposes Pluto in Capricorn at 4 am Friday. This is the kind of transit that calls on us to dig deep for inner resources and fortitude to overcome obstacles. And yet, if you are trying to “fight City Hall” you may have to throw in the towel and accept defeat. If this contacts personal planets especially the Sun or Mars, you might truly have to fight for your life. On the positive side, you have the chance to clear the air, get to the bottom of whatever is a stumbling block in a relationship, and start afresh. Since Pluto is also symbolic of transformation, this is also an opportunity to remake yourself, make vital changes in your life now that you see what must be done.

Readers can follow not only their Sun sign horoscope but also their Ascendant for further clues to how your week will develop. NOTE: some aspects are exact on a weekend but may find opportunity for expression on the Friday or Monday nearest the exact aspect. Times given are in Eastern Standard or Eastern Daylight Savings Time depending on the season.

ARIES - March 20-April 19 – Monday afternoon finds you in a friendly game with friends, or offering a friendly wager on a sports event. Tuesday's Mercury station in your solar third house brings a rain of messages tumbling all over each other so take time to read every one and sort them out. Relationship issues burst into arguments Saturday pm; make a point of showing up for major events and being mutually supportive or seek counseling.

TAURUS - April 20-May 20 – Financial matters may finally go forward as Mercury turns direct on Tuesday; you get things straightened out and on a better footing, and probably will save some money in the bargain. You may be able to borrow a few bucks from a pal Saturday morning. Health matters may suddenly demand attention Saturday pm so do not delay seeing your practitioner.

GEMINI - May 21-June 20 – Sunday's Venus square Neptune is also conjunct Juno in your sign; you may be very confused or worried about relationship status but this should get cleared up pretty quickly. Mercury goes direct at 24 degrees of your sign on Tuesday morning; expect a backlog of messages to suddenly be dumped in your lap. It might be best to read all messages before responding. It would be prudent to delay any financial decisions until midweek. You may find someone who can trade favors with you Saturday morning.

CANCER - June 21-July 22 – It would be prudent to delay making decisions until midweek, or whenever updated facts can be gathered. You may succeed in getting that moneybags hubby of yours to give you a few bucks Wednesday at dinner. A family member may secretly do you a favor Saturday morning.

LEO - July 23-Aug. 22 – The Moon is in Leo from 4:43 am Sunday till Tuesday evening. The Moon in Leo sextiles Venus Sunday night, putting a glow on social gatherings with friends; however do keep an eye on their drinking since you may have to close the bar early. You will probably have to keep the nose to the grindstone Monday, but the evening looks energetic – you might get in a few rounds of basketball before dinner. Early risers catch messages at the office that would otherwise have gone to the voicemail.

VIRGO - Aug. 23-Sept. 22 – The Moon is in Virgo from 5:24 pm Tuesday till Friday morning. Thursday fireworks may or may not go off without a hitch due to the timing mechanism being off a bit; nevertheless you enjoy being out with boon companions. You may be able to borrow a few bucks from a pal Saturday morning.

LIBRA - Sept. 23-Oct. 22 – The Moon is in Libra from 5:43 am Friday till next Sunday afternoon. The office may be snowed under with a backlog of messages Tuesday, so you might have to stay late. Friday fireworks displays will probably be quite artistic, so bring a camera along to the show. Mid-morning Saturday favors time spent with dear ones, or concentrating on creative projects. The afternoon and evening can be emotionally explosive so remember to count ten before shooting off your mouth.

SCORPIO - Oct. 23-Nov. 21 – Insurance matters and any other eighth house stuff gets straightened out by the time Mercury goes direct Tuesday; you could save a bit of money in the bargain, too. Health matters may suddenly demand attention Saturday pm so do not delay seeing your practitioner.

SAGITTARIUS - Nov. 22-Dec. 21 – Relationship matters are improved by the time Mercury goes direct on Tuesday, so you might even celebrate this weekend with some fireworks of your own. Friends may not be supportive of your creative efforts or of all the time you are spending at classes or rehearsals, especially on Saturday.

CAPRICORN - Dec. 22-Jan. 19 - The office may be snowed under with a backlog of messages Tuesday, so you might have to stay late. Saturday pm focuses tensions on trying to juggle demands of career and family; try to make time for loved ones and make a point of attending as many family events as possible.

AQUARIUS - Jan. 20-Feb. 17 – Prudence may demand you delay decisions about children until at least midweek when messages are confirmed, etc. Get-togethers with dear ones are favored for Saturday; try to organize a picnic or a morning outing with children.

PISCES - Feb. 18-March 19 – Family matters or housing issues should be ironed out by the time Mercury goes direct on Tuesday; celebrate with a family gathering for the holiday at your place. Saturday morning favors working on creative pursuits to exercise your artistic muscles. Saturday pm raises financial tensions and arguments over money; work out that budget and keep to it.

Your Milky Way Horoscope June 22-28, 2014

By Milky Way Maid

Dear Readers-- Please visit the website of the National Blood Clot Alliance at StopTheClot.org to learn more about blood clots and when you might need to see a doctor about it.

Venus enters Gemini at 8:34 am Monday. Venus in Gemini is always the flirt, but with ruler Mercury retrograde in Gemini right now, a Twin might make some verbal missteps. Since Venus also rules cash and finances in general, Geminis might also make some errors in writing checks or figuring their personal accounts. Still, Venus in Gemini is famous for its wit and a lighthearted way of communicating. Gemini tends to be superficial in conversation, yet a mature Gemini is able to elevate the discussion to encompass hearing out others' points of view. Gemini loves to discuss abstract ideas rather than how-to instructions. Famous people with Venus in Gemini include: Ringo Starr, Jackie Kennedy Onassis, William Shakespeare, Mary McCarthy, Benjamin Spock, and Franz Kafka.

Mars at 16 degrees Libra opposes Uranus in Aries at 4:25 am Wednesday. Mars opposite Uranus sounds pretty explosive to me, also pretty bad for purchases of mechanical objects such as cars, lawn mowers, etc. Many of us get ready to just about kick off the harness and run off for the greener pastures they've heard legends about. Sudden changes are possible or even probable, even emergency surgery may be in store for some of us. Between this transit and the Moon-Mercury conjunction on Thursday, people will be blurting out everything they have held inside for too long.

We have a New Moon at 5 degrees 37' Cancer at 4:08 am Friday. It is accompanied by a Moon trine Neptune in Pisces. Neptune has a bad rep, but the trine may help some of us find kindred spirits who hold to the same ideals that you do. New Moons in Cancer tend to put the focus on family issues, family businesses, possibly an addition to the family or house. Your home becomes a focal point, either in terms of renovating, buying and selling, hosting more social events, or housing an exchange student or two.

Ceres and Vesta will be conjunct at 20 degrees Libra this week. These two asteroids have been slowly moving almost in lockstep thru Libra for quite a while, so you may not feel like anything special is happening. Couples may find they need to have some prolonged talks about where the relationship is going, or even seek out couples therapy. A lot of times Vesta will sacrifice their own happiness in a relationship, to the point of even letting the other person leave if they think they will be happier with someone else.

ARIES - March 20-April 19 – The conjunction of Ceres and Vesta in your solar seventh house has extra oomph due to the angular placement; there is some chance you will be cast in a caregiver role, but more often this transit makes you too willing to sacrifice your own needs or break up with someone if the other expresses a wish for more freedom. If you believe that the other person is a good match for you, you will need to fight for this relationship, offer to go into couples therapy if necessary. Venus' entry into your solar third house can bring more socializing, love notes, and appreciation of beauty in poetry or music.

TAURUS - April 20-May 20 – The Moon is in Taurus from Sunday till Tuesday morning. Midday Sunday favors a pleasant swim among friends, or perhaps volunteering at a fund-raising event. Monday morning may be hard to face because you just see the piles of work to be done, but you can do it. Monday night is a carefree night on the town. Venus' entry into your solar second house can bring in some cash or small prizes, so use it wisely. Best day may be Tuesday when a Moon-Venus conjunction on the cusp of your second house helps you find someone to trade favors with.

GEMINI - May 21-June 20 – The Moon is in Gemini from 7:06 am Tuesday till Thursday evening. Geminis get lots of promises of help Tuesday morning. Tuesday night might be filled with worries and anxious moments so do those little tricks you have to calm the butterflies. Wednesday afternoon may hold some high-spirited games with friends, but try not to get carried away with those tackles. Thursday morn starts off with a lot of chatter and calls right away. Venus' entry into your sign on Monday ushers in a month of being kind to yourself with a salon visit or makeover.

CANCER - June 21-July 22 – The Moon is back home in Cancer from 5:06 pm Thursday thru the end of the week. Friday morning may be a bit too dreamy; try to keep alert during your commute. Friday night you are bound and determined to get your to-do list done. You get good advice from an elder or an expert Saturday morning. On Saturday night you feel so darn optimistic and generous that you could just about give away the store; better let someone else look over contracts and such. Venus' entry into your solar twelfth house puts your guardian angel on the job.

LEO - July 23-Aug. 22 - Venus' entry into your solar eleventh house can bring an invite to a class reunion or just good times with kindred spirits. Tuesday might be the best day to swap favors with a friend. Be especially careful driving or traveling on Wednesday due to the Mars-Uranus opposition in your travel houses. A professional associate may blurt out stuff about their feelings, making for an awkward exchange; let them vent, but do let them know that you are not their mom.

VIRGO - Aug. 23-Sept. 22 - Venus' entry into your solar tenth house can bring some real “employee appreciation” in the form of perks or performance bonuses; you might possibly invest in your own career by starting a business. Tuesday might be the best day to schmooze with the higher-ups at the company. Check your finances early Wednesday because the Mars-Uranus opposition might make electronic devices do wacky things. Your ruler Mercury goes direct next week so just hang in there; I know you hate it when errors crop up in all sorts of paperwork.

LIBRA - Sept. 23-Oct. 22 - Venus' entry into your solar ninth house can bring a summer vacation to scenic places like Mount Rushmore, a national park or seashore, or a Greek island; take a loved one along, or add someone along the way. Tuesday might be the best day to get a suggestion on where to take that vacation or where to book your hotel. Be especially safety-conscious on Wednesday due to the Mars-Uranus opposition on the angles.

SCORPIO - Oct. 23-Nov. 21 - Venus' entry into your solar eighth house can magnetize some money into joint accounts or investments; also you look good in that Little Black Dress for your heavy dates. Tuesday might be the best day to find a new LBD. Co-ruler Mars makes an opposition to Uranus Wednesday so be extra safety-conscious. The New Moon on Friday falls in compatible Cancer; you may locate advisors or professional people who hold to the same ideals that you do.

SAGITTARIUS - Nov. 22-Dec. 21 - Venus' entry into your solar seventh house puts you on your best behavior with people you want to charm, and maybe an actual introduction to Mr Right or Ms Right. Tuesday might be the best day to find someone to swap favors with. Your mate blurts out her feelings and needs on Thursday; try to be as accommodating as possible and yet try to set up regular meetings for discussing family matters so resentments do not build up.

CAPRICORN - Dec. 22-Jan. 19 - Venus' entry into your solar sixth house can make you start a new diet so you can look good at the beach, adoption of a new pet, and in general a better spirit of cooperation with coworkers. Tuesday might be the best day to visit the local pet shelter. Be especially safety-conscious on Wednesday due to the Mars-Uranus opposition on the angles. Friday's New Moon energizes your mate, who may become more involved in local politics or school issues.

AQUARIUS - Jan. 20-Feb. 17 - Venus' entry into your solar fifth house can bring lots of flirting and possibly some beautiful expressions of your creativity. Tuesday might be the best day to find a discounted class in painting, dancing, music, or in a craft. Be especially careful driving or traveling on Wednesday due to the Mars-Uranus opposition in your travel houses. On Thursday one of the children may blurt out their real feelings, and may feel like their needs are not being met; give them practice in managing some of their own choices.

PISCES - Feb. 18-March 19 - Venus' entry into your solar fourth house can spur you into a major renovation or redecoration of the home; you might also find things go more smoothly with parents or other family members. Tuesday might be the best day to get treated to brunch or dinner. Check your finances early Wednesday because the Mars-Uranus opposition might make electronic devices do wacky things, or some debts may come due.

Your Milky Way Horoscope June 15-21, 2014

By Milky Way Maid

Dear Readers-- Please visit the website of the National Blood Clot Alliance at StopTheClot.org to learn more about blood clots and when you might need to see a doctor about it.

Father's Day on June 15 features a Moon-Jupiter opposition. Dads might get overemotional about their kids or meaningful gifts received. Conversely, things going wrong may cause dads or moms to blow their stacks or over-react in other ways. So be gentle with Dad and go along with whatever he wants to do; he really loves you, you know.

Mercury retrogrades back into Gemini at 6:05 am Tuesday. We will have to make corrections to paperwork, call people back to cancel or reschedule appointments, or meet with professional people to clarify what we expect from each other.

Venus at 24 degrees Taurus sextiles sugar-daddy Jupiter in Cancer at 5:16 am Wednesday. Wishes can come true under this transit, so be careful what you wish for. This transit can make you a little too generous, so think things over before you give away any fur coats or diamonds. You might overdo in the food or drink department, especially with sweets. But on the whole, you will be in a very nice, contented mood, and may even feel like you are on vacation.

The Sun at 28 degrees Gemini is conjunct retrograde Mercury at 6:50 pm Thursday. This is an important point in the Mercury cycle so watch for any changes of direction in the stock market or in commodities prices. And hey, if you read my article on late degrees, you might also recognize this transit as a fine time to start that novel you have been meaning to write.

The Sun enters Cancer at 6:51 am Saturday. People with the Sun in Cancer are either a big baby, wanting to be taken care of, or everybody's mama who takes care of others. Cancers are extremely proud of wherever they come from, and readily wave the flag no matter how long it has been since they lived there. A mature Cancer personality is very sensitive to the emotional pains of others, and can empathize and validate others' feelings. Cancer is a very active sign since it is one of the cardinals; they are always doing something. They like all sorts of antiques and anything historical, which may include the moth-eaten old doll from childhood. Famous people with the Sun in Cancer include: comedian Phyllis Diller, rocker Ringo Starr, game show mogul Merv Griffin, pianist Van Cliburn, artist Rembrandt, Jean Jacques Rousseau, Helen Keller, Gilda Radner, Supreme Court justice Sonia Sotomayor, PT Barnum, and Arianna Huffington.

ARIES - March 20-April 19 – The Moon is in Aries from 5:26 pm Thursday till late Saturday. The Sun-Mercury conjunction on Thursday directly affects your communications; perhaps you need to finish or edit a manuscript. Friday could be stressful, with deadlines pressing you to make decisions regarding career or partnerships. Dinner hour on Saturday favors catching up on news and gossip with your guests. Juno enters your solar third house this week; communications are key in relationships, and you enjoy using someone as a sounding board.

TAURUS - April 20-May 20 – Best days this week are probably when the Moon is in Pisces, plus your ruler Venus is very happy Wednesday morning. The Moon enters Taurus at 11:03 pm Saturday, and remains there thru the weekend. Not much I can say about less than an hour, except that you will feel more like yourself Sunday morning. Juno enters your solar second house this week, which favors finding a financial partner who can help you organize the bill-paying and tracking of expenses. You may even be able to afford some indulgences after cutting out the waste.

GEMINI - May 21-June 20 – Juno enters Gemini this week! Right now you want a beau who is mentally stimulating more than anything else. Explore taking a class together, taking day trips, or reading the same book. You may also at the same time develop more self-reliance as you grow into yourself while still sharing a part of your life with someone else. The Sun-Mercury conjunction on Thursday may be significant for you, so by all means start a writing class or project, or set aside time to write such as at a writers' Meetup, etc.

CANCER - June 21-July 22 – Best day may be when the Moon is in fellow-water-sign Pisces; Wednesday morning may bring a gift. Juno's entry into your solar twelfth house could pull you into an unhealthy savior-victim dynamic, but also opens up opportunities to help others in a professional role. Relationships need to have a normal amount of give-and-take. This is also a good time for developing artistic talents as you allow subconscious material to find expression and release.

LEO - July 23-Aug. 22 – Juno's entry into your solar eleventh house this week ushers in a period when you explore other arrangements in relationships, almost like going through the a-la-carte menu at a cafeteria. You want to balance your own needs for freedom and your comfort with a more traditional ways. Best day may be Saturday night when spent chatting with friends.

VIRGO - Aug. 23-Sept. 22 – Juno's entry into your solar tenth house ushers in a period when you take relationships more seriously, in fact you may view it as another job. You may also begin a career in the field of managing joint resources, investments, or taxes, possibly in a family business. Best day could be Thursday when the Sun-Mercury conjunction may throw a lot of light on career matters.

LIBRA - Sept. 23-Oct. 22 – Juno's entry into your solar ninth house will probably help you find a capable advisor to guide you through legal or publishing matters. You might find that you choose someone who works in a partnership, such as a married couple who are both lawyers. This transit also spurs a hunger for new adventures and travel, so you may have to get a new passport in order. Best day may be Wednesday morning's Venus-Jupiter sextile when a career perk may be granted you.

SCORPIO - Oct. 23-Nov. 21 - Juno's entry into your solar eighth house this week may coincide with hidden issues coming to the surface. Scorpio always has issues related to power-sharing, trust, privacy, etc., but this transit is sure to force you to deal with them. Best day may come midday Monday when ruler Mars trines the Moon; your physical energies get recharged with an emotional lift. Also you may rather enjoy facing a worthy challenge on Friday.

SAGITTARIUS - Nov. 22-Dec. 21 – Juno's entry into your solar seventh house this week means that you increasingly insist on equitable splits of shared duties and obligations. You will have to learn to compromise and to purposely seek out the win-win solution. Best day may be Wednesday morning when ruler Jupiter makes a friendly sextile to Venus; you might make a sound investment decision in terms of a mutual fund or an annuity.

CAPRICORN - Dec. 22-Jan. 19 – The Moon begins the week in Capricorn but goes void in the wee hours; Cappy might be a bit emotionally capricious though. Juno's entry into your solar sixth house this week could bring more work activities that are done as part of a team, possibly as part of a family business. Best day of the week may be on Wednesday night when you realize the benefits that hard-won experience has given you.

AQUARIUS - Jan. 20-Feb. 17 – The Moon is in Aquarius from 1:27 pm Sunday till Tuesday afternoon. The Moon makes no aspects Sunday while in Aquarius, but midday Monday revs up your energy level; make your to-do list extra ambitious. Appointments may be broken Monday afternoon, and that could be disappointing. Work on relationships Tuesday morning, since goodwill and communications are favorable. Juno's entry into your solar fifth house brings more fun in general, more artistic creativity, and enthusiastic activities as a couple.

PISCES - Feb. 18-March 19 – The Moon is in Pisces from 2:26 pm Tuesday till Thursday afternoon. Early risers on Wednesday may find good luck on their morning stop at the convenience mart. You make productive use of Saturn energy Wednesday night by planning your summer schedule. Friday afternoon and evening are pretty frustrating and could end in an upsetting exchange with a total stranger; it might be best to leave the scene if things are obviously not congenial. Saturday dinner hour is favorable for good food and good times with relatives or neighbors. Juno's entry into your solar fourth house may call on you to be extra supportive, or even become a caregiver to a family member.

Your Milky Way Horoscope June 8-14, 2014

By Milky Way Maid

Dear Readers-- Please visit the website of the National Blood Clot Alliance at StopTheClot.org to learn more about blood clots and when you might need to see a doctor about it.

Venus at 12 degrees Taurus trines Pluto in Capricorn at 9:38 pm Sunday. Venus with Pluto is very passionate, very fertile; so the word is take extra birth-control precautions if you do not have plans to add to your family. This is of course if these planets conjoin or aspect NATAL or PROGRESSED personal planets. The trine could simply mean that you become more intensely involved with person you are already seeing/dating. There is some chance that congenital (Pluto) conditions might be successfully treated, especially blood conditions (Venus) and especially via gene or stem-cell (Pluto again) therapy.

Neptune at 7 degrees 36' Pisces goes Stationary Retrograde at 3:51 pm Monday. We might not be proud of everything we do this summer, because it will be all too easy to stoop to underhanded methods to get what we want. Or we might not be proud of people that we prefer to look up to, when their dirty laundry gets aired in public. On the other hand, Neptune retrograde is probably ideal for taking extended vacations, because one of the meanings of Neptune is holiday, in the sense of taking a holiday from normal chores and duties. Also in the sense of taking a trip to places where your niche in the scheme of things is nebulous and fluid, because no one knows who you are or who you are related to or any of that surface stuff.

Venus at 17 degrees Taurus opposes Saturn in Scorpio at 12:09 am Friday. Venus in good aspect to Saturn can polish up the raw ambition, so the opposition (I would think) would mean that attempts to schmooze with influential people falls flat, or you put your foot squarely in your own mouth. You ask for kind advice, and you get the harsh truth instead. You ask for what you feel you have worked for, and are told no, you have not earned enough points or whatever to claim the thing. At worst, you ask for love and you are turned down or rejected outright. Oh this is a nasty transit, one that threatens to send you to the ice cream freezer at the local grocery store.

Mars at 12 degrees Libra squares Pluto in Capricorn at 8:34 am Saturday. Don't be surprised if you run into a human bulldozer, someone who bullies you out of his way and is terribly rude and blunt about it! Granted, Mars in Libra might possibly be a bit more polite than I expect, but you know how Libra is – you push them too far and then suddenly they snap and declare war on you. It might be well to walk on eggshells today.

We have a Full Moon at 22 degrees Sag at 12:11 am Friday, after which the Moon promptly goes Void-of-Course. Most likely, Sag natives should refrain from ambitious plans this month, lest all their efforts go for naught. Mutable signs should probably stick to routine matters, although they should follow up on things started before the Full Moon. Mercury, Saturn, Pluto and now Neptune are all retrograde, which makes it even less likely that new plans will get off the ground. Most of us will probably have to make adjustments when original plans cannot be fulfilled on schedule or as designed; in other words we may all have to improvise a bit!

ARIES - March 20-April 19 – You are not normally a chaotic person but there is probably at least a closet or file that you really need to keep ship-shape this summer. One issue has to do with money in some way; perhaps an old debt has completely slipped your mind and now the loan comes due with interest. On Saturday you juggle competing needs of career and spouse, not always successfully. If you make a promise to spend the day together, by golly you need to follow through on that; make some memories together!

TAURUS - April 20-May 20 – Your ruler Venus is active this week so expect your heartstrings to feel some tugs. Early in the week, your Venus love-nature is looking to make things legal with your inamorata. With the Neptune retrograde, friends may prove unreliable or hard to reach all summer and fall. Friday does not favor asking your romantic partner for any favors. Saturday night is much better for spending some quality time with loved ones. Best day may be Saturday in general, though you may be working hard – probably something like cleaning out the garage.

GEMINI - May 21-June 20 – Best day of the week may be Sunday morning with the moon in compatible Libra; personal contacts are pleasant and ideas flow readily. Career ambitions may seem frustratingly elusive all summer and fall; that will be the Neptune retrograde talking to you. Also with your ruler Mercury gone retrograde as well, you may get frustrated that calls are not returned or plans go awry; but you don't mind making second or third voice-mails. Friday's Full Moon in Sag will accent relationships with short-term partners and mates.

CANCER - June 21-July 22 – Legal matters go into limbo all summer and fall, but travel takes your mind off of unimportant matters. Best day may be Monday if you are on vacation, but Tuesday if you are at work. Don't try to make a friend into a romantic interest, or vice-versa. Friday's Full Moon in Sag means that the month may see you quite busy at work with short-term projects or working on ad-hoc committees.

LEO - July 23-Aug. 22 – It may be difficult to get answers from insurance companies or investment firms all summer; make sure everything is explained before you plunk down your money. Best day of the week may be Thursday, when fire signs are energetic and fun-seeking. Ambitions can be thwarted late in the week; make sure you get the latest updates on the boss' personal details before embarrass yourself by asking about the spouse who recently walked out or died or something like that.

VIRGO - Aug. 23-Sept. 22 – Mercury's retrograde bothers you more than it does other signs, because you expect to be letter-perfect all the time; but give yourself a break when you too prove to be merely human. Partners in general can seem elusive or at least terribly distracted all summer; you will have to be the organized one. Best day of the week may be Tuesday night, when good times with boon companions beckon. Friday may deliver a financial wake-up call, so you may have to adopt new habits like saving important receipts or send yourself bill reminders.

LIBRA - Sept. 23-Oct. 22 – The Moon is in Libra from Sunday till Monday morning. Sunday morning favors making some quality time with loved ones, possibly planning or embarking on a long vacation together. The Moon goes void in mid-afternoon, so stick to routine matters. Coworkers may need reminders about meetings and projects, and you may have to step in and organize their calendars etc all summer. You may get bulldozed by a rude person Saturday morning, although I know you can put them in their place sweetly.

SCORPIO - Oct. 23-Nov. 21 – The Moon is in Scorpio from 6:38 am Monday till midday Wednesday. You catch up with all the latest over lunch with associates Monday. Monday night favors a night out at the movies, possibly with the kids. Don't expect to find someone to trade favors with Tuesday morning, but don't let that send you into a blue mood. Things look up towards evening. You rather enjoy being out of touch with the office while on holiday this summer. Friday does not favor asking your romantic partner for any favors.

SAGITTARIUS - Nov. 22-Dec. 21 – The Moon is in Sag from 11:23 am Wednesday till midday Friday. The Moon makes no exact aspect Wednesday, so just follow your own agenda. Thursday morning finds your energy high and your friends ready for a bit of competition. You enjoy a child's unique perspective Thursday afternoon. Friday morning has a void Moon so stick to routine matters. A friend may get blunt about demanding repayment of a loan, and you really should not have let it go so long.

CAPRICORN - Dec. 22-Jan. 19 – The Moon is in Capricorn from 1:04 pm Friday into next Sunday. You may have difficulty reaching people by phone or email Friday afternoon, perhaps they leave the office early for the weekend. Don't try to make a friend into a romantic interest, or vice-versa. Saturday morn can be rather um, challenging shall we say? DO NOT waste time arguing with police or other authority figures. Saturday night is perfect for memorable quality time with loved ones, or for sports.

AQUARIUS - Jan. 20-Feb. 17 – Best day of the week may be Sunday morning with the moon in compatible Libra; personal contacts are pleasant and ideas flow readily. Be extra careful to check your bank statements and receipts all summer, or retrograde Neptune could deliver unpleasant surprises. Ambitions can be thwarted late in the week; make sure you get the latest updates on the boss' personal details before embarrass yourself by asking about the spouse who recently walked out or died or something like that.

PISCES - Feb. 18-March 19 – Your ruler Neptune goes retrograde this week so expect that discipline will be forgotten. You will seem to dither and be horribly unorganized this summer, but you are determined not to worry about details while on extended holiday. Friday may deliver a financial wake-up call, so you may have to adopt new habits like saving important receipts or send yourself bill reminders. You may have to get creative Saturday about evading certain responsibilities.

Your Milky Way Horoscope June 1-7, 2014

By Milky Way Maid

Dear Readers-- Please visit the website of the National Blood Clot Alliance at StopTheClot.org to learn more about blood clots and when you might need to see a doctor about it.

Venus at 7 degrees Taurus sextiles Neptune in Pisces at 9:16 am Wednesday. All the Venus-Neptune aspects tend to be negative because they allow us to fool ourselves into thinking everything is so gosh-darn hunky-dory, everything is fine, couldn't be better and so forth. However, if you are just daydreaming, or on vacation, this is FINE!!! Also your creative imagination can kick in, so take your camera or your easel with you on a drive to a scenic area.

The Sun at 15 degrees Gemini sextiles Uranus in Aries at 7:20 am Friday. On a mundane level this may merely help us make our friends laugh. You are also mentally active: curious, alert, able to grasp concepts quickly and make leaps in applying these concepts to unusual situations or needs. Pick up a copy of Mechanics Illustrated or some computer mag, look into new software on CNET reviews, that sort of thing.

Mercury goes retrograde at 7:57 am Saturday; it is at 3 degrees 10' Cancer. (Mercury will go direct the morning of July 1.) Ah yes, everyone's favorite times of the year are when Mercury goes retrograde; yes, I am making a joke here. Really, this period can be good for some things. Like a vacation. Why? Because you know you will always wind up back home. Good for doing things over, if indeed they need to be redone, and with the benefit of hindsight you can now do it the way it should have been done the first time.
