Your Milky Way Horoscope AUG. 3-9, 2014
By
Milky Way Maid
Dear
Readers-- Please visit the website of the National Blood Clot
Alliance at StopTheClot.org to learn more about blood clots and when
you might need to see a doctor about it.
Mars at 6 degrees
Scorpio trines Neptune in Pisces at 8:14 am Thursday.
Mars-Neptune trines often are very idealistic, very other worldly.
Other people laugh off ideas under this transit as totally
impractical, but sometimes a brilliant innovation in implementing it
makes it totally workable. Mars with Neptune also can be quite
creative in artistic expression, such as dance and poetry.
The Sun at 16 degrees
Leo joins Mercury at 12:21 pm Friday.
This is a key economic turning point, so keep an eye on what the
stock market does. Do prices go up or down or sideways? Mercury
getting a trine from Uranus may mean that more foreign funds come
into the market, propping up prices. Sun and Mercury soon square
Saturn, which may mean some kind of obstacle puts a fly in that
ointment. The trine especially favors solid intuitive insights. You
might try a bit of remote viewing, picturing a place you have been
meaning to go to, and then compare your actual visit to your remote
visit to see you accurate your were.
Mercury in turn trines
Uranus in Aries at 4:14 pm Friday.
We succeed in spreading the word via electronic or computer-based
media. So go ahead and post to your blog, leave comments on articles
online, start that media-managing project you had in mind these last
few weeks.
Then the Sun trines
Uranus in Aries at 8:36 pm Friday. You
get some positive feedback for expressing your individuality. Maybe
you take the stage on open mic night, and a bit of applause stokes
your ego.
Finally Mercury at 16
degrees Leo squares Saturn in Scorpio at 10:50 pm Friday. You
may act like an authority on a pet subject, but let's hope you have
some actual cred regarding your chosen topic.
The Sun at 16 degrees
Leo squares Saturn at 11:11 am Saturday. This
aspect is usually associated with having to account for oneself or
one's actions. This sometimes occurs as a result of getting a ticket
or arrest that requires you to appear in court and explain things to
a judge. Sometimes it is merely being called in to chat with the boss
about your performance. So the message is, watch your self and ask if
you would likely be questioned about it if seen by someone in
authority.
Vesta enters Scorpio
this week. Emma Donath says
that this can spur a total regeneration of the personality, possibly
accompanied by psychic talents. Scorpio can become more exacting in
demands they place on themselves, as well as of others. If Scorpio is
your ascendant, they latch onto a higher goal in life, kind of like a
Holy Grail, something that is more of a spiritual quest than a mere
hunt for material gains.

Readers
can follow not only their Sun sign horoscope but also their Ascendant
for further clues to how your week will develop. NOTE: some aspects
are exact on a weekend but may find opportunity for expression on the
Friday or Monday nearest the exact aspect. Times given are in Eastern
Standard or Eastern Daylight Savings Time depending on the season.
ARIES
- March 20-April 19 - Vesta enters your solar eighth house
this week; you could be pretty frustrated if you were expecting
spousal benefits (like insurance coverage or a Social Security
benefit) to come through. They may be delayed quite a bit so just
hang in there. Fire signs enjoy the Thursday sunrise and more. Ruler
Mars trines Neptune later Thursday morn, when your intuition is
pretty darn sharp. Make a point of nurturing your spouse's talents
and lending moral support as he/she challenges self.
TAURUS
- April 20-May 20 - Vesta enters your solar seventh house
this week; you may be involved with someone who has little time for
you, possibly due to a very demanding job or travel. You learn to be
more self-reliant, though, and that is something that gratifies you.
Fixed signs are frustrated Friday by authorities or deadlines; break
down the tasks required of you into less-intimidating chunks. Ruler
Venus is challenged by the selling game on Saturday; maybe you enjoy
running your tag sale or marketing your crafts at a local shop.
GEMINI
- May 21-June 20 - Vesta enters your solar sixth house this
week; you may take a role in helping children or adults with learning
problems just for the joy of seeing them improve. Your regular job,
however, can prove frustrating and offer no intrinsic satisfaction at
all in this period.
CANCER
- June 21-July 22 - Vesta enters your solar fifth house this
week; you may send the kids off to a late summer camp for a couple
weeks. Take care of your health because missing your children so much
can actually make you sick. Ceres spends its final week in your sign,
so make the most of doing the little things that make everything
special in the home and kitchen. Perfect your gourmet, healthful
recipes and play with making your own e-cookbook to share with
friends on the holidays.
LEO
- July 23-Aug. 22 – Vesta enters your solar fourth house
this week; you may have to take care of a family member through an
illness, or take a parent into your own home. Think of it as a chance
to draw closer together once more. Fire signs enjoy the Thursday
sunrise and more. Fixed signs are frustrated Friday by authorities or
deadlines; break down the tasks required of you into
less-intimidating chunks. You enjoy playing matchmaker with friends
this week, something you have done before but this time, I think you
may strike it right.
VIRGO
- Aug. 23-Sept. 22 – Vesta enters your solar third house
this week, improving your scholarly performance as you master its
energies. You may even take a teaching position, even if you don't
particularly enjoy it. Ruler Mercury gets a shot in the arm Friday,
even though you cannot get off and running as fast as you might
prefer. Pallas will soon leave your sign, but first it has to square
Juno in Gemini; selling your expertise might be a challenge with
someone who relies on his/her spouse for what you do.
LIBRA
- Sept. 23-Oct. 22 – Vesta enters your solar second house
this week, restricting spending; make that budget and stick to it for
best results. The budget you draw up Monday morning is one you can
stick to. Ruler Venus gets a happy trine Monday afternoon, and life
feels very good. Also affecting your finances is a double square
Friday, one that might entail a temporary interruption in cash flow,
possibly when a cash machine is out-of-service. Ruler Venus is out of
sorts Saturday morning tho, moping over imagined slights; treat
yourself to a mini spa experience of your own improvised design.
SCORPIO
- Oct. 23-Nov. 21 – The Moon is in Scorpio from Sunday till
Tuesday morning. The Moon conjoins Mars in Scorpio about 7:30 am,
meaning that your emotions may express themselves rather
emphatically; try not to bite anyone, but get out for a walk or run.
Midday favors an early matinee at the cinema. You set your nose to
the grindstone Monday morning. Monday afternoon favors sharing love
and favors with a family member. Ruler Mars trines Neptune Thursday
morn, favoring dance class-- at least follow your intuition which
will be keen. Vesta enters your sign this week, squaring Jupiter; you
latch onto a personal Grail quest that means something to you.
SAGITTARIUS
- Nov. 22-Dec. 21 – The Moon is in Sag from 6:19 am Tuesday
till Thursday morning. You are feeling wildly optimistic Tuesday
afternoon but try to get a reality check before buying any big-ticket
item. Best day may be Wednesday when you get easy trines to Sun,
Mercury, and Uranus; lucky bounces of the football are likely. Ruler
Jupiter likely to go way over the top Saturday night, so keep someone
nearby who is a sensible influence. Vesta enters your solar twelfth
house this week; you are compelled by motives you do not really
understand to do actions you cannot explain to others.
CAPRICORN
- Dec. 22-Jan. 19 – The Moon is in Capricorn from 9:39 am
Thursday till Saturday morning. Thursday night is quite pleasant for
a night on the town with sporting friends. Friday is busy with
matters related to insurance or estates; you will have lots of
questions and lots of paperwork to get taken care of. Vesta enters
your solar eleventh house this week; it really is not necessary to
give up your art class to go hang out with friends, but if that's
what you want to do . . .
AQUARIUS
- Jan. 20-Feb. 17 – Vesta enters your career house this
week; higher authorities make demands on you. Fixed signs are
frustrated Friday by authorities or deadlines; break down the tasks
required of you into less-intimidating chunks. The Moon is in
Aquarius from 9:52 am Saturday thru the weekend. Late morning is
rather challenging and your mate may be extra frustrated, possibly
with you and then again maybe not. You may have to do a little
hand-holding. A Full Moon in your sign is coming Sunday, Aug. 10 so
make plans to catch rays that afternoon.
PISCES
- Feb. 18-March 19 - Vesta enters your solar ninth house this
week; travel may have a more serious purpose than mere recreation.
You might travel to take a course, or study with a master of a given
craft or business. Ruler Jupiter is rather over-confident on Tuesday
(and Saturday too), although you never object to excess. Mars trines
your other ruler, Neptune, on Thursday morning and you feel like
dancing thru the day. Best day may be Thursday pm when you discuss
movies with friends perhaps over a nice wine.

Dear

Happy Birthday to Leos
out there! More celebs with Sun
in Leo: Tom Robbins, Anthony Kennedy, Maxfield Parrish, Mick Jagger,
Beatrix Potter, Frankie Yankovic, David Baldacci, Louis Leakey,
Sylvia Sidney, Cecil B DeMille, Annie Oakley, Tim Tebow, Meriweather
Lewis.
Venus at 11 degrees
Cancer opposes Pluto in Capricorn at 2:37 am Monday. Venus
and Pluto aspects sometimes affect a “soul mate” relationship.
With the opposition, there are obstacles or one party rejects the
other party. Sometimes the opposition indicates intense
soul-searching about what kind of life you want, as well as what kind
of love you want.
Mercury enters kingly
Leo at 6:46 pm Thursday. Mercury
in Leo tends to be rather arrogant – he's always right because he's
the king, you know. At any rate, when this Leo talks it comes off
sounding dictatorial, which makes communication rather one-sided and
unsuccessful. However, if one's message is couched in Leo's talent
for dramatic impact, then communication can be very successful. Leo
can sure leave a lasting impression! This Mercury also wants to hear
expressions of loyalty. Mercury in Leo does have the advantage of
combining the mind with the heart, which makes what he says go
straight to the listener's heart. With his personal charisma, he
could be a very popular speaker. Famous people with Mercury
in Leo include: author Ernest
Hemingway, Napoleon, Beatle Ringo Starr, former talk-show host Merv
Griffin, Louis Armstrong aka Satchmo, Fidel Castro, painter Marc
Chagall, baseball manager Casey Stengel, and Paul Tillich.
Venus at 16 degrees
Cancer squares Uranus in Aries at 12:43 am Friday. First,
let's be clear: Venus can be love or it can be money. Taking the
latter first, this transit can bring sudden expenses or sudden
windfalls. You may have difficulties re finances: declare bankruptcy,
change or lose jobs, or conversely, win a lottery. With love, you
may fall in love with the charming stranger or foreigner, or get a
proposal of marriage. The square unfortunately indicates too many
obstacles for this to be a lasting alliance-- maybe he/she is at that
party with another date, which he/she is eager to ditch for an
interesting dinner with you.
Venus at 16 degrees
Cancer trines Saturn in Scorpio at 6:22 am Friday.
Obviously this is related to the issues stated above under the
Venus-Uranus square. Regarding finances, it is very positive because
you are more inclined to stick to your budget, or set up a savings
plan. We find a safe investment for our money. Regarding romance, we
are comfortable with an older person, or we are happy to link up with
someone who is financially stable.
Mars at 3 degrees
Scorpio squares Jupiter in Leo at 6:47 pm Friday. Any
aspect between Mars and Jupiter can be lucky; the square indicates
that we have to make some focused effort to get there because nothing
is going to fall into our lap. We are extra competitive at sports or
in business, going deep down for that second effort that wins the
game. There may be some risk involved, such as with placing a bet on
a sporting event, or sinking cash into a start-up. We tend to win
more than we lose under this transit, so we feel we are on a roll.
On Saturday, Mercury
gets busy – it conjoins Jupiter at 3 degrees Leo at 3:33 pm, while
squaring Mars at 3 degrees Scorpio at 8:01 pm. Mercury
square Mars is very argumentative, and in Leo it takes on the manner
of issuing a royal edict! However, with the conjunction to Jupiter,
this Leo may just be right about the facts.

for further clues to how your week will develop. NOTE: some aspects
are exact on a weekend but may find opportunity for expression on the
Friday or Monday nearest the exact aspect. Times given are in Eastern
Standard or Eastern Daylight Savings Time depending on the season.
ARIES
- March 20-April 19 – Venus in Cancer in your solar fourth
house opposes Pluto Monday; balancing career and family gets tricky,
and you may be forced into an either-or decision. Mercury enters your
solar fifth house Thursday; try to remember to put your heart into
what you say, especially when speaking to children or a romantic
interest. Friday can be very lucky for you if playing games of chance
or betting on sports, or even if you are competing in some kind of
games. Might be best if you took a quick-pick or let someone else
invest for you.
TAURUS
- April 20-May 20 - Venus in Cancer in your solar third house
opposes Pluto Monday; balancing time for friends near and far can get
tricky, especially if you are considering a move overseas or going
back to university. Mercury enters your solar fourth house Thursday;
try to remember to put your heart into what you say, especially when
speaking to family members.
GEMINI
- May 21-June 20 - Venus in Cancer in your solar second house
opposes Pluto Monday; balancing personal and joint finances gets
tricky, and debts or loans figure into the equation. Mercury enters
your solar third house Thursday; try to remember to put your heart
into what you say, especially when speaking to relatives or clerks.
Best days are Thursday morn – when ruler Mercury helps you reach
people you need to talk to – and Saturday afternoon – when you
see the larger pattern and act accordingly.
CANCER
- June 21-July 22 – Venus in your sign opposes Pluto Monday;
balancing Self and demands by others can get very tricky, especially
if your mate demands all your time and attention. Friday pm can be
very lucky for you if betting on sports or taking some kind of risk,
so sharpen up your basketball free-throw game and team-picking
skills. You may have to accept a delay in college or publishing plans
for a couple months, until Ceres and Vesta have made things ready for
your plans.
LEO
- July 23-Aug. 22 – The Moon is in Leo from Sunday till very
late Monday. You may enjoy feeling the wind in your hair while
driving Sunday night, but watch out for the local speed trap, hmm?
The Moon is void all day Monday so stick to routine matters. Mercury
enters your sign Thursday; try not to sound arrogant, but do put your
heart into what you say. Ceres and Vesta enter your solar fourth
house for a couple months; you may spend the summer away from home,
or family members may take off for assorted jobs or courses.
VIRGO
- Aug. 23-Sept. 22 – Venus in Cancer in your solar eleventh
house opposes Pluto Monday; balancing time for friends and creative
expression gets tricky, and some friends may drop you. The Moon is in
Virgo from 11:37 pm Monday till midday Thursday. You manage to reach
friends by phone Thursday morning so touch base and confirm lunch
dates.
Your
audience is too confused for a good post-lunch meeting Tuesday. Best
day is Wednesday morn when you introduce a dear friend to a wise old
relative or neighbor. You manage to get hold of a friend by phone
Thursday morn.
LIBRA
- Sept. 23-Oct. 22 – The Moon is in Libra from 12:09 pm
Thursday till Saturday night. Thursday night favors spending good
times with boon companions. Early risers on Friday can share a
congenial breakfast while getting shopping and budget tips. Friday
dinner is at a sporting venue, which may be a lucky night for you.
Saturday shows lots of activity with friends, possibly at some kind
of fund-raising event for a non-profit. You may have to be very
strict about budgeting for the next two months and forego luxuries,
in order to pay off some debt or save for something special.
SCORPIO
- Oct. 23-Nov. 21 – Your solar ninth house is very active
this week; you may meet people from other countries or who have an
accent, and enjoy hearing their impressions of the USA. These will
probably be short-term relationships, possibly through work contracts
or something like that. Mercury enters your solar tenth house
Thursday; you could be interviewed for a job this month, or sound
like a boss. The Moon enters Scorpio at 10:57 pm Saturday. Ooh, the
midnight hour belongs to Scorpio anyway. Ceres and Vesta enter your
sign the latter part of the week; you need time to yourself, when you
can nurture and care for yourself like a hothouse orchid.
SAGITTARIUS
- Nov. 22-Dec. 21 – Best day may be Sunday although the
evening may have its ups and down, like a thrilling roller coaster
ride. Mercury enters compatible Leo on Thursday; you have to sound
confident and in command of all the facts if you go to court (or talk
to a publisher); however guard against sounding arrogant, and
remember to put your heart behind your words. Friday also throws some
surprises your way regarding friends and finances. Saturday favors a
campus visit, online if you are considering free enrichment courses.
CAPRICORN
- Dec. 22-Jan. 19 – Your solar seventh house of partners and
the public is active this week. Venus in Cancer opposes Pluto Monday;
balancing Self and demands by others can get very tricky, especially
if your mate demands all your time and attention. Best day may be
Wednesday morn when an older friend is involved. Friday may find you
getting rather too interested in a charming foreigner. Joint finances
are accented Saturday; you might serve as teller or croupier at your
casino-night party.
AQUARIUS
- Jan. 20-Feb. 17 - Mercury enters your solar seventh house
Thursday; try to remember to put your heart into what you say,
especially when speaking to business partners or your spouse. Best
day is probably Friday, when ruler Saturn is trined by lovely Venus;
you add a layer of charm to your ambition, and are able to schmooze
with the higher-ups like a pro. Ceres and Vesta enter your solar
tenth house late this week; you may be passed over for promotion, but
the time is just not right yet. Just be patient and work on skills
you will need for the big job.
PISCES
- Feb. 18-March 19 - Venus in Cancer in your solar fifth house
opposes Pluto Monday; balancing time for friends and creative
expression gets tricky, and some friends may drop you. Mercury enters
your solar sixth house Thursday; try to remember to put your heart
into what you say, especially when speaking to coworkers or people in
uniform. Best day may be Saturday when your ruler Jupiter joins
Mercury and you feel extra playful and competitive.

Your Milky Way Horoscope JULY 20-26, 2014
By
Milky Way Maid
Dear Readers-- Please
visit the website of the National Blood Clot Alliance at
StopTheClot.org to learn more about blood clots and when you might
need to see a doctor about it.
A
busy week this last full week of July! Planets making stations,
planets changing signs, plus a New Moon! Read on for more.
Saturn is Stationary
Direct at 4:36 pm Sunday. It is at 16 degrees 39' Scorpio. During
the retrograde phase we restructured some parts of our lives (or
should have). We should have decided to take responsibility for our
actions, and for the results of those actions. Setting boundaries is
another side of Saturn, a necessary task if we are to avoid being
used by others. We might set up a more demanding schedule for
ourselves, something that requires more of us than just keeping up
with mundane chores. Fixed signs like Scorpio are usually pretty
stubborn, and Saturn going direct in such a sign helps you to stick
to your guns, aim at a goal, and follow through on promises.
Uranus is Stationary
Retrograde at 10:53 pm Monday. It is at 16 degrees 30' Aries,
which is coincidentally inconjunct the Saturn station the day before;
inconjuncts sometimes mean things come out of nowhere – life pulls
the rug out from under us. Uranus stations tend to make things pretty
chaotic for a few days. The Uranus retrograde makes us think twice
about doing something outrageous, which may be a good thing. And yet
we might plow ahead and go out of our way to upset an apple cart or
two. If it contacts a natal planet, we may have trouble finding our
niche in life; the energies of that planet contacted may be
frustrated. We feel that we are different; well of course we are
unique in some way, but we feel we are so different that the society
has no place for us. At the very least, we feel uncomfortable about
the status quo and start wishing things were different. Dane Rudhyar
says the Uranus retrograde involves some kind of Visitation from the
Spirit, as the individuality unfolds to a truer expression of the
light within.
Mercury at 11 degrees
Cancer opposes Pluto in Capricorn at 2:47 am Tuesday.
This sounds like a great transit for research, or for grilling
someone for information. You can drill down through layers of data to
find the telling details that solve a puzzle.
The Sun enters its
home in Leo at 5:41 pm Tuesday. It promptly conjoins Jupiter at 4:44
pm Thursday. Sun in Leo is
spontaneous, outgoing, vain, attention-getting, a glutton for
approval, and loves to be made a fuss over. But when they turn the
spotlight on others, their warmth brings out the Leo in them, too.
Likes to be in a position of authority, and makes a good manager in
spite of being bored with details and repetition. Leos are magnetic
as they draw others to them, especially pulling guests into their
home for very entertaining parties. Famous people with the
Sun in Leo include: Jackie
Kennedy Onassis, poet Percy Shelley, playwright George Bernard Shaw,
Napoleon, comedienne Lucille Ball, chef Julia Child, Fidel Castro,
James Baldwin, baseball manager Casey Stengel, Paul Tillich, Eero
Saarinen, Mussolini, aviator Amelia Earhart, rocker Mick Jagger,
David Baldacci, Annie Oakley, director Cecil B DeMille, sprinter
Usain Bolt, and Fritz Freleng.
Sun conjunct Jupiter:
Natives with this transit expand their horizons in some way, whether
by travel, a new job, gaining a more optimistic outlook, studying
philosophy or law, or widening their network of contacts. Sometimes
they become the star of the show, maybe it's on a very private,
off-off-off-the-beaten-path stage but it's theirs.
Venus at 7 degrees
Cancer trines Neptune in Pisces at 7:10 am Thursday.
This is the classic in-love-with-love aspect. Try to keep your feet
on the ground when being charmed by the new beau. You can also tune
in to others in a very empathetic way, making them feel that someone
really understands them. This is a great transit for expressing
yourself in painting, music, poetry, photography, and any other art
or craft. Visit a gallery for inspiration!
Mercury at 16 degrees
Cancer squares retrograde Uranus in Aries at 8:07 pm Thursday; it
immediately trines Saturn in Scorpio at 10:11 pm the same night.
Mercury in a water sign is very
fast, so when it squares Uranus you can sure expect things to happen
in a hurry. Caution: this is an accident-prone transit so be careful
driving and watch your head! Your mind may work very fast today,
which means you need to check your work the next day. Make notes of
your thoughts to think thru later, make a to-do list to stay on
track. Nerves can be jittery, so it might be wise to stay off the
caffeine; you will definitely NOT need the extra stimulation today.
Try to watch yourself for impulsiveness, even rashness; signal before
changing lanes, for example.
Mars enters Scorpio,
where it is co-ruler, at 10:25 pm Friday.
Mars in Scorpio wants control of his environment. Often Scorpios wind
up in some type of managerial position, maybe just so they can order
their own chair and organize things the way they prefer in their
office. Can learn to coax others into talking about their goals by
revealing (at least partially) one of their own motives or
intentions. Scorpio natives will find this transit lends steel to
their goals, turning you into that irresistible force that overturns
immovable objects. Could also be vengeful, unless you have
transformed into the eagle rather than the scorpion. Your taste may
turn towards horror movies and the like. Mars in Scorpio is apt at
using sharp tools, whether as a butcher or as a surgeon. Famous
people with Mars in Scorpio include:
Jean-Paul Sartre, Robert Louis Stevenson, George Washington, Eleanor
Roosevelt, Alan Jay Lerner, Jonas Salk, Mohandas Gandhi, and Robert
F. Kennedy.
We have a New Moon at
3 degrees 52' Leo at 6:42 pm Saturday.
The Moon conjoined Jupiter three hours earlier, and the Moon's next
aspect is a trine to Uranus at 8:14 pm the following Sunday, July 27.
Moon-Jupiter expands the self to embrace the whole world of
experience, law, scholarship, travel, and the arts, and the trine to
Uranus eases expression of our insights into whatever forms is
available to us. We will probably have our eyes opened to other ways
of living, and implement new ways of doing things. We may plan a trip
to foreign shores, or even get on the boat or plane. We run into
people who are very different from ourselves, and we like them a lot!

their lives in order during the retrograde, and they pay you back
with treating you to dinner.
AQUARIUS
- Jan. 20-Feb. 17 – Thursday favors trading favors with a
coworker. Saturday's New Moon may herald quite a lucky month for you

Your Milky Way Horoscope JULY 13-19, 2014
By
Milky Way Maid
Dear
Readers-- Please visit the website of the National Blood Clot
Alliance at StopTheClot.org to learn more about blood clots and when
you might need to see a doctor about it.
Mercury enters Cancer
at 12:45 am Sunday. (This is
the first of three planets changing signs this week.) People with
Mercury (as well as the Moon) in Cancer are known for having
phenomenal memories. Cancerians with this placement often inject
pleas for sympathy in their speech, which can be unwelcome in the
office setting – the flip side is that they often take care of
their employees or coworkers, soothing ruffled feathers and bringing
in treats. Extremely intuitive without knowing how they know. Prefers
to quote precedent rather than set new precedents. Good for
historians and antique dealers and some fields of academia. Tends to
collect things. Famous people with Mercury in Cancer
include: Prince Philip, Nelson
Rockefeller, Paul Anka, Van Cliburn.
Venus at 23 degrees
Gemini trines Mars in Libra at 4:22 am Sunday. A
good time to meet and fall in love with your Knight in Shining Armor.
With Venus in Gemini, conversation should flow easily with lots of
wit and sparkle. Mars in Libra is polite and well-spoken, doing
everything right. What's not to like?
Jupiter enters fiery
Leo at 6:30 am Wednesday.
Jupiter in a fiery, fixed sign like Leo is prone to develop huge egos
to the point where they are unbearable. Yet the basic magnanimous
quality of a real Leo has to spill out to everyone within his reach.
Wants the best for everyone and is capable of great executive and
leadership ability. May be blessed with talent and gain the public
eye, and can be quite a showman. Jupiter really does things big in
Leo, in a very showy and public way. Famous people with
Jupiter in Leo include: Anne
Bancroft, Rex Harrison, Alexander the Great, Brigham Young, Richard
Wagner, Elizabeth Taylor, Eleanor Roosevelt, J P Morgan, Luther
Burbank, and Juan Peron.
Venus enters
sympathetic Cancer at 10:06 am Friday.
Venus in Cancer is the baker rather than the chef, although a native
with this placement may do both. Venus here needs to care for and
nourish others; denied the opportunity to feed other people, the
native may feed the birds or compulsively overeat. This Cancer's love
is freely given without strings attached, and really needs an
emotional outlet for his/her own health. Often has large families
and/or large breasts. Famous people with Venus in Cancer
include: Judy Garland, Margot
Fonteyn, Dean Martin, Igor Stravinsky, Louis Armstrong, Bob Hope,
Constantine of Greece, William Styron, and Hubert Humphrey.
Mercury at 7 degrees
Cancer trines Neptune in Pisces at 1:37 am Saturday.
I know I have said before that Mercury and Neptune really do not go
together very well at all! Messages get misunderstood even if they
are quite clear. People get lost in transit, or confused about the
time or place. On the bright side, we can make words into magic, such
as in poetry, spells, self-hypnosis, affirmations.
The Sun at 26 degrees
Cancer squares Mars in Libra at 2:32 am Saturday.
People with this transit affecting personal signs tend to dig in and
never give up. You try to beat them at a board game, pickup
basketball, a race or a debate and they will hold on till the finish
trying to maintain their position and keep you from passing them.
They may not have enough to win, but they will bust a gut trying to
keep you from passing them.

Friday or Monday nearest the exact aspect. Times given are in Eastern
Standard or Eastern Daylight Savings Time depending on the season.
ARIES
- March 20-April 19 – The Moon is in Aries from 12:07 am
Thursday till Saturday morn. On Thursday morning it is important to
verify the content of messages and inquiries. On Thursday night, the
axiom that you cannot fight City Hall is brought home to you. Venus
enters your solar fourth house on Friday; you spruce up the home with
a bit of paint or redecoration. Friday night is challenging and
argumentative. Mercury also enters your solar fourth house this
week; you may host an exchange student or let the study group meet at
your home.
TAURUS
- April 20-May 20 – The Moon is in Taurus from 4:43 am
Saturday thru the weekend. You may score a nice rummage sale find
early Saturday, or talk the seller into a bargain. Saturday night
favors an early movie followed by sparkling chatter over dinner or
possibly an interesting lecture. Mercury and Venus enter your solar
third house this week; you may receive lots of invites to parties, or
take fun day trips to art shows and scenic places. Possible expansion
of your home or family in the coming year.
GEMINI
- May 21-June 20 – The Venus-Mars trine Sunday (or late the
Saturday before) is ideal for meeting your newest and best romance;
watch the sun rise together on a new shared life. Also Mercury and
Venus enter your solar second house this week; sales pick up, and you
benefit as well from bonuses or freebies. Jupiter entering your solar
third house means luck through short trips in the coming year, also
you probably spend way too much at the bookstore.
CANCER
- June 21-July 22 –
Romantic times at your getaway home this Sunday. Mercury and
Venus enter your sign this week; go to the salon for a new look, and
send out lots of invites to your pool party. Jupiter enters your
solar second house on Wednesday; Jove protects your financial
interests for the coming year, although you may be tempted mightily
to overspend. You dig deep to beat a competitor early Saturday at
what is supposed to be a fun-run.
LEO
- July 23-Aug. 22 – On Sunday a friend may start to look
more like a good romantic prospect; invite him/her along to a local
festival. Jupiter enters your sign this Wednesday; be generous with
your love and encouragement of others. Spread around your good
fortune and share the spotlight with others. Beware of gaining weight
under this transit, though. Saturday morning is not favorable for
winning an athletic event, since you may waste energy in a duel too
early.
VIRGO
- Aug. 23-Sept. 22 – Mercury and Venus enter your solar
eleventh house this week; lots of visits with friends, who shower you
with tips, gifts, or freebies. Jupiter enters your solar twelfth
house on Wednesday; Jove in that position usually means a secret
angel is looking out for you, by that I mean a real live person but
someone who stays in the shadows. Saturday brings a chance of winning
a money prize in an athletic competition, assuming you are prepared
and fit.
LIBRA
- Sept. 23-Oct. 22 – Sunday morning is a good time to meet
Mr Right, so take your early morning walk in a scenic area. Mercury
and Venus enter your solar tenth house this week; good progress marks
your career path especially if you are in sales or marketing. Jupiter
enters your solar eleventh house on Wednesday; luck through friends
or groups marks the coming year, but you need to dream big. You may
meet a tough competitor early Saturday, someone sure to make you dig
deep for your best effort.
SCORPIO
- Oct. 23-Nov. 21 – Mercury and Venus enter your solar ninth
house this week; favorable news and reviews re your manuscript or
your website gets more hits, or you write a lot of papers for your
college courses. Jupiter enters your solar tenth house on Wednesday;
you may get your big break career-wise. Have your resume and elevator
talk honed to perfection. Saturday is not favorable for competing in
athletic or other competitions; but you might learn something about
pacing yourself.
SAGITTARIUS
- Nov. 22-Dec. 21 – Lots of activity in the coming month
inre insurance payments or premiums, or you may be shopping around
for a better deal. Jupiter enters your solar ninth house on
Wednesday; you may be in the courtroom sometime in the coming year,
look at it as a chance to learn something about the legal system. A
fun run with friends is favored for Saturday morning, tho an
unexpected entrant is likely to run your socks off.
CAPRICORN
- Dec. 22-Jan. 19 - Mercury and Venus enter your solar seventh
house this week; your mate is extra affectionate and chatty,
interested in your feelings and thoughts. Jupiter enters your solar
eighth house on Wednesday; joint accounts and investments through
others grow. Also your insurance plan may save your bacon one day.
Saturday morning may be challenging in the sense that you may enter a
competition and rather enjoy trying to beat everyone else.
AQUARIUS
- Jan. 20-Feb. 17 – The Moon is in Aquarius from Sunday till
Monday night. Monday afternoon favors sports and competition of any
kind, or making cold sales calls. Mid afternoon favors closing those
sales with some token gift or enhancement. The coming year may be
marked by several marriage proposals; the already married enjoy good
luck thru the spouse. Saturday is not very favorable for competitions
of any kind, since you may injure yourself trying to win and lose
training time.
PISCES
- Feb. 18-March 19 – The Moon is in Pisces from 10:40 pm
Monday till early Thursday. Mid morning Tuesday is not favorable for
appointments or doing personal business, since you are easily
confused at that time. Have a mentor over for dinner that night.
Wednesday afternoon favors relationships, including having group
meetings at work. That night can be frustrating for romance. Mercury
and Venus enter your solar fifth house this week; dancing and
concerts and fun fill your happy days.

Your Milky Way Horoscope JULY 6-12, 2014
By
Milky Way Maid
Dear
Readers-- Please visit the website of the National Blood Clot
Alliance at StopTheClot.org to learn more about blood clots and when
you might need to see a doctor about it.
Venus at 16 degrees
Gemini sextiles Uranus in Aries at 2:49 am Monday. Pleasant
surprises regarding money get plopped in your lap – that's always
nice, so go ahead and buy a lottery ticket or two. We enjoy meeting
people who are very different from ourselves, perhaps a foreigner,
somebody with an accent, a very independent sort, a bohemian, someone
with unusual talents or living arrangements. There is often a
romantic attraction to such people, although this usually does not
last long-term.
The Sun at 16 degrees
Cancer squares Uranus in Aries at 12:23 pm Tuesday.
The Sun with Uranus often denotes a change agent of some kind. We
often resent anyone who tries to force us to change, but when these
transits arise, we are usually in great need of shaking up our lives
a bit. The square often means we find ourselves trying to fight City
Hall, and even though City Hall almost always wins, we keep trying to
force it to be more responsive to what we believe is the will of the
people. With both planets at the world degree in cardinal signs, this
may trigger events of global interest, so watch the news tonight.
The Sun at 16 degrees
Cancer trines Saturn in Scorpio at 8:29 pm Tuesday.
This follows close on the heels of the square to Uranus, and at the
same degree. In this case, The Rules are your friends; by contrast,
the square to Uranus always tends to try to buck the rules. Some of
us may receive honors or recognition for an achievement, or at least
derive a sense of accomplishment for doing what we did. The Sun on a
world degree may denote that someone already in the public eye
receives an honor.
We have a Full Moon at
20 degrees 3' Capricorn, at 7:25 am Saturday. It
is preceded by the Moon sextile Saturn in Scorpio, and succeeded by a
square to Mars in Libra. The Sun is conjunct Jupiter, which magnifies
the effect of the current Grand Cross in cardinal signs; major
stresses will afflict nations such as China, Great Britain, Japan,
and others. And natives of those cardinal signs will similarly be
heavily stressed – um, we're supposed to say challenged, not
stressed – tho fortunately the cardinal-sign people are generally
quite thrilled to have another mountain to climb.

are exact on a weekend but may find opportunity for expression on the
Friday or Monday nearest the exact aspect. Times given are in Eastern
Standard or Eastern Daylight Savings Time depending on the season.
ARIES
- March 20-April 19 - Ceres and Vesta in your solar seventh
house favor taking some quiet time this week to work on relationship
bonds; perhaps setting up a weekly date or picnic lunch would be a
pleasurable way to make memories. Ruler Mars makes a pleasant aspect
midday Thursday; you might enjoy a chat over lunch about spouses and
tips off the internet on keeping them happy. The Chiron and Pallas
opposition this week affects your health houses; see your
practitioner and schedule those checkups you keep avoiding.
TAURUS
- April 20-May 20 – Ruler Venus makes a happy aspect to
Uranus early Monday for a surprise money windfall, or more likely a
gift from a secret angel. Worst day may be Wednesday morn when your
affections are not reciprocated, but probably merely because the
other person is in a hurry. Saturday morning's Full Moon in earth
sign Capricorn is likely favorable for legal matters, publishing, the
internet, or planning long trips. The Chiron-Pallas opposition is on
your fifth and eleventh house axis, where you may needlessly
sacrifice your own creative interests due to peer pressure.
GEMINI
- May 21-June 20 – Best day may be Sunday morning when you
receive promises or offers of help; best to nail people down on
specifics though. Also Tuesday pm favors asking your mate to be
generous with you. Ceres and Vesta in your solar fifth house favor
taking some quiet time this week to focus on artistic pursuits that
are just to please yourself. The Chiron-Pallas opposition is on your
tenth and fourth house angles, which may force you to sacrifice
family life for career goals or vice versa.
CANCER
- June 21-July 22 – Moonchildren are especially active and
happy when the Sun is in their sign. Plan your pool parties or trips
to the beach this month, inviting as many kids over as possible.
You're the kind who really enjoy cramming the car full of kids, wet
bathing suits, and the dog on a fine summer day. Jupiter will exit
your sign next week, so let the good times roll while they can.
LEO
- July 23-Aug. 22 - Ceres and Vesta in your solar third house
favor taking some quiet time this week to get re-acquainted with
relatives or neighbors, perhaps setting up an arrangement for someone
who can babysit until you get home from work. The Chiron and Pallas
opposition this week affects your money houses, so you may be forced
to go to a financial counselor to work out a plan to better manage
your personal funds.
VIRGO
- Aug. 23-Sept. 22 –Ruler
Mercury is in a lucky aspect Sunday morning; some money may be due
you from a legal judgment. It may be hard for you to get a word in
edgewise Thursday night. Chiron in Pisces opposes Pallas in
your sign this week; get to a health practitioner asap for nagging
problems. Saturday morning's Full Moon in earth sign Capricorn is
likely favorable for dealings with children or for opportunities to
nurture your creative talents.
LIBRA
- Sept. 23-Oct. 22 – The Moon is in Libra till Sunday
afternoon. Early risers may receive offers of help and sympathy if
you will only share details of your situation; try to swap favors
with people you know. Try to avoid over-doing things midday Sunday,
such as going to the all-you-can-eat buffet too many times. Ruler
Venus makes a happy aspect to Uranus early Monday for a surprise
money windfall, possibly from asking your spouse nicely for a little
something.
SCORPIO
- Oct. 23-Nov. 21 – The Moon is in Scorpio from 3:34 pm
Sunday till Tuesday night. Very early risers on Monday get inspired
by the sunrise. Early afternoon favors having a discussion with your
mentor. Monday night favors social events, although you might leave a
bit early to catch up on work before turning in. A professional may
upset you Tuesday with a list of recommended changes. Dinner hour
with a legal eagle associate gives you reason for optimism. Ruler
Mars makes a pleasant aspect midday Thursday; you might enjoy a chat
over lunch about money management tips or shopping the sales.
SAGITTARIUS
- Nov. 22-Dec. 21 – The Moon is in Sag from 9:25 pm Tuesday
till late Thursday. Family life can be pretty chaotic Wednesday
morning. You may feel ignored by someone you love on Thursday
morning. Get outside for a walk during the Thursday lunch break. You
can get a lot done Thursday night if you just settle down and start
in with it. The Chiron-Pallas opposition is on your tenth and fourth
house angles, which may force you to sacrifice family life for career
goals or vice versa.
CAPRICORN
- Dec. 22-Jan. 19 – The Moon is in Capricorn from 11:25 pm
Thursday till Saturday night. You enjoy a Friday lunch-hour
discussion about which new movies to go see. Start a new affirmation
during or after dinner hour Friday. Saturday can be rather tense, but
you probably work off tensions with errands and yard work. Ceres and
Vesta in your solar tenth house favor taking some quiet time this
week to refocus career goals and motivate yourself.
AQUARIUS
- Jan. 20-Feb. 17 – Ruler Uranus makes a nice aspect to
Venus on Monday; you enjoy meeting strangers especially those who
hail from foreign shores or have an accent. Tuesday may bring a
change agent into your life, possibly a coworker or someone you
otherwise see almost every day. The Moon is in Aquarius from 11:07 pm
Saturday thru the rest of the weekend. Ceres and Vesta in your solar
ninth house favor taking some quiet time this week to confer with
professionals on legal, publishing, or spiritual matters to help
refocus your life.
PISCES
- Feb. 18-March 19 – Pallas in Virgo opposes Chiron in your
sign this week; get to a health practitioner asap for nagging
problems. Ruler Neptune is quite happy Monday morning; maybe you can
go for an early swim, or work on your piano playing technique.
Co-ruler Jupiter enjoys dining with youngsters or artists Tuesday
night. Your ideals may be sorely tried Wednesday morning. Midday
Friday may be your best period; have lunch with your favorite dreamer
friend.
