Venus at 16 degrees Gemini sextiles Uranus in Aries at 2:49 am Monday. Pleasant surprises regarding money get plopped in your lap – that's always nice, so go ahead and buy a lottery ticket or two. We enjoy meeting people who are very different from ourselves, perhaps a foreigner, somebody with an accent, a very independent sort, a bohemian, someone with unusual talents or living arrangements. There is often a romantic attraction to such people, although this usually does not last long-term. 

 

The Sun at 16 degrees Cancer squares Uranus in Aries at 12:23 pm Tuesday. The Sun with Uranus often denotes a change agent of some kind. We often resent anyone who tries to force us to change, but when these transits arise, we are usually in great need of shaking up our lives a bit. The square often means we find ourselves trying to fight City Hall, and even though City Hall almost always wins, we keep trying to force it to be more responsive to what we believe is the will of the people. With both planets at the world degree in cardinal signs, this may trigger events of global interest, so watch the news tonight. 

 

The Sun at 16 degrees Cancer trines Saturn in Scorpio at 8:29 pm Tuesday. This follows close on the heels of the square to Uranus, and at the same degree. In this case, The Rules are your friends; by contrast, the square to Uranus always tends to try to buck the rules. Some of us may receive honors or recognition for an achievement, or at least derive a sense of accomplishment for doing what we did. The Sun on a world degree may denote that someone already in the public eye receives an honor. 

 

We have a Full Moon at 20 degrees 3' Capricorn, at 7:25 am Saturday. It is preceded by the Moon sextile Saturn in Scorpio, and succeeded by a square to Mars in Libra. The Sun is conjunct Jupiter, which magnifies the effect of the current Grand Cross in cardinal signs; major stresses will afflict nations such as China, Great Britain, Japan, and others. And natives of those cardinal signs will similarly be heavily stressed – um, we're supposed to say challenged, not stressed – tho fortunately the cardinal-sign people are generally quite thrilled to have another mountain to climb.
