Mercury at 27 degrees Scorpio sextiles Mars in Virgo at 11:35 am Tuesday. One can use one's verbal skills (Mercury) to convince (Mars) others of the correctness of your opinion. Mental and physical energy can be high, easily outpacing that of co-workers, so you might be better off working alone at your own quick tempo. Good for sports that require eye-hand coordination, or for crafts and skilled labor. Note that this Mars is very, very nit-picky and will split hairs to make a point, since it is in Virgo. 

 

Mercury enters Sag at 9:42 pm Wednesday. Bear in mind that Mercury is in the sign of its detriment in Sag, since it rules the opposite sign Gemini. That means that while the mind may be nimble here, the conclusions it draws may be quite careless of the facts. The mind is in other words, too prone to hasty conclusions. Theories may have no or too few facts to back them up. Nevertheless Sag is very inclined to self-righteous pomposity in presenting his conclusions as obvious fact. Powers of concentration can be weak, and memory can be unreliable. However, this Mercury can be very blessed with accurate hunches. Tends to be unfailingly honest, often blurting out what he thinks without couching his words in gentle consideration of others' feelings. Call this the perfect wrong-way Mercury, who sets out for his destination and winds up 100 miles away at a gas station, calling the auto service for directions. One can be extra sensitive to other people's emotions, even empathetic or psychic. Might even feel kind of spacey, so it might be best to let someone else drive. Will need to make an extra effort to make sure messages are clearly understood. Can be extra sensitive to music or art, too, so it might be a good day to visit a gallery or museum. 

 

Mars enters Libra at 3:41 pm Saturday. This ingress is of another planet into the sign of its detriment – recall that Mars rules the opposite sign Aries. This Mars can be almost militant about maintaining peace at any price, sometimes squelching dissent to maintain the appearance of harmony. In a mature Libra, this Mars is good at initiating contact to air differences. Only then can a peace based on truth be established. Can be outraged at injustice – and frequently outraged! A born protester. Can make a good judge if disciplined and self-controlled. Mars in Libra is good at weighing the merits of both sides of an argument or legal case, and drawing a fair judgment. This Mars can be either very good or very bad!

Retrograde Mercury at 13 degrees Scorpio is conjunct Saturn at 4:48 pm Tuesday. You may have a tough go of it slogging thru college study material, but hang in there because your efforts will pay off in the end. Because Mercury is retrograde, what you learn or decide may be redone or rethought or taken back. Scientific methods need to be checked against a master “cheat sheet” of some kind. 

 

Mars at 9 degrees Virgo trines Pluto in Capricorn at 6:45 am Thursday. This aspect may make it possible to dig down deep for a second effort on the ball field. It will be like accessing a supercharger!

Friday, November 1 is top-heavy with aspects:

Uranus at 9 degrees Aries squares Pluto in Capricorn at 7:13 am. This square can bring deep and radical changes – a bit like getting radical surgery for cancer, altho some cases may really require such drastic procedures. Some people with natal talents can psychically diagnose illnesses (whether physical or psychological). 

 

Retrograde Mercury at 10 degrees Scorpio sextiles Mars in Virgo at 8:03 am. Mercury sextile Mars can bring a job offer that excites us, or anyway some message that is very exciting. There can be heated arguments or formal debates under such an aspect, or even lawsuits. With the retrograde, something may be wrong with a legal summons or contract, something that could require a do-over. 

 

Sun at 9 degrees Scorpio sextiles Pluto in Capricorn at 1:02 pm. We may be called upon to rise to the occasion, be presented with some challenge that requires we dig down to be a tower of strength for others. 

 

Sun at 9 degrees is conjunct Mercury at 4:16 pm. Sun conjunct the retrograde Mercury is a significant point in the economic cycle, so pay attention to what happens on Wall Street or at the Federal Reserve. 

 

Mercury at 9 degrees Scorpio sextiles Pluto in Capricorn at 6:46 pm. Mercury with Pluto can be an obsession when great powers of focus get fixated on relatively minor items. It's great for research and detective work of any type, be it medical, legal, criminal, or scientific. 

 

Looking ahead, a Solar Eclipse occurs on the Full Moon at 11 degrees 16' Scorpio, at 7:50 am Sunday, Nov. 3. The day is filled with easy conjunctions and sextiles, plus the lights are trine Jupiter. Things should be looking up for most people, especially natives of the water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces). The Pisceans may be considering surgery or other medical interventions, given the fact that Chiron is in close aspect with the Full Moon.

Mercury at 11 degrees Libra opposes Uranus in Aries at 2:41 am Monday. Mechanical and electronic items can go awry. However, the mind can work at incredible speed under this aspect, and other people will seem as slow as molasses. Thoughts can be scattered and easily lost, so it would be good to keep a notebook or notepad nearby to anchor your thoughts onto. One's mind may only be able to make an overall survey of a topic or subject (such as astrology or electronics or some technical subject) but just a glance can yield a brilliant insight. Yet – your mind can skip around and so you forget to carry the two, or some such basic task as that.

Mercury at 13 degrees Libra sextiles Mars in Leo at 3:17 am Tuesday. This is good for skilled handwork, technical work, or even sports where the hands are important for catching that ball! Mercury and Mars together often spell debate also, so remember to respect the other fellow's point of view even as you try to convince him/her of the correctness of yours.

Venus is conjunct Saturn at 8 degrees Scorpio at 4:54 pm Wednesday. Those who are in a serious romantic involvement may decide to formalize (Saturn) it with an engagement – or break things off if the other party is not willing to make a commitment. This aspect reflects the opposite ends of the spectrum of romance. On the one hand a relationship begun under it may well last for decades – and on the other, existing relationships may see separations often due to the demands of a job or college or something of the sort. It can be difficult to speak of love, altho much easier to do the deeds that express one's commitment to the other person.

Venus at 8 degrees 59' Scorpio sextiles Pluto in Capricorn at 9:49 pm Wednesday. This is good for romantic relationships to take steps toward a deeper knowledge of each other. You go right past the superficial and probe deep into the psyche and motivations of the other person. It also favors improving one's financial position by getting and taking advice from a large bank or possibly from an insurance company (Pluto). Pluto also represents the mob, altho I cannot possibly recommend getting a loan from a mobster!

Mercury at 16 degrees Libra squares Jupiter in Cancer at 10:21 pm Thursday. You can dream big, take the long-range view, and utterly forget the picky details of getting from Point A to Point B. Adverse aspects between Mercury and Jupiter can make it difficult to do well in school or in college; it can also affect one's ability to contact people of influence. The square sometimes coincides with EXAMS, requiring EFFORT to prepare for and pass said tests. Since this aspect occurs on the day of the New Moon, it may be that some of us deliberately challenge ourselves by enrolling in a class or starting some new brainteaser game-playing habit.

SCORPIO - Oct. 23-Nov. 21 – Remember to stay in the present moment on Monday morning; instead of letting your mind run away with inner chatter. Tuesday favors finding how to improve your skills and techniques, possibly at a company-sponsored seminar or retreat. Wednesday's Venus-Saturn conjunction gives you an air of having rock-solid values; people may turn to you as the Voice Of Experience. On Thursday you might look into taking a seminar at a quiet retreat setting.
